Best snowblower on the planet, only downside is the price
Ja, med denne så blir snøryddingen bare moro! Bare å frese all snøen over til naboen😮
Nice snowblower
Finally some one who idles down the engine after starting and letting them warm up
@@tjlovesrachel i do that with my snow blower, start it let it run at idle for a good 5+min while i use shovel or clear off cars. 20 some years old still runs like a champ
@@arbiter1 same here… I feel it’s a must… I just hurt inside whenever I see people start and go all out from a cold start.
Bought my HS928 in 1998 and still going strong 👍
That is one magnificent piece of machinery. Congratulations on your purchase and I hope that you enjoy many, many years of reliable service from it. Hondas are exceptional snowblowers from my own experiences.
Yes and thank you! Honda makes some really good equipment like snowblowers and generators. Very reliable for years and years. And they keep their value.
Honda=good investment
At my local dealer it's $9200.00
OMG!! You sold me! This covers every problem with a snowblower.
Agreed- Best snowblower on the planet.
You can't beat Honda Engineering.
Fact.
Nice machine! Love the way it cleans so completely down to pavement.
Why does No one use Bank/Drift bars any more for the deeper snow??🤔🤔🤔
@@gregstruckingweatherandroa1414 I added them to my 1336i. After an impeller mod, and a new main jet. You can't beat this machine, I sold my Ariens rapid track last year for the US version of this machine, that Ariens was awful unless on even ground.... Yes you have to walk behind it still, but with 3,000lbs per minute of throwing capacity, it clears more snow faster and farther than a garden or most subcompact tractors. Plus, it fits between garden gates where plows and 5+ foot front or rear mounted Snowblowers wont fit.
My ariens could do the same but quicker
More stuff to break
@@chrissikora3359 No it couldn't I have owned both. The Ariens feels faster but the Honda is moving more snow.
My father got a 828 Honda snowblower that’s 27 years old and it runs like new!! Two pulls and it starts everytime, great video 👍
Yes, Honda power equipment lasts a long time if you take good care of it. And it is easy to get spare parts. Lots of professional dealers worldwide!
Am shure Yamaha copy and try to improve but not as long in the business
This is one of the best videos that I have found on the performance of this machine the only thing missing is a snow cab
I tried to buy one of these units back in 2022. Unfortunately it was around fall when I went out shopping for one and all the dealers said all allocations were already accounted for. They said I would have to order a year in advance. I live in Canada and we do get lots of snow.
Most of the dealers only had the 28" and smaller in stock at the time so I just bought the 28" track drive model. It's still a beast and nothing compared to the 36" Hybrid but I'm glad I still went with Honda. The snowblower I had previously was also a Honda track 24" drive bought new in 2007. There was nothing wrong with it except it was too small, so I gave that away to my brother.
Honda makes some really good snowblower!
She's a beaut clarke!!! With a rig like that you pray for snow every day. I have an ariens ,Honda is the only other machine I would buy. That dude has all the bells and whistles. Great video
That is an impressive piece of machinery. I want one.
thats the king of blowers right there man what I would give for one it takes he half the day to do my mother's driveway when we get deep snow
Thanks! Yes it is beast of a snowblower. And very reliable. I have been using it every single day in 2024 till this day! So much snow here!
Can't beat Honda Snowblowers. I bought mine 10 years ago, and still works like a charm. The only mod I'm considering to do to mine, is to swap out the halogen lamp with a LED one.
Dry snow, wet snow. No problem, as long as the throw chute don't clog. Nothing a little silicone spray won't prevent :)
Hi! Thank you for your comment! I replaced the halogen lamp with LED, much more light. But keep in mind that LED does not get as hot as a halogen bulb, so snow can build up on the light when snowblowing in windy conditions. (Some LED lights have built in heating wires in the glass to prevent this)
@@InTheVise good idea. I put a rigid brand small LED light bar on my machine. Talk about light. Cars cant miss me. Its so bright it laughable. Mounted on the front with brackets elevated i made. Expensive but a marvel.
What about using a headlamp? On your head, you can get one for 30-40 dollars
I have its younger brother the 1132. Its nice that they finally cut the 4th side out of the chute. .I did it myself and it helps a lot. I also upsized the carburetor orifice because the 1132 starves for fuel to meet the EPA standard. With the carb upgrade its a different animal...less smoke and much less bogging down under load...it wouldnt even idle smoothly until the change. I have never seen your machine anywhere.
world of difference under load, swapped my main jet for next size up on an HSS1332, this is how it was intended to work in the first place 😀
@@andreh.dupuis8475 agreed
@@rogerwhiting9310 when you think about it the original jet being too restrictive has the same effect as running the engine with the choke partially activated, it affects the fuel/air ratio
@@andreh.dupuis8475 agreed
That is a great piece of machinery.
Yes, it works great for tough conditions!
I just bought one and can't wait for winter, never thought I'd say that.
Great snowblower but they are expensive. That’s a lot of snow you’ve got there but that machine ate it up and spit it out quite easily.👍👍🇨🇦
No match for a Honda!
Thats quite a machine !! Looks of your property, you need a wider one!!! Was considering getting one myself 24 track one.. thanks for sharing!!
What a beast.
Honda est une marque très robuste et très fiable. Elle fait partie des meilleures marques au monde. Rien à dire au sujet de ses machines, rien! A conseiller sans le moindre doute possible.
Yes, Honda makes some really good products that lasts a long time!
Thank you for using Japanese snowploughs. With thanks from Japan.
Of course! Honda makes the best snowblowers! Very popular here in Norway
Very impressive! But can we get a review on that gas can you used?
Very useful info seems like wet snow is not a problem 👍🏻
Not a problem with this model, it has the power to push it through!
Beast
Wow such a sweet snowblower , all I have is a 80volt Kobalt snow blower that I bought during a clearance sale for 90 % off so was like 37 buck but tool only . Great vid
I love my craftsman snowblower weve had it since i was 13 so 13 years and it runs great sadly im in NC now and never get to really use it lol
Wow! That’s a beast!
Impressive but I also like your Dewaukee!
Like a damn tank! Nice machine!
Здравствуйте! Подскажите пожалуйста, как определить год производства на моей Honda HSM1380i: SAYJ 1510546
It is on the silver colored label on the side of the machine.
Я эту этикетку нашел, но не знаю, какой год производства у меня
@@InTheVise написано на этикетке вот так: SAYJ 1510546 какой год?
I am not sure then!
Спасибо за ответ, если я найду, то вам напишу🤝
honda and yamaha snowblowers has most throwing distance machines in the world...l don't know how but before throw snow pressed and compacted before reaching chute .... not splashing from chute ...going very straight and farder ....
nice but difficult to justify at twice the price of its little brother the HSS1332, then again some of the boys like to have the biggest and baddest this side of an enclosed cab tractor 😀 happy snowblowing !
Addendum: this model is hybrid in the sense that the powertrain uses electric motors and the auger/impeller runs off the gas engine with a generator to recharge the powertrain batteries.. very complex and $$$
That much $ ? Holy cow, that's crazy. What's the point other than to one-up the Joneses?
It is not complex at all and actually has less parts than hydro or friction disk units. There is a 24V alternator and 2 electric motors thats it.
I could find a nice used compact tractor with a snowblower attachment for this price without looking for too long.
@justinlegend8800 find a subcompact tractor for $8k that comes with a front mount blower that fits through under 48 inch garden gates.... And then I have a sub compact tractor that is too big to go where the Honda goes and is too small for anything else on my property.
@@macula1269 We’re not saying it’s never a good fit for special circumstances but just that very few will choose this over it’s very capable little brother at half the price.. just for fun I checked Kijiji and found a couple for sale around Toronto, one was by an elderly man who used it twice and is selling apparently for health reasons.. Might have to go take a look at it😁happy snowblowing 😄
Nice dint get much snow butI still need one
Jesus Christ. What a machine
Yes, it’s a beast!
That's kinda old Jeep with some snow chains and a plow money though. Still want one.
Wet heavy snow. No problem! 💪
What is hybrid about the machine? The adjustments? I have a 7/24 on wheels and an 8/28 tracked. These are the top of the snow blowwing world without question!
It has electric drive motors on the tracks. So you can adjust the drive speed and direction on each track independently. Makes it turning on a dime and easy steering on this heavy machine. You can also drive the tracks without starting the gasoline engine, only running on the two batteries. Nice option if you want to move the machine around indoors.
@In The Vise my newer 7/24 has independant steering as well and they do turn on a dime! So the gas engine is only for the auger and impeller?
@@scatpack440 yes, and an alternator to charge the batteries (24V)
Хорошо светит фара👍
Какие характеристики у фары? Какая мощность лампочки и напряжение?
It is LED light. 90 Watt. 24V
Спасибо за ответ 👍 пусть снегоуборщик служит долго💪
Аппарат огонь 🔥
That's a nice piece of equipment.
I ended up with a tractor for the main driveway etc, and a walk-behind close to walls/porch etc.
What happened to your New Holland?
Still have the New Holland for the bigger areas! But this winter has been almost snow free and warm weather. Just had a couple of snowfalls back in November and December. I have not even put on the snow chains and snowblower on the New Holland. I live in the south of Norway.
@@InTheVise Makes sense! Boy oh boy is that a nice Honda though!
Have to use snowchains (RWD), and have to back up the driveway, which I have to do to clean up the plowbank anyway, so have at least been able to test the concept.
Middle here (Trøndelag) and same deal, not too many snowfalls, which means the summer is going to be hot, and next winter we're going to get hit with a lot of snow.
It's been years since we've had alternating cycles like this, but nothing to panic about so long as we're prepared 😁
I love and own multiple Honda pieces of equipment. I couldn't help but notice though the entire video was on a very flat surface. Where are the real challenges? How about cutting a path up the hill in the background?
Hi! I will definitely show it the next video once we get some more snow! It has no problem to climb steep hills. As long as it is no ice underneath the snow. No traction on ice with tracks.
The advantage of the electric track drive ie; hybrid design is what?
Hi Cowshot tv! You can run each track in different speed, stepless, for turning. And you can also run one forward and one backwards at the same time. Turning on a dime. This is a heavy machine, it would not been possible to run and turn this machine without the hybrid design.
And it is possible to move the machine around without starting the fuel engine. Nice when moving the machine around indoors.
Wish I had that when I had the acreage and the 800ft. driveway with all the terrible high drifting. There were times with my little 8 horse mtd that I would finish but an hour later I would have to do it again
Nice machine- but I really like that gas can! Where can I get one of those?
Hi! It’s called Birchmeier Rapidon 6. I live in Norway, and I bought it here. I’m sure you can buy it online as well. I think they are Swiss made. Good quality!
@@InTheVise Not available on the website as of today 12/09/22. Only 3 funnels avail for refilling purposes. 🤥
Me likey. One thing that always bugs me and is so blatant with this monster is how he is taking only about 2/3 of a swath and still having snow falling onto the cleaned area.
Seems at this level of deluxeness, they could maybe add an additional panel wing mounted flat on each side of the auger with a pivot bolt at the front. The wing facing the clean side could be rotated forward to collect the falling snow so a full swath could be taken.
Heck, those wings could be motorized with one more control on the dash.
I think you have seen too many Transformers movies.. maybe he needs to slow down..
Se the full video
That is definitely a nice machine. Curious on how it is with the heavy snow? And slush too? You have quite the property. With that said, would you consider like a skid steer with blower? Just asking with all due respect. I’m thinking if that’s a farm, a skid steer is definitely beneficial to what you do there and be quicker to plow that massive yard. Just my opinion of course
Thanks! It does good in wet snow. Slush can clog up the chute, but that is a problem on all snow blowers. We have a tractor as well. Skid steers are not so common in Norway.
Ahh ok, gotcha. Thanks for getting back to me. Cheers. It sure shoots the snow far that machine. Awesome
nice blower! what really caught my eye was the petro can you used to fill it with. would love more info on that. don't have them in the states

Cool. Make a video of it.
I would like to see a video as well. I owned both. The Ariens Rapid track would throw consistently 10-15 feet less far than the 1336i in the same conditions.
Ariens web site mentions up to 60 feet for their professional 13 hp hydrostatic model 😊
Honda web site mentions 62.3 feet max throwing distance for Hybrid HSS1336 and 55.2 feet for HSS1332
I dont believe 70 feet is possible for a 13 hp stock engine 😊

How does it feel to use the hybrid vs the 970?
The hybrid is just so smooth and precise to use compared to the 970. And it has the weight to really dig into hard snow. But it is more complicated to operate because of all the controls.

You have to consider todays economic climate and material shortages.
For a driveway that size, landscaper/contractors that charges on the clock want up to 800-1000 bucks a season here in Norway, and that's barely keeping them on the level for maintenance and new acquisitions: The prices are rising.
And the size of their rigs means they can only get the main driveway and a little bit along the porch, then you're left hand shoveling.
He said he got a great deal on this, probably 3-4k, that's way less than what new smaller mid-range models go for with today's material shortage.
And he didn't have to wait for it to be delivered.
In comparison, a used tractor with a snowblower & front snow bucket, that doesn't look like a rats nest, in good shape, is 10-15k.
And again, you're left hand shoveling for longer than you sit in the tractor.
My own tractor was 4k this summer, and that's a used RWD 1982 Case with more than a few electrical gremlins.
The inverted 3pt snowblower I have on it is family heirloom from 1987 and would have been another 3k, so that's up to 7k, 3-4k more than this Honda blower, and then theres shipping, and not including frontloader with bucket.
And then the Honda goes places the tractor can't reach, so I have to use a smaller walk-behind as well.
Or, in so many words: There is no "still".
Sadly..
@@ToreDL87 well aware. I just picked up a Kraken.
Next step for these snowblowers would be gps assisting😅 Works like robot lawnmower😬🙄😅

Impressive machine. Honda engineers great products. Unfortunately in the states Honda just discontinued all its lawnmowers even though they were arguably the best. @@Zanderthelab In the last few months. There's a bunch of UA-cam videos covering the news. They had great mowers but the market for homeowners is moving towards battery power and they had none.
