I love how you don't just show how to make stitches but explain about measurements and what to do, etc. Great videos!
I think what I like best about this, is the no counting of the starting chain! Sometimes that's the most agravating part! Definitely an "easy" blanket!! Thanks Anja!
I like to go across my chain with a single crochet, then do my Grannys. When I am done I do one row of sc too. It seems a little more stable and easier to me and a good base to add a border.
I tried this and my work started curving, not sure what I'm doing wrong, can anyone tell me please 😁,
Anya: The doll/cat bed has to be your best investment! What a unique way to showcase smaller samples of your blankets!
It really is. I don't have any space left to store all blankets and when they are this size it is easier and clearer to record as well. It's a win win.
Thank you for watching Sandra Abshire ! Anja xxx 💕🌈
I was so happy to see you teach crochet and hold the hook the way I was taught 62 years ago when I was a preteen. I turn the piece the same way, too, but I just learned a new and perfect way to keep the sides straight today. Thank you, Anja.
Oh Anja, how adorable is Layla’s new blanket on her little bed, then you showed the pillow and my heart skipped a beat. Thank you. 🧶💖
I’m new to crochet... and have been looking for exactly this!!! I’m a lefty but have learned.... finally to switch it over in my head!! Thank you for your easy intructions!! Love your voice as well!!😊🌼🌸
You are so welcome! You can do it! Thank you for watching Joy Joy Joyfolie ! Anja xxx 💕🌈
This blanket is SUPER CUTE !
I save all my scraps even if not long enough to crochet a whole row then join all into ball and use to learn new pattern in either a blanket or scarf this is a great tutorial thank you
Love your blanket, I can't wait to do this pattern, u r very talented
This is the best explanation I have ever seen, and also, the blanket is beautiful, and as such, inspires me to learn how to make it.
So cute!!! It would be perfect as a gift for a doll bed! 😍
I
Love watching you crochet your chains. Your style of the yarn on your finger
It tells me you have been doing this awhile😉😉
What a sweet blanket! Thank you so very much for demonstrating how you handle the tails! Looping around the stitches hides them so securely. Starting this project today, right after I finish the second shawlette. ❤️
Your scrap blankets always look so pretty. This size is delightful and adorns the bed perfectly.
I am going to share this on my facebook page. A lot of us have "scrap yarn". Thank you for sharing this.,
Beginning and end of rows makes a lovely smooth edge. Thank you!
The baby doll bed is inspired!!! Thanks again for an easy to follow tutorial!!!
Thank you again!! Your video’s are so good for crocheters like me who like to see how it’s done - very much appreciated - just started my stash buster blanket 🎉
Anya you made it so beautiful and so easy. I agree that measuring is very important as counting your stitches. Thank you for your time thank you for your love for crochet. God bless stay safe and take care 🙏❤️😊
This is just the blanket pattern I've been looking for!!
Exactly what I need to help clear out my scraps and stash. Another good tutorial 😎
I’m already making this from one of your previous scrap blanket videos. I am doing two strands together. Can’t wait to see the border. It’s so lovely. Thank you.
Watch out for the next video! Thank you for watching Jacqueline Hooper ! Anja xxx 💕🌈
Beautiful colors..i love granny clusters..so pretty..thank you 😊
Thank you so much I have tons of scraps in my stash. This looks lovely and I never know what to do with my scraps, so my stash keeps growing. I can't bear to just throw it out. Take care everyone and stay safe 😘😊🤗
Your teaching is so precise! Thanks for the care you take in giving instructions & in explanation. ♥️
Hi Anja. I did as you suggested, to watch another video, and I think after watching this video, that I will be able to make my scrap blanket look good. Random is difficult for me and giving everything too much thought takes the fun out of the project. So, I am going to give it a try. Love, Audrey. ❤️🇨🇦🧶
Oh that's great Audrey, you can do it, I know you can, just relax and enjoy it, Anja x
Thank you for sharing! I will be getting my yarn really to make this project.
Absolutely beautiful! I am definitely going to add this to my project list. Thank you for another wonderful idea! 🌞🌻

Thank you so much 😊 Thank you for watching syed zaighum Abbas naqvi ! Anja xxx 💕🌈
Love the scrap blanket. It is adorable. Can't wait to see how you make the little pillow. The colors are so pretty.
I'm actually making one right now, this stitch rocks. Mine is actual scraps of varying lengths but I love it.
Twisted fringe is easy and fun (durable too)
and looks beautiful with two colors per row.
Thanks for another winner.
Bless you.
I have arthritis and I’ve been put off crochet because of the way most people hold the wool - if I held my finger up all the time it would get stuck! So I’m excited to see that you old the wool in a way more like knitting - I’m going to have a go at this and follow the way you hold your wool - maybe at last I will be able to crochet ! 😀
Oh l hope I have been of some help to you Rebecca, please keep me posted on your journey, Anja x
So sweet of you ...I like your deep explanation...thank u so much
Beautiful blanket and soooo easy peasy thank u for this wonderful tutorial! 😘
This is just wonderful and so pretty ... I am quite new to crochet work so I will try this soon. Thank you so much. Best regards from South Africa 🇿🇦💫
Welcome to the channel, keep crocheting and thank you for watching Georgie Walker ! Anja xxx 💕🌈
Thank you ❤
Love this can’t wait to make it. Thank you for such a clean video.
Such a small hook to use for that yarn, I use an I hook 4 ply yarn. I like how you do the starting dc instead of chaining 3, looks much nicer!
Thank you so much for this pattern. I love it 😎😀
WOW, sitting here working your granny square blanket from your former videos, and then you popped up here! Cool!
@@OpheliaTalks Thank You, All the best, having so much fun with your videos! Super!
Angela wright HI Ophelia that is a beautiful little blanket and I like the colors you used 🙄😾❤
"YES"! I Believe!!!!!
Just beautiful 😊
I love it. I'm left handed. But I think I can figure it out for my left hand. Usually watching a right handed looks confusing to me.
So pretty! 😻
I've gotta try making one for my "fur person". Then it's off to ikea!
A perfect scrapbusting project plus tips galore.😱 BTW: your nails look so pretty 🌸
Layla is very fortunate!
thank you for the. video
Love IT. Thank you❤️
Enjoyed your video
Isn't this called the Granny Square ⬜ stitch? I would tie and cut the ends and make a border instead. Thank you, I can't wait to try it!
Very pretty , love it
It’s beautiful!!
I love my 3.75mm hook! I can never go back 😂💕
I’m also doing a scrap blanket, but started into a granny square and just continue on until I find the square big enough.
Thank you so much for this video. I've made Granny Squares, Granny Stripe, Granny Blankets, but I've never done one that's a different color each row. I'm not summertime who can be all willy nilly and just go with whatever color I happen to grab, but I'm trying to get past that insanity. I made a retro Granny Square blanket for my sister for Christmas and I tried really hard to be more free with the colors, but I couldn't do it. I'm determined to do it with my new Granny Stripe. My pet peeve has been that almost floppy side you get when you do a chain rather that a foundation chain (which I finally forced myself to learn, I don't like them, but it does make for a much nicer edge when I do it). It should've been simple to figure out that I needed 2 on top instead of one. I'm sure I learned that way and got lazy. But then I watch this video and you fixed my problem. I was watching another of your videos where you said someone said something rude about your channel being like primary school or something to that effect....that's wrong. Your way of song things is a little different, it makes me pay more attention and obviously it taught me something, so ha ha on the rude people. Hugs from Tennessee.
You're amazing!! Thank you so much for your support and keep crocheting ❤❤
Thank you. you showed what to do with the ends, but I have always a tiny little end at the end after sowing the ends and I was wondering where you cut the end at the end , ( funny, but you know what I mean )
Nice
It is marvellous, but instead of seam can you suggest a border pls Sara tks
Here’s the border! ua-cam.com/video/hhHAmXZFjeI/v-deo.htmlsi=HsRQvBwLNllA8dE9 thanks for watching, Anja x
Or add extra yarn to make a tassel on each side no sewing in ends
Very nice 👍👍👍💐💐💐💐
What a lovely tutorial. I'm sorry if I missed it but what did you do with the two 'spare' chains please?
She undid them - do not cut them off now they are the beginning yarn !!
She talked about it at the end of her first row before she changed colors !!
Thank you for this blanket you said the with was 43cm but I can not find out what the length of the blanket is please help
Bravissima complimenti ❤che scrivi in italiano
You had another one witch it was one row repeat , started with chain and 1 DC(2 DC) and ended with 1 DC, can you tell me what is the difference?
What do you do it you pick a scrap that is not long enough? Do you frog it or just join a different yarn?
Lovely pattern! Are you crocheting using UK or US stitches? I know there’s some differences. I’m looking forward to using up some of my scrap yarn! Thank you!
Hello Gina, I always use US terms in my crochet. Thanks for watching, Anja x
lt nice Color blanket you can do it on the loom is faster
Beautiful little scrap blanket fit for Princess Layla. Hopefully we will see her laying on it at some point ( with her head on the cute little pillow ) 🐈🧶 strange to see you working with a gold hook not the usual raspberry hook. What did you think of the tension using a 3.75 Anja ?
How much yarn did you end up using in your final project
A layla blanket is your cat’s name?
does the yarnhave to be the same number
🙏🙏🙏
What weight is your yarn ? I'm using worsted weight 4
I mostly use DK/Light worsted/3, but sometimes I branch out a bit more, this was DK, Anja x
Please link the vids for the border and the cushions. Thank you
I'd also like a link to the video for the border, please. Can't wait to give this one a try! Making baby blankets for charity. xx
that a doll bed it look like
So beginning on the third row you begin AND end with a half cluster? I am kind of confused.
If you watch the video again Celia, it will all become clear, thank you, Anja x
👌👏👏👏😍
