    You've been overtaken -- it's no longer their latest release: that is now "Duel", the title track of the new album. It has an animation video -- same animator as "Kafka" (that was a lyric video), which you haven't reacted to either...

    A Russian idiom has the green serpent representing alcohol (maybe vodka specifically), and being bitten by the green serpent representing alcoholism. Tatiana has been sober for about 2 years, so this song is about her personal struggle. I noticed the oval shaped area of "grapes" surrounding Tati as well, and assumed that that area is filled with "real" grapes (presumably artificial ones), and the rest are CGI. I never noticed that the official video was uploaded in 1080 p as I'm more interested in the music than the video. Perhaps you're right that they weren't satisfied with the look of the "bed of grapes" in high resolution. This is a *great,* *beautiful* song, an instant Jinjer classic, IMO.

    • @manondereeper
      @manondereeper 3 дні тому

      That is such a great connection, I had no idea about this metaphor. Grapes in themselves are also symbolic for alcohol (although more often red grapes but hey, it still works with the theme). Thanks for pointing this out!

    The title says wierszalin I & II, but you reviewed IV. You should watch I & II :) It is about Eliasz Klimowicz, who was a self-proclaimed prophet, and who believed he was a reincarnation of the biblical prophet Elijah. He built a church, and began to build a city called "Wierszalin", which would be the new Jerusalem, and the capital of the world. This was in Podlasie region of Poland in the 1930's. He cultivated a religious sect and some his followers believed he was a reincarnation of Christ. His cause of death is unknown, but the Bolshevik's came after him and the people of Wierszalin, and it is rumored that he may have died during his captivity. Some folk tales make suggestions that "he became an unclean spirit" and "he became Satan". The videos depict his visions in which god told him the end of the world was coming and that he needed to build a church. Also the visions of his impending judgement where he would have to face God and repent for his blasphemy.

    Salut Manon, je vais te donner les paroles et surtout le contexte. C'est un peu long mais vraiment très instructif pour comprendre le clip. Petit contexte avant le " kai " est une langue codée faite d'incantations. Hi Manon, I’ll give you the lyrics and especially the context. It’s a bit long but really very informative to understand the clip. Small context before the " kai " is a coded language made of incantations. Athilr Rikithir Ai Eril idi Uha Ijalh Fahd Tiade Elifi An It Athilr Rikithir Ai Landawariar Año Ana Fahd Tiade Elifi An It Aelwao Ano Ana Tuwa Tuwa Tau Liu Ano Ana Tuwa Tuwa [Kaï] UL FOS LAU LAL GWUL PED UL ULD AUL LEI ELw ATH RET LAE TyS Autre REI GUI AU AU LA OA SEJS ZUL AU AL HaR HaS Ka TIL AZ Ha IR EL UNOZ LEIT Una DZ GUI UI THUL UHNG Ur OI WHUG DIT La La LIH LaL Ur USK GLa Jue LAL La La La TLG Jue TiL Ur Ur Ur Gel THuL So Oth LAU IA TyL LI RAI WUI IL DAI TU Han UTH A IUr EL AL Dan An ERUI AL EIZ Un RA TIU Un KU AK La langue est du proto-nordique. La langue que parlaient les personnes vivant en Scandinavie pendant la période de migration. Ère pré-viking. Les seuls mots de l'écriture d'Anoana connus avec certitude sont Landawariar (Protecteur de la terre). Context. Les paroles de cette pièce sont principalement tirées de bractéates : des pièces d'or circulaires ou des amulettes trouvées en Europe du Nord et datant du 4e au 7e siècle de notre ère. Ils sont souvent équipés d'un bord et d'une boucle décorés, ce qui indique qu'ils étaient destinés à être portés et peut-être à fournir une protection, à réaliser des souhaits ou à des fins de divination. Les bractéates présentent une iconographie très significative influencée par la monnaie romaine. Ils étaient principalement fabriqués à partir d'or romain, qui était donné aux peuples de l'Allemagne du Nord comme argent de la paix. Dans Anoana, l'auditeur a la chance de se plonger dans une collection de sorts probablement codés de la période de migration et d'acquérir une touche de magie de l'âge des ténèbres. L’intention de la pièce est de renouer de manière ludique avec un langage incantatoire d’une époque où le Nord était plus riche en or que toute autre région. Nos ancêtres ont probablement connu une époque de grande prospérité et cela pourrait nous amener à repenser à quel point ces âges sont sombres et réels. Au-dessus du signe sur le ventre de la mère qui accouche se trouve probablement une version peinte de Ægirs Hjelm/Aegishjalmur/Ægishjálmr (« Le casque d'Ægir »), qui est un symbole décrit dans l'Edda poétique comme un symbole de protection ultime, physique, mentale et spirituel appelé protection contre toutes sortes de peurs "Ægir/Ægi" signifie "Mer" dans les deux dialectes du vieux norrois et est aussi le nom de la personnification du mer. "Ægir's Gate", décrit les tourbillons qui entraînent les navires au fond de la mer. Ægir / Ægi a souvent été décrit comme un vieil homme avec une longue barbe blanche, et le voir immobile dans l'eau était de mauvais augure, car il faisait surface pour traîner les gens et les navires au fond de l'océan. Ægirs Hjelm est décrit dans l'Edda poétique dans une strophe avec un dragon métamorphe, Fafner, dont le sang est venimeux. Le dragon garde un trésor et, grâce au sort d'Ægirs Hjelm, est invincible. Dans Le Galdrabók, le symbole est également décrit comme quelque chose « que vous portez sur votre front, entre vos sourcils »). Dans tous les cas, il faut prendre cela avec des pincettes car cela peut être erroné. Concernant l’éclipse solaire, ces images seraient peut-être liées au symbole du soleil noir. Pour les anciens, le soleil était la source de la vie, car il leur fournissait chaleur et énergie. Son absence était tout le contraire. Pour les peuples anciens, il semble que la périodicité et la continuité du jour et de la nuit faisaient penser non seulement à l'existence d'un soleil, mais de deux soleils, l'un brillant et lumineux et l'autre noir. L'un représentait la vie et l'autre la mort. Cela pourrait se traduire par l’équilibre entre la lumière et l’obscurité et sa connexion avec le monde des morts et des vivants. Dans ce document, l'aube du jour était interprétée comme la renaissance de la vie et son renouveau. C'est pourquoi les éclipses étaient si importantes pour toutes les cultures primitives et anciennes : lorsque le soleil disparaissait en plein jour, ils prédisaient que les éclipses entraîneraient de grands changements, ou que même dans le pire des cas, la fin du monde pourrait se produire.

    15:39 In fact, this clip shows a part of the history of Mongolia. The Manchu Qing Dynasty of China began to try to conquer the Mongols in 1636. At that time, the powerful empire of Genghis Khan collapsed and the Mongols were divided into Khalkh(Eastern)Chahar(Southern), and Oirat(Western).Later, the Qing started a war to conquer Dzungar Khanate(Oirat). This clip shows the war between the Galdan Boshigty Khan of Oirat Dzungar(West Mongols) and the Manchu Qing Dynasty(200 years of War) And those warriors who wear red costumes are Manchus,the rivals of Mongols.

    8:46 The Mongolians hand down their snuffboxes from generation to generation and value it as family heritage. The rich compete with each other in the style and design of their snuffboxes. So the style and size of the snuffboxes can be enormously variable. The snuffbox is made with precious stones such as chalcedony, mane, jasper, agate, turquoise, stone crystal topaz or ebony and also with porcelain and precious wood and express the status of their own owner.

    9:37 I can speak to this as one of the extras from the club scene! - the doors were real and controlled by the very high tech solution of ropes 😄 their commitment to practical effects where possible is one of my favourite things about them. I love your breakdowns, especially how you can spot the lights and talk about what they’re doing. Since no one has mentioned it yet, the song is based on a real person, according to Tank The Tech, Roady, UA-camr and tour manager of Electric Callboy. The House of Blues concert hall in Chicago is a multi-story building, the trucks are unloaded in the underground car park and the equipment is then transported to the concert area via an elevator. This elevator is also the fastest way to all the other rooms such as dressing rooms, which are spread over several floors. The elevator is operated by a guy who, according to the Cowboys, has an absolutely cool vibe. And since they were constantly taking the elevator on the day of the concert, the idea of dedicating him a song came about....

    Carina Pusch, which I do not know well, but she was in other EC-videos, was the mermaid and talked in her reaction a little bit about the set. The elevator was build and a lot of green screen was used. I think Kevins face expressions and dance moves in the club scene are pure comedy gold. At one point I had the impression that Nico weared one of this silly glasses with a nose on it. But I found no clear confirmation in the video. Could be only a lightening effect.

    Ok, instant +1 sub/like. I've heard many reactors break down everything about their songs, from the production, to Kevin's screaming technique, to what key it's in... but you're the first I've seen that does visual breakdown/analysis of the video. I really respect that. I hit up your Patreon, too, because I'm interested in your story. My favourite author is Jason Pargin, whose "John Dies at the End" series is my favourite media. If you don't know it, it's cosmic horror / comedy, heavy on the "WTAF" 8^)

      Welcome to video village! Thanks for the kind words!! I did quite a few more of their songs too, in case you're interested! Hopefully more in the future. I'm having way too much fun with their videos. I absolutely LOVE cosmic horror (am actually working on a script in that genre) and cannot believe I neverh eard of John Dies At The End before. Thank you!!

    Even the first Scene in the yard I am sure its greenscreen :) But if you do not notice, then they did a good job ^^ Fun Facts: Pascal, one of their guitarists, opened couple years ago together with his brother a video producing company named "Schillobros". So there are always the same people involved. While his brother Oliver is directing the videos, Pascal is responsible for the cutting. Everything is D.I.Y. The other guitarist Daniel for example, is responisble for the recording and mixing of the music. They create the ideas for the videos during the songwriting process. Even the ideas for the stage appearence. While writing their songs, they take a lot of care that the songs are working live by writing parts where the audiance is always included. They do everything, that the people who come to their concerts are going to have a blast of a time, having a party with good and positive vibes so that they can forget their daily problems and have a good time and probbaly want to visit becaus of that an other concert. Couple years a go after Hypa Hypa they moved their studio and rehearsal room to another place. The place is so big, that they have a huge hall to storage their touring equiment (Huge LED Wall etc) but also a hall for the video production. So in their "base" they got a music studio, video studio and shooting rooms, rehearsal room and storage hall. They collected a group very nice people who are involved in everything. Partly the stuff of the Schillobros are also responsible for their Live Videos. And everyone grew his abilities together while the band grew during the last 15 years. They are like a family. They try to shoot as much as possible in their own Video Studio to save as much money as possible. Before their new place they had to rent a studio for couple of days and in germany, thats can be quite expensive. The club scene in the video they shooted in a old abonded industrial hall in the City of "Essen". Quite close to the place they are living (30 min away?). They had to dismantle the Eleveator and build it up again at this place. And yes you are right, they used a iPad for the elevator Display. Regarding that, the funny thing is, that the lighting button is normaly the Level for the electronic controlroom for example in hospitals. In the Video its just an underground club ^^. They rocket button next to it got pressed when all three started to go crazy in the elevator. The lights at the walls start to blink like on a party and they shoot out of the roof like a "rocket" to the space. They baby is the metal baby with the ratatata helmet. So its "Baby" Metal. The Idea for the mermaid in the elevator, just came in their minds after the first shooting day. They asked Carina Pusch, a professional make up artist and influencer, if she could play the mermaid because they remembered that she had Foto shoot as a mermaid. The costume, she did by herself. She also appeared already two times in other electric callboy music videos. For example she was the Alien with the "Three" tits. If you look for her name, you will find her on youtube, insta etc. The elevator operator was played by Uke Bosse. He is a funny cult guy who appears randomly in different occasions. He is a Professor for Game Design at a University in berlin. But he is also a actor and appears for example in a commercial with Sebastian Vettel (Formula One Driver).

      More: The idea of the Elevator Operator is based on a true story. When they played in the House of Blues (HOM) in Chicago, the bed rooms were on the 7th floor. According to Tank The Tech there existed only one Elevator and they call it the house of stairs. So if you did not want to get exhausted by climbing the 7 floors by stairs, you always had to wait for the elevator which was controlled by the a guy named "Moss". He was such a chill dude and always played different music, Hip Hop, Party Music etc. So based on this funny experience, he wrote this song. Often they were just standing and waiting for the elevator and Nico got often impatient and said: I just want to get down. Funny: In the club scene where all memmbers of the band got lighting from the floor, Nico is nearly not to see next to Kevin, because he is so short. ^^ And the club scene in general reminds me more of the movie "Blade". THere was also a underground club scene. But if thats her influence for the scene, I really dont know.
