If you have the fast dash unlocked in the talent tree and find your character moves too slow when crouch walking under something (like a fallen wood beam or a tight cave hole), then you can speed up the crouch walk by doing the fast dash through the hole before you begin the crouch animation. I am pretty obsessed with glacius right now! My instant kill combo is Levioso, Descendo/Depulso, Glacius, Diffindo/Confringo, rinse and repeat. It works on most enemies and you don’t need a focus potion to do it. I am only about halfway through the story, so I don’t have spells like Bombarda, Flipendo, or Unforgivables yet, so this is the combo that works best for me. You’ll notice that you can substitute Diffindo for Confringo and Descendo for Depulso.
Last night I figured out that with the Beasts that need more time to catch, you can switch back and forth between the spells and the bag. Works like a charm! YOu can lift/freeze again before they detach from the bag and flee.
Yea that happened to me when I went for the secret chest under the bridge. Worse part after I lost the legendary chest item, there were other chest near the legendary one that I looted n had nice gear but I had to go back to a previous save to get the legendary chest loot which means I lost the gear from the other chests and the loot in the chest changes when u go back saves.
@@elite4149Wait so if you go back to previous save, can’t you go back to the other chests you looted as well? How often does the game auto save and can you change it? Like in Witcher 3 I changed it to auto save every 5 min which is minimum though in that game I try to save as often as possible lol… I can’t believe the loot changes. I’m so glad I read all of this as I just started the game.
I'm so confused that a lot of people didn't know that you can turn off aim acceleration for smooth movement. The first thing you do for every game is change the setting to your preference?
@@Gcool243 false, lots of people know this, it’s actually a very common thing in games to turn off the aim acceleration since it usually makes it faster than normal. When collecting beasts with your Nab Bag, I use the Disillusionment Charm on myself which allows me to sneak up on any beast and Nab them before they even know I'm there. This works on any beast. I also use Accio if the beast is just a little further away than the Nab bags range and also Levioso will cause them to float long enough for you to get up close. But, the Disillusionment Charm works really well.
Fun trick I found and use often is the stealth god mode lol if you combine the disillusioned spell and the invisible potion while your sneaking around, enemies will not see you whatsoever and its such fun to do!
@@1999worldjacob Yes I know bit only lasts a bit. With the spell they'll still see you but you can drink the potion before they do and dissappear again. This way you don't have to worry about the potion effect running out. I know it's not super cool like a huge secret or some OP item but I just felt like sharing it.
Hey man ! Thank you for the video !!! One thing about relative target off - you select your target with left (walk) stick then. And I find it much easier. As usually when you cast spells - you use your thumb for casting and then you can still select in the middle of the spell to change target and it makes combat so much easier. I've learnt a lot of good tips from u. Thank u
The biggest thing for me was flying on the broom. It absolutely stunk so I inverted the Y axis for flying and not it's like flying an aircraft. It's right stick forward to descend and pulling it back to climb. It's much more fun
@@zx169 It's in the broom settings I think. I can't remember the exact place as I haven't played for a year or so. Think it might be Reverse Broom Axis or something
If I was to guess with hard the reason that damage is different on the dugbog is some form of inherent damage resistance that get increased with difficulty whereas other enemies don't have that damage resistance to increase , I imagine the same is true with the executioner . Or it might also just be for those specific 2 enemies as the devs want you to exploit there weakness on hard rather than fight them like any other enemy .
It's likely that they all have different defenses and, weaknesses and, when you exploit said weaknesses that it bypasses damage resistance and, defense.
You can turn the enemy into an exploding barrel, levioso and arresto momentum to freeze it in the air, then use bombarda or confringo to explode the barrel.
nexus mods has this already i believe it's called alohomora. in reality some mods don't break games but offer better quality of life changes. i try my hardest to play the game first go round pure and then look to see what would be worth a second play through
If you go to your gear and hover over say your hat it gives you the option to push triangle and choose any hat you have collected in the past even if you have sold it and you still keep the stats from the hat you want to wear. You can do this with all of your clothes so you can wear whatever you want while keeping really good stats on your gear. So basically you do keep all your gear and can choose anything to wear while keeping your character stats and traits real high
Here's a tip I haven't seen elsewhere just yet... Finding the Daedalian key slapping a little annoying?, Cast Arresto Momentum on the cupboard before starting, it slows the key right down.
There is one side quest where you can own your own shop and sell the items there for 10% more of your money. But only limited to wearable items only. The quest is called "Minding Your Own Business". But mind you. The quest gets a bit scary for me. I'll just leave it at that.
At what level is it worth to start opening Legendary chests in the open world? I'm only opening Legendary chests in dungeons (which I assume I can't go back to) for now.
You can upgrade the equipment so I’d say hold out as long as you can until you start hitting a wall with combat. I’m doing the same thing though at level 20
@@Username2521hh You can get a high level even before unlocking talents (let alone room of requirement, vivarium and then loom) just from collecting pages in school and village. On the other hand you can always buy legendary items from shop for 500 g, not a lot of money if are breading your beasts (or just kidnap them for profit). Also unless you have already unlocked your preferred trait at lvl3 it is better to just stick to purple gear. You can upgrade it fully with less exotic beast parts (from phoenix and graphorn) that are locked behind later quests. So, either don't open chests and wait until you can fully upgrade them and add your trait at lvl3, or open them and use legendary gear as any other and later if you need better items, just buy them.
I like the button prompts because due to my autism i get overwhelmed easily wich leads to me forgetting wich button to press to block or dodge and the button prompt is really helpful because it directly tells me what button i need
I do wish that the auto solving of Alohomora puzzles and auto capturing beasts were just an accessibility option and not locked to the story mode. Like, what if I wanna use them on the hard difficulty? It's a pain to switch back and forth between difficulties every time I wanna use that 💀
The fact there’s a lockpicking mini-game behind a spell pre-req is ridiculous. What’s the point of even having alohamora if I just have to pick the lock anyway?
@@bn-tc2tk the spell is meant for u to lock pick not open the door instantly. U have to think, this is a wizard game, obviously they won’t have ordinary locks that u can break easily. Things like this keep u busy in the game, u make them any easier then u will run thru the game n it’ll get boring

I don't know if it's a bug or not but at least 3 times when I've gone to open a legendary chest and I've bin told my slots are full I just sold some gear pieces went back to the chest and was able to open and still get a legendary item so I've not bin blocked or completely locked out of opening a legendary chest
Been playing sense the 6th and just beat it after 9 days it was a great game my only complaints are a underwhelming villian and story and no post game content. None of my choices really mattered either only a couple and not in a big way only Sebastian I feel.
Why not just breed beasts to sell for cash. It takes 30 minutes and you can do other things while they breed. If you have all 4 vivariaums you can breed up to 16 at a time then go sell the babies. It's a puppy mill for beasts 😄
Aside from cosmetics, new game plus is pointless because half the game is taking classes and learning the new spells. I like to rock the classic house robes personally. Makes me feel like I'm playing the movie ha.
@Mysterious you kidding me? There are 34 spells learned in the game. Name one that isn't in a quest of some sort. Literally half the main story quests reward you with something as do a bunch of side quests.
What would you suggest for targeting enemies who are grouped up but you wanna target let say the one with a certain colored shield. Without camera relative targeting it is super hard to prioritize my targets when they are standing near each other.
That does get tricky. Can't you click the right stick to lock on and move from person to person after moving the stick? I never "lock on" like that but it might work if I remember.
Turning enemies into barrels then holding them over a cliff till they turn back is fun. For add evil use the downward spell. I was to slow to think of it unfortunately. Would be cool to see.

Thanks for the helpful information. I just bought this today, but I did it so late because I wanted to finish Forspoken before diving into this beautiful game. I knew once I got this, I wouldn't be playing Forspoken ever again. There are some things you have brought up that reminds me of Square-Enix's M(agic)RPG, and it just makes me understand why they delayed its release for 8 months.
I wish they gave you the option to skip, auto-solve on any difficulty setting. Better still give us separate difficulty options for combat and puzzles/ mini-games.
I've been doing the object moving and killing since day 1. The combat is actually close to Breath of the wild, when your using the magnet to move around and killing the enemies.
I'm not sure how many noticed but if you check certain animals you can capture, every now & then you can find a legendary one that is unique to all the others which currently doesn't have much of a benefit right now in game but will have meaning down the road map so don't lose them. You will see them with a + in their names.
I mean, I like your enthusiasm but I'm willing to bet that they just coded a few animals with a different colour just to make the hunt more stimulating and entice all the ppl addicted to pokemon shiny hunting, I wouldn't read it much more than that if I was you..
@@AizenJabberwock I mean I have a golden unicorn in my vivarium. If you check the unicorn information it states that foals supposedly have a golden shine to them. And yes even if it's just for visual purposes, I will hunt down and catch them all shiny. XD Currently have 2 female and male shiny mooncalfs, a shiny male jobberknol (it looks grey)
Have to wonder, is there a point to that money gather method? I've had plenty of money so far, bought all spellcrafts and such because there wasn't really anything to buy anymore, so isn't it just a waste of time and you should actually be playing the game instead?
I believe they fixed the legendary chest and max inventory issue in yesterday's patch. I had max inventory and still managed to retrieve item after making room. Glad they fixed it
Does anyone know, if i made a few manual save points before the end of the game and then completed the game and loaded one of the other save points would that mean i could play to the end, load up another save and change the ending, does that make any sense, or would all of the manual saves be resolved when i finish the game because it was that playthrough, trying to get different endings without replaying theough the whole game
You a troll or just a moron. Why would a save state change if it hasn't been overwritten? Simple answer is: Yes, you can save before then reload to see the other options. That's the point of manual saves, a save state that doesn't get automatically overwritten.
@@toshiroyamada2443 no i’m not a troll or a moron for asking a question? Thanks for the answer though, just confirming what i wanted to know, have a great day
If you use wingardium leviosa and click the button for depulso or descendo, the game will automatically apply the spell to the object being lifted I do this with explosive barrels to slam them into enemies at terminal velocity
Not sure if this helps, but drinking a focus potion and spamming damage based spells on spiders seems to break their ai programming. They turn their backs and become passive, letting you take them down without a fuss.

I am only about halfway through the story, so I don’t have spells like Bombarda, Flipendo, or Unforgivables yet, so this is the combo that works best for me.
You’ll notice that you can substitute Diffindo for Confringo and Descendo for Depulso.
That's interesting to know. My combo was Glacius-Diffindo-Confringo-Depulso
When I used focus potion Confringo was replaced by Bombarda
Last night I figured out that with the Beasts that need more time to catch, you can switch back and forth between the spells and the bag. Works like a charm! YOu can lift/freeze again before they detach from the bag and flee.
The legendary chest situation happened to me last night. It was weird so I just reloaded the save. Hope they fix at some point
its meant to be that way
@@fortnitetrashcan8308 Its meant to work in a way where having a full inventory destroys the loot? I highly doubt it.
Yeah i hope they fix that in a patch. It’s quite annoying.
You can also use accio to bring brids in if they fly away and then freeze them and slow them down to catch them all
I'm so confused that a lot of people didn't know that you can turn off aim acceleration for smooth movement. The first thing you do for every game is change the setting to your preference?
I’d say 98% of people have never heard of doing this before. I’m an avid gamer and didn’t know about this
@@Gcool243 false, lots of people know this, it’s actually a very common thing in games to turn off the aim acceleration since it usually makes it faster than normal. If u are an avid gamer then u would be the first avid gamer I’ve met in 10+ years of gaming that didn’t know about turning off aim acceleration😭
I've been confused by this too, turning that shit off was one of the first things I did. Same with motion blur
The invisible potion makes you completely invisible by itself. No need to pair with disillusionment
@@cyrilmonkewitz Yes! Lol one of my favorite things to do lol
Thank u
Thanks for sharing!
Another tip: you can summon the broom while you're falling :)
yeah, but you have to think fast to do that, and most of us cant think that fast.
Yes, you can also summon it in water.
@@lil_old_man202 with a little bit of practice, you can develop reflexes to do it :)

The biggest thing for me was flying on the broom. It absolutely stunk so I inverted the Y axis for flying and not it's like flying an aircraft. It's right stick forward to descend and pulling it back to climb. It's much more fun
How did you invert it? Wanted to do the same thing
@@zx169 It's in the broom settings I think. I can't remember the exact place as I haven't played for a year or so. Think it might be Reverse Broom Axis or something
Cool thanks. I'll have a look again as I didn't find it the first time round
I played so much Breath of the Wild, why did I never think to use wingardium like the magnet rune and slam barrels into enemies?
You can turn the enemy into an exploding barrel, levioso and arresto momentum to freeze it in the air, then use bombarda or confringo to explode the barrel.
I hope there will be a new game plus mode, where we can keep all our appearances for the clothes!
nexus mods has this already i believe it's called alohomora. in reality some mods don't break games but offer better quality of life changes. i try my hardest to play the game first go round pure and then look to see what would be worth a second play through
If you go to your gear and hover over say your hat it gives you the option to push triangle and choose any hat you have collected in the past even if you have sold it and you still keep the stats from the hat you want to wear.
Things I wish I knew... "if you change the difficulty, it gets easier or harder".
Glad I watched.
I'm really enjoying this game. I'm only about 8 hours in. It's so freaking fun, I just wish the broom mechanics were better
I invert the y-axis for flying in the settings and it helped a lot for me; but I hate that the motion sensor flying kinda sucks.

Why would I use wimgadian leviosa to carry object and throw at enemies when a button press of R1 do that and it’s faster?
It's leviooosa not leviosaaa. Lol. Great stuff Jor keep it up
5:53 using Accio while they are in midair will bring them down, can even use the freeze spell.
The animals that you can capture , they have a shiny as well
There is one side quest where you can own your own shop and sell the items there for 10% more of your money. But only limited to wearable items only. The quest is called "Minding Your Own Business". But mind you. The quest gets a bit scary for me. I'll just leave it at that.
It's a Playstation exclusive mission

I’ve had some chest not prompt to open again when my inventory was full but have had others prompt to open again whether legendary or not.
Yeah the legendary chest thing got me on the first one, restricted section. I didn’t even know I had an inventory limit back then.
Dropping items on people with Levioso seems tedious and takes time. I feel like you’d do more dps simply spamming spells.
Been playing sense the 6th and just beat it after 9 days it was a great game my only complaints are a underwhelming villian and story and no post game content. None of my choices really mattered either only a couple and not in a big way only Sebastian I feel.
Do you need to be a Ravenclaw to access the area shown in 4:47, or I'm missing something?
Yes, it is roof access to the common room.
Why not just breed beasts to sell for cash. It takes 30 minutes and you can do other things while they breed. If you have all 4 vivariaums you can breed up to 16 at a time then go sell the babies.
It's a puppy mill for beasts 😄
Never thought about turning the sensitivity down, I tried turning everything up to max to get a better feel but I might have to try this option!!
If they add new game plus they should make it so that we can keep the appearance of our wand from former playthroughs and be able to use it a transmog
You can’t change your wand. Period. Unless you win someone else’s during combat. Which this game doesn’t do.
Aside from cosmetics, new game plus is pointless because half the game is taking classes and learning the new spells. I like to rock the classic house robes personally. Makes me feel like I'm playing the movie ha.
@@alexm589 classes and learning spells is definitely not half the game
@Mysterious you kidding me? There are 34 spells learned in the game. Name one that isn't in a quest of some sort. Literally half the main story quests reward you with something as do a bunch of side quests.
What would you suggest for targeting enemies who are grouped up but you wanna target let say the one with a certain colored shield. Without camera relative targeting it is super hard to prioritize my targets when they are standing near each other.
That does get tricky. Can't you click the right stick to lock on and move from person to person after moving the stick? I never "lock on" like that but it might work if I remember.
Is that gold eye piece in the display photo you used for the video is that eye piece a real thing in game or did you add that when editing ?
Turning enemies into barrels then holding them over a cliff till they turn back is fun. For add evil use the downward spell. I was to slow to think of it unfortunately. Would be cool to see.

Thanks for the helpful information. I just bought this today, but I did it so late because I wanted to finish Forspoken before diving into this beautiful game. I knew once I got this, I wouldn't be playing Forspoken ever again. I also had that bug with the eyeball chests! I ran past one I had already opened I believe also in hogsmede and was able to get the 500 again.
I wish they gave you the option to skip, auto-solve on any difficulty setting. Better still give us separate difficulty options for combat and puzzles/ mini-games.
I think it's funny that you stop poachers in this game. But then you sell animals
Like shiny pokemon gotta nap sack em all
How do you know “legendary” beasts will have meaning down the road?

Thanks for the answer though, just confirming what i wanted to know, have a great day
If you use wingardium leviosa and click the button for depulso or descendo, the game will automatically apply the spell to the object being lifted
I do this with explosive barrels to slam them into enemies at terminal velocity
Not sure if this helps, but drinking a focus potion and spamming damage based spells on spiders seems to break their ai programming. They turn their backs and become passive, letting you take them down without a fuss.
You can just buy better legendary gear in hogsmead at end game so there’s no reason to save your legendary chests
