- The E60 M5 is famous for its S85 V10, and more specifically the absolutely incredible sound it can make when modified.
Since they were brand new owners have been modifying the exhaust to get that glorious V10 wail, and for many the Eisenmann Race became the go to for both sound and how they look.
But now Eventuri has launched their much anticipated full carbon fiber plenum to bring that incredible CSL-esque intake roar to the S85.
This combination really has released the full V10 symphony that the S85 is capable of, making it an incredibly special occasion every time you go for a drive.

Will always love the V10 M5. A sports sedan with a NA V10 won't happen again. It's an icon and a future classic. I really hope a customer will approach Evolve, to do a ZF8 speed swap. Would be interesting to see how it goes with a better transmission.
Pro car in Netherlands did a 7dct swap. Amazing.
Can the ZF take the input shaft speeds?
A torque converter auto will never handle those revs, no matter what you do. The only easy option is the DCT that came with the S65 E9x M3 or of course the 6MT

Amazing. The S85 was begging for an Eventuri carbon plenum. Have the full Eventuri Carbon planum, carbon intake setup on my E92 M3 and it sounds glorious. The rev matched down shifts sound ferocious! The quality of the plenum and intake are truly OEM/Motorsport grade!
That plenum is an absolute work of art! I remember learning about Evolve through XCAR's video on your E60 M5 back in the day. Evolve should get one just as a show piece paying homage to the first iconic car of the company.

Have been testing prototypes of this plenum since 2020 and each time the legends at Eventuri managed to somehow get more sound out of each iteration and can confirm that the final retail version is absolutely amazing! Truly intoxicating.
I had the M5 since 2016, bought a Lamborghini Huracan last year and thought I would sell the M5 soon after...I will never sell it now. There is nothing like the scream after 8K RPM and there never will be, truly a legend and I'm so grateful Eventuri have produced such an amazing product after BMW teased us all those years ago with the one-off CSL that never went into full production.

That would be the ultimate package
all it needs now is a nice set of wheels, with a lower offset. and coilover suspension for better handling and to even the ride height front to back. ride height looks more higher in the front 🧐

Hi Imran! Was there any particular reason that you guys stuck with the 2 piece design, versus the single piece plenums? I'm curious if there were any downsides you became aware of.

Is the plenum available to U.S.?
Is there a reason why the customer didn’t opt to remove the centre section (I.e. resonator / secondary cats?). Would it be too loud or?
This is the volume he wanted. He’d owned the car from brand new so probably wasn’t looking for an incredibly loud car having had it standard for so long.
Hi team could you please give me some advice, I'm having a range problem on my key fob, have to point it vertualy at back window to make it work, comfort access hit & miss, to start car you have to insert key, radio signal not great but works, could it be the diversity antenna, I have the m5 e60 any help would be much appreciated.
Not something we’ve experienced but I’d be looking at the wiring for the antenna used for the alarm system

What performance advantages do you get with the plenum?
There are no performance benefits from changing the plenum, it is a 1:1 copy of the original, just made in carbon fibre with the material thickness acoustically tuned for an incredible intake sound through all 10 ITBs.

I have an 08 M5 and the stock exhaust sounds the best.

Looking at those Throttle Bodies, how does it sound with no plenum? 😬

@@EvolveAutomotive What about those trumpet like looking stuff on individual throttle bodies, don't they help with something, and also what tunning would one need to look at if i was possibly looking to do that on my E60
It would still be a compromise, sucking in all the hot air of the engine bay. It’s not something we recommend.
With the exhaust it does sound amazing , I have the same setup but without the carbon fibre plenum and tbh £2778 for the plenum that’s a ridiculous amount of money 😬
Two quality carbon fibre plenums are never going to be cheap. The market doesn't think theyre expensive as they have been on back order since launch.
@@EvolveAutomotive Before I looked up the price I thought it’s probably around £1500 for the plenum and i would of purchased one , tbh the car with the carbon fibre air intakes and back box delete sounds fantastic anyway , for that price I would need to compare my car to another that has this fitted , anyway it’s just my opinion gents keep the good work up I enjoy the channel. 👍
If you get the chance to hear one in person definitely take it up, it’s on another level compared to just the intakes, almost makes us want to own an S85 again 😅

Why would you not use your own headers and exhaust system? Whats wrong with it?
Nothing, the customer chose not to do them at this point (although has been in touch since)
Our own E60 M5 exhaust has been discontinued for awhile, we still offer the headers. We can also offer the Supersprint exhaust who manufactured our exhaust, and still does manufacture the headers.

I already have the eventuri carbon intakes(and your guyses full s85 exaust valvetronic headers!) the plenum would really put it together
The plenum is a fantastic upgrade to really bring out the incredible V10 ITB induction noise
I want to sell my 2017 330i for this car. But it will be pretty high mileage. You guys should get a high mileage one
This S85 V10 does need an X pipe to sound great.
With an X pipe it sounds less like a trumpet and a little more high pitched than this.
Owners can add that stuff while they're overhauling the engine, lol.

Unfortunately we didn’t have time to take this car for a drive and keep the customer waiting, but we have driven one with the same combo and it is incredible. We’ll make sure to take the next one out!

@@EvolveAutomotive no power differences im sure .. the infinity design plenums are one piece which come with removable top and direct stacks to Tbs .. those i can see making additional power gains , although tuning and maf sensors i am unsure of ..
Eventuri don’t claim it makes any power difference - They’re for sound and aesthetics. They require no ECU tuning, do not effect drivability and do not throw any error codes/lights.
Tuning the harmonics of a plenum is an incredibly complex science to make genuine gains without sacrificing power elsewhere throughout the rev range. We are very wary of any plenum design that claims a legitimate performance increase for the plenum alone.
