pulling jigs for giant Grenada lake crappie (long lining)

Yea, I ended up only pulling out of the back that day. I use a 3 oz egg weight above 2 - 1/4 oz jig heads when pushing out of the front. Those are on b and m power troller rods 18’ long.

That is the hawg brand net Chris. All rubber net on a collapsible handle. Loving it so far!

How fast do you pull the jigs? Also, I'm going to be down there in about 10 days. Would this be a good tactic then or would maybe crankbaits be better?

Kyle, I longline between 1.0 - 1.2 mph. It’s a great tactic all summer, with that said, I am pulling cranks and power trolling jigs now at 1.7 mph. I want to go as fast as the fish will allow, and cover water.

@@oldtownoutdoors3485 Do you pull cranks on Grenada? I was there a few weeks ago and I couldn't pull 300's because I couldn't find deep enough water for them (I guess I found some water deep enough, but not a lot of it). It was crazy hot. I trolled pulling and pushing 100's and 200's with a little luck but not much at all.

@@kylebrown2976 no one is having any luck on Grenada right now. I would seriously consider Enid or Sardis instead of Grenada until something changes there
