Awesome video and had a lot of fun shooting it with you. Thanks for spending your day hanging out and enjoying the beauty of the Abbey and what it has to offer. God's peace brother.
I just made a reference to it in my comment. This is just a glimpse of the garden of Eden a man could walk for hours and just enjoy God’s beauty. An if that bee tree ever got blowed over I would love to cut the stump off the tree and count the rings to know how old it was before dying.. an each ring tells a story of that year dry years an wet years… yep I got to see a piece oh heaven this morning !!! Thank you both
Hello my good people. I am a beekeeper from Africa, M apiary has 26 hives, Top bar hives, I love the work, more importantly, how they behave. I would like to connect with beekeepers and extensive farmers in the US. Write me an email I, I will send pictures and videos of my work.
The two men that have inspired me over the last 3yrs to start a couple colonies this season. You guys are wonderful and I genuinely appreciate not just all the entertainment over the years, but the wealth of knowledge the both of you have bestowed on a lot of us.
Randy, I donated you almost a hour and a half of my life today and I don’t regret one minute of it! Two of my favorite beeks showing everyone the Abby. Twelve hundred acres thats a big place. I was expecting to see a swamp lizard but you failed to show me one. I bet theres some in those ponds! Thanks for an excellent video!
Mr. Don I was just thinking about you this morning wondering how you were doing. I hope you're having a great weekend. Maybe I can find a good swamp lizard when it warms up a little bit. Maybe we can go on a hunt with Schawee.
Had to watch this one on the big screen smart TV. I have heard about the Abbey for years now. Man, watch a special place!! Thanks so much for the video. I was a treat!
This is the first time I saw the whole Abby's land. It was impressive. Thanks for taking the time, it was awesome. I love it when you two get together. Take care.
Oh, there they are! Jeff and Randy :) You may want to stop telling jokes around that windshield... it's cracking up! At 7:37 that's what I'm using this year also, they definitely seem outstanding. 17:36 Acorn is still good :) at 20:47 I like your foundationless starter wedge strips! At 30:08 maybe a tiny nucleus opportunity if you shook some nurse bees in that Apimaye queen starter hive? No? ok... Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed the walk through all of those old spaces! Oh! at 46:40 that cotton mouth! Yes, please! I'm not going to let Annette see all of those covered hive outposts.
We talked about driving that rig up to your place but we didn't think it'd be a pleasant ride in the snow. I love my old cracked windshield. It's a comment generating marvel. LOL It's also below my line of sight. Acorn frames in an Apimaye hive is the perfect combination of quality equipment. My Apimaye nuc box is taking a turn as a mating nuc at the moment. Thanks for hanging out with us Fred. If Annette decides you need some covered hive stations, I'll come help you construct them.
Very fun to watch you and Jeff tooling around the Abbey grounds. I don't blame you for wanting to get back around there with your camera. A lot of original buildings and other subject matter to photograph.
Kinda like a drive down memory lane. Fun ride around the Abby. Those side by sides are nice. Good to see you and Mr Ed doing a video together again. Fun times
Oh my, what a great video with two of the best bee keepers and friends. Thank you so much for the great tour. The property is just beautiful and the barn, well I’d call it organized chaos LOL. Love it, I could spend all day watching this video. Thanks for sharing part of your life with us and letting us tag along!
This is and was one of the best vlogs. My favorite 2 beekeepers and ranglers 😎😎. As usual, always watching here in Michigan. Loved it. Keep em coming Rooster....Loved the song at the end also. It was a GREAT choice for this vlog...
I can so see you spending a week their with just yourself an your camera AND getting some of the most beautiful and unique pictures… An the Abby?? Ohhh wow it like 1000’s of acres …. I love bee videos but this video was a piece of the garden of Eden, if there ever was one… ❤❤❤❤
Really gotta say thank you for such a great video, watched every second of it , I'm the same type of person, love to go out seeing old places and sights, and exploring . What an awesome location too, That old gate that grew into the tree would make a great wall hanging picture. Thanks for sharing.
😁Look at all that 2nd hand new gear.🤣Jeff keeps asking a fellow beekeeper if he want's to see these hives/bees over here.😂YES!!!🤣The Abby is such a beautiful place.
So I am totally in love with your guys energy. Jeff is so happy with everything he does. What a busy man! Lucky to have all that land and all those buildings to explore and plunder from for his supplies.
Great video Randy. Yall struggled thru that privet to get to that bee tree and didn't complain once. It's a good thing it makes honey. It ruins a walk in the woods. I started watching this on my phone and immediately went and pulled it up on the TV. Beautiful. I had no idea the Abbey had all that.
Beautiful video Randy. I never knew the size of the Abby. What a great place to raise bees and relax. Makes me wonder what the world looked like before the fall of man. 👍🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️🐝🐝🐝🐝
Randy, you and my mother would be great friends. If you bundled her up (she's 87) she would ride all over that property with you, camped out and spent the next day there too. Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to show this to her!
Hello the red berry plants at the end are called Ardisia Cenata aka( Christmas Berry, Coral Bush, Australian Holly etc. 🍒) They are an invasive species from Asia but do have medicinal properties. They are being investigated for uses for Asthma, HBP, and Uveal melanoma. I loved the video. It was so interesting and the area is so beautiful.
That was such a great video! Two of my favorite bee keepers together just having fun exploring and having a blessed day. I also enjoyed seeing more of the Abby. And that was a big snake!
Randy & Mr. Ed, Thank you both for the beautiful adventure at St. Joseph's property...wonderful piece of nature, still kept at a very wild state yet very educational...bee keeping, the way of life...Cheers from Maine.
What a long video... It was so worth watching. This is will be how beekeepers experience heaven. Taking care of honeybees for our Lord in a pristine swamp :)
You guys just amazing team together love this video thank you for that I guarantee you everybody needs a good laugh you are awesome hard-working people thank you for that it was a great video of course stay healthy be happy peace
Hi there Rooster. Really loving your vids! I started with 24 of the Apimaye hives. Age has me down to 12 running at the most anymore. These as you say are insulated, but living up here in Alaska I find my bees still never winter over well. Always have to replace colonies in the spring. :-( April 23rd and we still have over 3 feet of snow on the ground in our yard. Lol. Not even close to beekeeping/swarm catching here yet. High today might get up to 43 deg. Bright blessings to you and yours.
Awesome video the two of you tour guides have running there Randy! Looks like such a journey would be a great deal of fun. That is a wonderfully beautiful piece of property, or a little slice of heaven on earth, depending on how one slices life's journey. Looking forward to a summer filled with many more delightful videos! -Bob...
I really enjoyed this video and watching with you and Mr. Ed interaction made it so nice. You guys are awesome friends and you can tell you have a good time together.

This was so enjoyable. I remember when I used to go out exploring places here in California up in the Sierra Buttes. Our country is so beautiful. Those Cyprus knees, what are they? part of the trees roots? Thank you for sharing this with us, very very cool. You guys are like my husband and his best friend, too funny. I love you are so into photography, I hope you put out a book so I could buy it.
Boy, I really enjoyed this post! The outdoors, your friendship, the music. You're a long way from my neck of the woods (southern Wisconsin) but I've experienced similar escapades... I really enjoyed this post!!😊
Must have missed this vid, which would have stunk if I never found it. Love exploring stuff like that. Could be a shed, could be a house, don't care. So long as it's old and cool.
Y’all looked like you had so much fun and the whole jokingly love was awesome. That place was so gorgeous and reminds me of my childhood playing and going into barns I wasn’t supposed to be going in.
So much beautiful forest and land...I just can't bear to see trees cut down, esp. clear cut. Nice video! I really enjoyed seeing all the old buildings and Mr. Ed's bee hives back in the property. He's never taken us on a tour. You are a special friend to have been taken around and gotten to see everything. Thanks for bringing us along!
Laughing at you, Breaking the law, breaking the law! hahahaha! I bet Mr. Ed didn't get that...reckon he ever watched an episode of Beavis and Butthead?
That was actually a really good video Rooster. I watched the whole thing. Give Mr Ed a high five for me next time ya see him. Hell know who I am. Thanks for the content
Awesome video and had a lot of fun shooting it with you. Thanks for spending your day hanging out and enjoying the beauty of the Abbey and what it has to offer. God's peace brother.
Hope all is well Mr Ed. Thanks to you and dirt rooster for the tour
Thanks for not driving way out in the woods and telling me you thought we had a low tire and then taking off when I got out to look.
I just made a reference to it in my comment. This is just a glimpse of the garden of Eden a man could walk for hours and just enjoy God’s beauty. When Jeff , knocked on that tree, I could hear the bees , saying, ( I hear you knocking, but you can't come in).
They probably thought he was a Keebler elf looking for a new place to set up shop.
What a beautiful property!!!
