Indeed and its yet another valuable lessen that more people seem to need to learn. Fascinating reaction! Thank you so much for supporting Ren ❤. I feel that Ren directed this video to look like a piece of art in order to perhaps excentuate the fact that music is art too. I feel like the way it was filmed was to emulate something you'd find hanging in a museum or gallery. And did you know Ren told his fans that he would pay good money to anyone who could do an oil painting of that scene you showed (or one similar with the dead choir)? Well for your next reaction I suggest either starting with Money Game 1 (which is a one take video taking around 184 takes to get right) or Crutch. Both cost next to nothing to make i believe, but Crutch in particular. ❤
It would so work as a painting! It really is composed like a painting. They say this about film sometimes "every frame a painting", and they really outdid themselves with this one.
Lots of people speak about Ren's huge heart, his empathy. But you brought up a very important point that I haven't heard anyone else mention: I agree with you, we don't want Ren to be hardened by this experience. But obviously he's success has moved him into a space where more people see him as a bigger target - someone who has what they want. Thanks for this.
I keep looking at the scene where Kujo is backed by the choir @ 14.20 and for all the world they look to me like a row of corpses in their shrouds, lying in invisible coffins. I actually find that quite disturbing. As you point out, it's as if they are standing in judgment of the wrong they have been dealt. I enjoyed your analysis, I'm going to check out more of your stuff.
What you are missing is that Kujo sold Ren a beat with a stolen sample of a Bulgarian choir, so the people in the background are the choir. This stolen sample created a lot of trouble, and Kujo took no responsibility and even demanded more. So the choir lies in their blood around Ren and Kujo because the choir has been backstapped and by doing so Kujo created a bloody mess. Also you can see a shot moments before of the choir surounding Ren and Kujo in a surrportive manner, before being slayed. Could be because their input to the song was valuable and could have been positive if Kujo would not have stolen their work by sampling them without a license . Also something about the rounded stage and the choir standing there in half-circle on a pedestal, reminds me of a stage of ancient Greek tragedy. The image in the beginning of the video of a man holding the countdown outstreaced in one hand and the pencil in the other hand with some clothing over just one of his shoulder looks like an ancient Greek or Roman figure. And this whole situation is a tragedy (greek) but this beat down is also brutal so gladiator colosseum scene is also fitting.
i believe that Ren is becoming the most important creative independent artist on the social media platforms and he is the tide that will lift all ships
This is for everyone who puts their creative selves out there. For the people who have been wronged. A catharsis. If it's stopped Ren going into a major mental health episode then I see this as a more healthy outlet. I also love how it's shot. The strings sounding right out from Psycho
The pig mask is a theme in many of the tracks on the Sick Boi album and is even represented in the Sick Boi logo. It is Ren's representation of many things... greed, corruption etc. If you take this in context of the Hi Ren track, and of the beginning of this one with the 2 sides talking to each other, this whole video is taking place in Ren's head. This isn't even really about Kujo, this is Ren's way of working out his emotions. Almost his whole catalogue is Ren working out his emotions in his art.

Loving the Ren content. Can’t wait for you to react to the Money Game trilogy and Animal flow. He has also hinted that he has a new Project in a similar vein to Jenny and Screech in the works but with the production quality he now has access to it feels like it will be even more epic.
I've been getting suggestions for reactors new to me. I'm so glad I found your channel. I love your intelligence and the way you dissect the scenes - I really enjoy this! 🖤 (I love your hair)
I believe Ren has been through too much to change his beliefs in hope and goodwill for human beings because of this situation Especially after the direction of events recently He met with the You Tube head of music globally who was discussing what could make yt better for artists and reactors with him for a while Sick boi is back up and Ren is still planning to make a version without kujos beat He said in the Twitch stream after this was released he hopes Kujo can find it in himself to apologise and make steps in a good direction forward (my memory of what he said) Regardless he has all that he needs legally to sew this up now! Not the first time since I started following Ren that he has seen a difficult situation flipped to his best outcome
I love that you pointed out the people as judging and then to connect their deaths to being representative of the useless legal teams! Soooooooo insightful.
Thank you for your reaction. I'm sure we've all experienced bullying in the workplace, usually by someone in a position of power, so this felt very cathartic. But like you, I hope Ren doesn't allow this experience to taint him. We live in a world where there's far too much negativity , its easy to get dragged down by it. ✌
I really loved watching your take on this and what it meant to you. Especially coming from the point of view that you have been through a similar situation. I thought you were very insightful with your film knowledge. Awesome reaction ❤
OMG wow.... I had to pause your analysis to watch Ren's video where he explains everything. Him doing that, and making this song, will surely help a lot of people who have been mistreated in similar situations. I'm so glad Ren found a way to let it out without doing physical harm to people. Let's all support him, and thank you Manon for sharing your own experience. It's really imporrant that word gets out about this kind of ill behaviour in the entertainment industry.
Oh yes! It is so so so so prevalent, sadly, but I really think with people like Ren and other people speaking out about these behaviors (#metoo is also a good example) that we will get to a place where abuse and selfishness have no place. Thanks as always Yvonne!
I love that Ren and Sam ( director ) make such epic visuals in such simple ways . There is never anything unnecessary in Sams visuals . You just get exactly what you need .
One of my favorite parts of your reaction was that even as a filmmaker, you were also able to FULLY consume and embrace this as a viewer. I dabble in composing, so I understand how difficult it can be at times to remain objective. 🎉 I really appreciated that. Cheers!
This is a whole movie compressed into just a few minutes. The quality of the script, the storyline, the whole conception is unbeliavable. And it's "based on a true story" and word by word Ren's own narrative. It's SO powerful. The "Bulgarian choire" dying as he says that he made the song legally, the pig mask (symbolising greed (see other Ren videos)) and the quick switch when Ren is suddenly tied up in the chair symbolising the takedown of the "Sick Boi" video. It's just so much information in one short clip. And I must admit that I broke out laughing in the end when he says "This is only part 1, it's worse in part 2", meaning that there's a SEQUEL to this masterpiece. And all in all it's "just" a diss track, meaning that Kujo is supposed to answer and defend with his own song/video. Somehow I don't think Kujo is ever going to top this or even dare to try. It's 10/10 for our sick boi Ren, and I hope it won't take long before we see him again... I'm not a big fan of rap music or anything like that, but the story behind this got me interested, and Ren's own story and struggle made it even more interesting. So I checked out "Sick Boi" and "Hi Ren", and wow what a talent this young man is, both lyrically, musically and visually. He makes poetry out of pain - and what sweet poetry it is.
The "shutter stutter" effect when the choire "dies" reminds me of a movie called "Jacob's Ladder". If you haven't seen it then you've lost out on some decent psychological horror. (And if you know the "Silent Hill" games, they took inspiration from that movie.)
A large part of why the world is the way it is is because kindness (the genuine kind not the manipulative version) more often than not ends up being taken for granted and taken advantage of instead of truly valued!
I enjoy your presentations. :) So, I don't read many comments, perhaps others have said this. It looks like the same location as Money Game 1, which, btw, you should review all three (Money Game 1, 2, 3). MG1 took something like 180 takes to get, and MG3 was his first (I believe) "expensive" production. Thanks!
Thank you for covering this, and I'm sorry that you've also had bad experiences. I think Hi Ren, Sick Boi, and this come together to make a powerful trilogy. I'd be interested in your thoughts on Sick Boi - the earlier version is back up, it's a relatively music video, and will be interesting to compare to the newer version he's planning.
17:24 yeah all who are in any kind of relationship with Kujo, even if they would offer consolation in the midst of what he is doing, seems to be taken in the collateral damage Kujo has invited upon himself
Hi Manon. I complimented you on your reaction to the Tales of Jenny and Screech. This reaction surpasses that. Thank you. It triggered memories for me of similar situations in my life that helped me to commit even more to kindness is the answer. It takes courage to decide to be that person. I would be pleased if Ren and Samuel reach out to you. It could be creative and illuminating.
Thank you so much! I would LOVE to talk with them both about their video production and ask them about all that goes into it. That would be a conversation to die for!
Samuel and Ren answered some cinematography questions during his interview on the Black Pegasus channel. And @SamuelPerryFalvey did a longer interview with fellow videographer Joe E. Sparks (@joeesparks7) -- so he might well come talk with you if he can arrange the time! Worth reaching out to him, at least, while you work on absorbing more of their catalog. Ren and Sam's first video together, by the way, was "Children of the Moon", filmed in 2015 (but not released on UA-cam till a few years later). And as an FYI, Ren has also worked with Luke Flegg and Josh Stiles as directors/DPs - it's not ALL Samuel, just a lot of it. 😀
While he says this isn't Hi Ren number 2 it actually reminds me of the Hi Ren video in terms of feeling like a theatre piece. I can actually see it as part of a show at the Fringe or something like that.
As a person who has been targeted by bullies, backstabbers and gaslighters all of my life (instigated by close family) I resonate with what you said and have subbed as a fellow Renegade.
I know you'll definitely have the Money Game series on your radar, but if you like creepy I recommend both Crutch and Children of the Moon. Not single takes but really creative videos and much earlier in his journey.

Awesome !!!! Look at the credits too !
This is for everyone who puts their creative selves out there. For the people who have been wronged. A catharsis. If it's stopped Ren going into a major mental health episode then I see this as a more healthy outlet. I also love how it's shot. The strings sounding right out from Psycho
Sick boi is back up if only temporarily! You should react to that next. Love the reacts!!!
Eek, I hope it stays up but who knows! You're right.
Thanks for adding this!
I've seen ren say that the pig represents his illness- an unsettling but familiar constant companion.
Great reaction🔥It truly is a piece art art I agree!!💯 Thanks for supporting Ren🖤❤🖤
I think the colour also represents UA-cam as that was a big part of this 🖤
🏴
I love that interpretation!
@@manondereeper on his white top you can also see what looks like a ▶️ sign which represents UA-cam also (see it best at the part he say's F it) 🩷
Seen Ren in July, he's such a sweetheart 🤍
🏴
I love your commentary and the lens that you view art in. 😊
Remember in Hi Ren he said "I have a lot of names, some people call me Hope" and "I'm the voice you hear when the knot loosen," but now after saying "this is not Hi Ren #2" , he says "Now this hope is the rope that will smudge the pale AB ** CH ... ... it really gives me the same vibration as Eminem's" kim "on MMLP, just as Eminem Ren was completely pushed to a corner where It can no longer be pushed back, so now it's time to be the person who pushes back and lets people know that "you can see me in Hi Ren and Sickboi as the person who sees the good side of people, but This does not mean that I can be made of a fool "... Keep annoying Ren. We are all here for that. I'm sure he said, "When you move my job, you may well bleed me." Don't "be me". I hope you wake up sweating from your nightmare (see me) I'm the sick boy you enslaved (release me) when you move my work, you can well bleed me. Absolutely stunning. Ren is beyond genius.👑
"I'm the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope"
Ren original sick boi is back up he had a meeting with the owner of youtube. If you go to the community page on his youtube, he explains why it's back up
Great reaction to a stunning piece of theatre. Ren is exceptional. 🥰
This is definitely going to be fun with Ren in beast mode 😂
I enjoy your videos so much. Thank you for reacting to Ren, and hopefully, you will pick more of his art to feature. 😊❤
Thank you! We certainly will in the future :) Too much fun!
Thanks for supporting Ren. Great reaction.
Loving the Ren content. Can’t wait for you to react to the Money Game trilogy and Animal flow. He has also hinted that he has a new Project in a similar vein to Jenny and Screech in the works but with the production quality he now has access to it feels like it will be even more epic.
My goodness, I don't know how he does it- I have a hard time keeping up!
I'm only at the start but you reminded me of that saying. 'Those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter' Kia kaha 😊
Kia ora! Ohhh, yes! Too true! Thank you!
@@manondereeper you seem super amazing. Don't let anyone dim that fire for any reason. They don't matter. They aren't worth a moment in your head
Chat died on me several minutes ago, but I'm still watching.
Yes, same happened to the rest of us :( Feel free to join us on Discord, we are still chattign! discord.gg/gp32NQSbZv
love the reaction once again! think its time for money game all 3 parts, i think it fits with your channel, eitherway hugs all around
Glad to see your reaction in support of Ren. Hope your similar situation was resolved.
I've been getting suggestions for reactors new to me. I'm so glad I found your channel. I love your intelligence and the way you dissect the scenes - I really enjoy this! 🖤 (I love your hair)
You're too kind! Welcome on board!
I'm so glad to see this from your unique perspective. Makes so much more sense to me now. Thanks Mannon.
I believe Ren has been through too much to change his beliefs in hope and goodwill for human beings because of this situation
Especially after the direction of events recently
He met with the You Tube head of music globally who was discussing what could make yt better for artists and reactors with him for a while
Sick boi is back up and Ren is still planning to make a version without kujos beat
He said in the Twitch stream after this was released he hopes Kujo can find it in himself to apologise and make steps in a good direction forward (my memory of what he said)
Regardless he has all that he needs legally to sew this up now!
Not the first time since I started following Ren that he has seen a difficult situation flipped to his best outcome
It's truly, truly admirable.
Amazing reaction, Manon.
Deep reflection and you saw all the important details of this art piece. Thanks!
Thank you!
I really loved watching your take on this and what it meant to you. Especially coming from the point of view that you have been through a similar situation. I thought you were very insightful with your film knowledge. Awesome reaction ❤
Fantastic reaction, really interesting to hear your expert view on the video, too. Thank you!
So he says the part about little Jimmy and the Jar. That is from money game pt. 3 as a film maker it's a must.
Slowly but surely working my way through his filmography :D
BTS of the video on Patron is worth a watch. ❤
Great reaction, love it, Ren is really astounding!! New sub!!
I love that Ren and Sam ( director ) make such epic visuals in such simple ways . There is never anything unnecessary in Sams visuals . You just get exactly what you need .
Can't wait! 🥰
I really enjoyed your reaction, particularly your explanation of some of the filmmaking choices/techniques. Just subbed to see more from you.
One of my favorite parts of your reaction was that even as a filmmaker, you were also able to FULLY consume and embrace this as a viewer. I dabble in composing, so I understand how difficult it can be at times to remain objective. 🎉 I really appreciated that. Cheers!
Thank you, that means a lot!! Striking the right balance is hard - so much for me to see and take in and still somehow appreciating the whole as well!
I so absolutely love your reactions 🖤
Thanking 🙏 you and your beautiful soul ❤❤🇬🇧🇺🇸👏👏👏
Great reaction, interesting perspective!
Thank you very much!
Great reaction video..... The chior in judgement, I like that ....... Thanks
Thank you for your sincere reaction, sister!!!🫶🫶🫶🥰🥰🥰💖💖💖🌹🌈🔮☮️🫂
I couldn’t find money game 1-3. Incredible videos. Make sure to use the lyric video for part 2.
Absolutely stunning rection and breakdown..Thanks!
Great reaction! If you love this, you'll love his music video of Illest Of Our Time. I recommend this highly!
At 15:03 You can see Ren in the chair and Kujo on the floor (they switched) for split second - play in slow motion
Really enjoyed your insights , glad you liked it as well.
Thanks!
Ren said Kujo Beat Down was in a borrowed, low-ceilinged basement. MG1 was filmed in a utility area under the base of the Brighton Pier. 🙂
New sub here. A fan of Ren of course.... really liked your perspective on this. 💜 UK
I’ve been hoping for a reaction from you!
17:24 yeah all who are in any kind of relationship with Kujo, even if they would offer consolation in the midst of what he is doing, seems to be taken in the collateral damage Kujo has invited upon himself
Ren handled this, all in his head. So much depth to the whole production.
pure gold
Great reaction ❤👏👏
Great reaction, thanks 🖤
Great commentary. I think the dead chior represents the loss to everyone of the original choir music that was part of the beat Ren purchased.
There are some shorts up of the filming for what was going on in places
I like your reference to judgement day ❤ I was thinking it seemed like a Greek tragedy ❤
The stepping stones! I didn’t notice the stepping stones!
The guy playing Kujo is the bass player for Back on 74
If you're interested Ren shows behind the scenes on his second channel I think it's renmakesstuff
While he says this isn't Hi Ren number 2 it actually reminds me of the Hi Ren video in terms of feeling like a theatre piece. I can actually see it as part of a show at the Fringe or something like that.
Can't WAIT until you do Money Game... particularly #3. Cinematic masterpiece! 🤌
Much love ❤
As a person who has been targeted by bullies, backstabbers and gaslighters all of my life (instigated by close family) I resonate with what you said and have subbed as a fellow Renegade.
Hug!
I know you'll definitely have the Money Game series on your radar, but if you like creepy I recommend both Crutch and Children of the Moon. Not single takes but really creative videos and much earlier in his journey.
Thank you!! So glad you enjoyed the videos and thanks for commenting!
Only ren can make a diss track into a cinematic video😂 diss theatre 💜
Hi, A renegade here with a new sub. Great open reaction ❤ from D in the UK 🇬🇧
