@@TRHamza do you plan to go all out and turn the M5 into one of the craziest V10's on UA-cam or keeping it subtle. I saw a few vids with E60's pushing 1000bhp.
You are 100% right about the modern cars, and I think the vast majority of "car people" now, don't really appreciate the older supercars for what they are, if it doesn't make 700+ HP from the factory it's rubbish. I remember when the Ferrari 360 was introduced it was considered insane, now most people consider it "slow" I love the older car content, the V10 is legendary, much like the C63 6.2 as well. I hope you can get the car sorted, It's a gem.
The carbon in the bay looks epic mate! I had a similar issue whenever I drove mine hard, turned out to be the clutch position sensor. Not an expensive fix if that’s the problem
Love to see the diversity of cars you work on, although mostly German, it’s great to see all these cars that you wouldn’t normally see about on UA-cam and really interesting, keep it up bro!!
What an epic video. Great production values, interesting commentary, and man, that sound... Just discovered your channel today, and you've got a new sub!
After I ran mine quite hard one afternoon it had an electrical fit and died on me for a couple of minutes. But after that it was fine. I think yours was just overwhelmed with the hard driving too. Although that noise in reverse didn't sound that great!
Omg Hamza, that car sounds absolutely delightful, the satisfaction of hearing that noise, would make me giggle like a kid, beastly sound from a good looking car,win win bro...
They were like these when new, a relative of ours had one of these back in like 2006 every time you took the car for a thrashing it would have a hissy fit. It would throw lights on the dash and sometimes go into limp mode. Turning it off and letting it sit fixed it.

My E60 M5 has the updated software to make it somewhat smoother...but its only so much that you can do with the SMG...best thing to do is shift it manually.
I'm one of those who put a video on my channel. I had the Carboproject one and it does sound good. But like yours it broke and I returned it. I'll be getting the full legit CSL plenum from Infinity Design soon, so I'll post videos on that in the next month or so.
dont mean to diss mate, but i got the before after timecodes and to my ears they sound about the same? 2:20 before and 5:07 after. maybe the revs were quite low..... and the magic is closer to the redline?
Is your sunroof missing the headlining cover? ... There's a sliding cover that blocks out the sunroof and that reduces pretty much all the wind noise from the sunroof
Hello Hamza, I own a 2009 e63 M6 and was wondering what your fuel consumption looked like, mine is around 28l/100km which translated is about 9.2 mpg converted. I find it awfully high considering it used to be 24l/100km. Any ideas on what could have happened? P.S. I drive pretty hard however respectfully meaning I always let my engine warm before using it and let it cool off before stopping the engine, other than this my driving style has not changed to any year prior.
Does the carbon intake plenum have the original inlet trumpets inside the plenum as if it doesn’t and is just a hollow box then the performance will be reduced. The original plenum has the inlet trumpets facing certain directions so that the pressure pulses from one inlet force air into another inlet improving performance.
I reckon its the clutch, when I had my M5 it done something similar it kept stalling on me, and I limped it home and 3k later had a new clutch, then 6 months later the gearbox went. I've still got the knackered gearbox at work
Did you check for code? I have 154,000 miles on my m5 and smg is pretty reliable to me. Perhaps, your issue has something to do with the solenoids o-rings that has a tear that causes a leak which can cause the car to stalled.
Gonna monitor it, hopefully it was because of the back to back burnouts in a short space, as it’s never happened when out on backroads. E60 life I guess!
@@brucewayne2397 that’s interesting. I have my M5 since 47,000 miles. The only time I had smg issue was when I changed the fluid and somehow the new fluid destroyed the old o rings for the solenoids a couple of miles later which caused a leak in the actuator block but that was 30,000 miles ago or two years ago. I supposed if I never messed with SMG, it would have no issue. My plan now is to change the fluid every 50,000 miles so I don’t have to take out the transmission again.
Also there are four things that critically causes smg not to work properly assuming your clutch is good. 1. Smg relay 2. Smg pump motor 3. Smg leak 4. Low smg fluid
I wish I had the balls and bank account to Match the way you drive your e60 m5. Everytime I hop in mine I drive with constant fear of something breaking or malfunctioning. My e46 m3 is far less worrisome. Spectacular intakes and intake manifold, it’s definitely goals for me to add to my car one day.
Peice of Advice if the car does that then it's just the transmission overheating, happens to me all the time after long distances. Just make sure your SMG system is topped up with SMG fluid. And if the car ever revs before changing gears or let me say if it slips, then ur PLCD sensor is gone.
