      Hi estyd1, you will find crochet is a lot easier, and more forgiving than knitting, the trick is to practice, practice, practice to get your muscle memory set into a tension value. Just do a bit whenever you can, but also please take breaks. Enjoy your journey, and if you need any help I have lots of video tutorials, and even a Facebook group, if you're interested, there you can ask any question, and one of us will answer you.
      Thank you and welcome, Anja x

    I have been given yarn and bought yarn from people where there is not enough to make anything big. Some are just balls. I love using things people dont want. It makes me feel like I'm saving the landfills! I am making a rainbow afgan that goes from a dark rainbow, then a bit lighter, a bright one, then lighter, then pastels. I have 3 more rainbows to go. Then I want to choose colors for this one!!!

    Hi Anja, Just wondering what size will this blanket be at the end, single or double? Does it make a difference when doing the starting chain /first round for length and width. X K

    • @OpheliaTalks
      @OpheliaTalks  2 роки тому

      Hello, sorry for the break in answering, I must have missed your comment.
      Obviously the shape of the first round will dictate the shape of your overall blanket, if you want it square then you have an equal middle, ie: 4 clusters, if you want it much longer you'd just make the chain longer and do more clusters on the long sides, then as you crochet, so the blanket will grow, Anja x

    What is the multiples for the beginning chain if wanted to make this longer? Does it need to be an even or odd number?

      Yes I watched it and you had done 21 for this length size 🥴 does that mean I need to do odd numbers? Since 21 is an odd number! Sometimes the chain multiple is different than what is done for different sizes.. so yes that is why I’m asking to make sure. 🤪😵‍💫

    Hello! I’m trying this lovely pattern using a color changing yarn, so no changing yarns, just a continuous granny stripe. On my first attempt it looked rather lopsided because the move from one round to the next, so I’m trying this again.
    I’m fairly new to crochet so I’m just guessing:
    Would I slipstitch to finish that round and then 2 ch to jump up to the next round? Then would I count that 2 chain as a double crochet and add 2 more double crochets for the first cluster in the next round? 🤷‍♀️ Any advise would be really appreciated.
    Thank you so much for sharing your work and your knowledge.
