I run the line through the eye and bring it up about 6 inches on the line still hanging from the pole. Then wrap the jig around and through the loop. Snip off the excess. I try to stock up while the supermarket has them on special lol. They was deff on special that day. Gunna try em again tomorrow and upload the results. Have a good one man. 👍 👍👊
You can absolutely do this from shore. My very bast days have been from shore. If the water stays low and the fish start to spawn there are less places for them to spread out. Use Google maps to find creeks and rivers that feed the lakes. If the water is flooded in the timber those same creeks and rivers will hold fish. I've been under bridges catching a limit on just the riprap rocks. They heat up and the crappie will hold tight on them. Also the pillars under bridges. Check coves with steep banks near camping areas if the water is high. A tree may only be a couple feet out in the water but the depth could be perfect. Really helps to research all the creeks and find a rd crossing it. Research the lake levels also. We are on flood reservoirs where I fish. One week it may be 6 ft higher than the previous. I'm always looking and marking places on my maps. Hope this helps. Best of luck to ya out there 👍 👊
You get similar results from fishing the Spillway at the dam. Bring several color jigs bc you never know what color they are hitting. There are also huge catfish in that spillway!
Very interesting technique ! I've watch many crappie fishing videos. But, have never seen such way fishing. Can you please educate me on the reason you need a spinner on your jig and why you dip so fast in a small area? Is this way only for prespawn ?
The spinner just adds a extra flare in those muddy waters. You don't have to have it but my confidence in it is 100%. If our water was clear I would not be using black and hot pink either. I use a translucent with black specks at my home lake which is fairly clear water. When they start to spawn if they can see it they will bite it. These were all male fish making beds. The reason I dip so fast is my cork makes a sound and disturbance on the water drawing more attention to my jig below. Hope this helps. Have a good one 👍 👍👊
