@@sufyanm4661 yea, I like Sram and been using them for a while but they just simply suck balls sometime. The derailleur starts to deform even with 0 exterior damage.. just by it's tension and usage. The eyelets of the frame starts to wear down creating a play in the individual pivoting pins

Let’s see how carbon frames take an impact, for now I like my AXS, and the piece of mind that a hard impact would only brake my hanger and not my 4k carbon frame

Lol..i still go to old school 11speed xt, slx or deore..some hardtails have different rear hanger but solid constructiion like the rurok kanlaon, sta.cruz jackal and the intense tazer..the new sram wont fit those.
I really like the new derailleur setup without the additional hanger. However it is going to cost a nice price for the complete system. And unfortunately for me my bike still has the qr fitment. So ja. That is not yet for me.
Yay in general, people clearly want it. But it's a nay for me personally. It's just one more over complicated thing to go wrong and to forget to charge.
But, they have to pay for the R&D so they can stay in business. So right now they do cost more to make. As they recoup the cost, hopefully, the prices will come down. (If the purchasing power of the dollar will stop falling. Hmmm, have no idea what could be causing that…)
No limit screws and its mounting system, meaning it can not go into spokes. And the fact the mount does not bend means it cant be forced that way either
@@dantindley5181 the cage can absolutely be bent into the spokes the same as any other long cage rear mech. Yes the upper body is much stiffer due to the way it attaches but still very vulnerable at the cage, will take more effort but still possible.

This is a genius idea from SRAM. I get full on Apple vibes - create a problem to sell the solution. Not only they force you you to buy their proprietary chain which is insanely overpriced consumable, but they will also force you to change the insanely overpriced cassette more often as instead of 11 tool grade steel cogs you will now have only 9 and the rest 3 are made of aluminum alloy which is way, way softer material. If you ever had SRAM 12 speed cassete, you probably know that it's best to use the largest cog as little as possible because it's wearing down much faster than the steel ones and it may force you to replace otherwise perfectly fine cassette just because the larges cog is worn out.
All the other cogs are steel, just like any other cassette. If you’re using the 52T cog “all the time”, and wearing it out before the other cogs, you’ve got too big a chain ring.
ok is there a bypass if the system breaks down. so it can be used manual no electric. if none of these systems have this back up, its flawed . just like tiptronic geared cars or vans. once it breaks down your FUKT you cant move you need to be towed away for repair
I honestly hate hangers that have failed on me and my wife’s and my son’s bikes more than 3 times. Each time it destroys the drivetrain and fun on the train! Why did we have hangers to start with? Glad we are seeing some real innovations from SRAM!
I say no because other people don't realise and I'm going to post this comment to them That when there is energy current through where the charging mechanism is I think it's off electricity funny charge and been employed the charging start deleting but unfortunately the same a regular basis second of all what happens if you forget to charge it go on a bike ride and something happening stops going up and down stuck in that same Gear or it loses energy on a bike ride always in energy on a bike ride
@@yoel_weingarten it has the same overload clutch that the old AXS has. Ive had the same GX axs derailluer for two years. My bike literally fell onto the derailluer on a 20 foot gap and it both the mech and hanger were fine. Its really strong already so i can on ly imagine its going to even harder to break
I like the concept but I actually prefer my SHIMANO that came on my TREK, it’s not fancy or anything but simple to use simple to maintain; no extra bs like oh dang can’t ride it now forgot to charge up my shifter battery. I mean when Tesla and all the other Biden guys use up all the juice to charge their cars what ya gonna do wait to charge up some other time skip the ride. Heck No keep it old school.
Just got rid of my brand new AXS GX and took cable XT, that thing went through several mechanics and no one was able to set it up to shift properly...so until SRAM allows for individual gear adjustment I am with a cable...

why change the button design. it felt nice with your thumb fitting perfectly in the button and you could gently slide up or down with the axs eagle
