PHD and intermittent/extended fasting is the fast track to health! I drop 100 lbs in the last 12 months and ditched my insulin after 14 years. The mainstream media (as well as the AMA, AHA, and ADA) is nothing but a propaganda machine for big government, big pharma, and big food. That said, I started a 96-hour fast this morning. Wish me luck!

My uncle is 85 years old and had been on intermittent fasting for 75 years. Yes, 75 years of fasting. He does 18-6 or 16-8, eats twice a day, low carb Mediterranean diet. He never had any illness even though all his family died from heart attack and diabetes. He has very low body fat, 20/20 vision and looks like he is in his 50s. It work guys. He managed to overwrite his dna and outlived his siblings. Fasting work really good.

Just completed a 40 day water fast, every week my doctor's office would call and urge me to go to the ER & to stop fasting immediately- just got my bloodwork done and all my levels are good- including the previous fatty liver I had from years of alcohol abuse- totally restored back to normal!! Doc's office didn't have too much to say about that & haven't heard from them since despite my reaching out for a follow up 😏😅

I was a prescribed opiates addict for 40 years and one morning I woke up and I could hardly see due to blurred vision. My body broke out in diabetic rashes and lumps and bumps. After a short while my vision cleared. It really frightened me into action. I weaned off all the prescribed opiates and stopped smoking. I then started strict carnivore with only meat, salt and organic butter. After a week the rashes disappeared and my morning vision went back to normal. I have lost 35kg in 4 months and I’m feeling 100% better. I’m still as motivated as I was on day one. My ketones fluctuate between 2.5 and 3.0.

I also had blurry vision and eye pain. I never was diagnosed diabetic but I had some borderline lab tests. I've been doing keto and fasting for about 1.5 months and have lost about 15 pounds. I have been walking and jogging because I have energy, and I'm not in nearly as much pain. I can't wait to see how I continue to improve. I'd like to be down another 20- 30 lbs by summer.

I was never diagnosed as a diabetic but I am sure my sugar was up because my diet was mainly carbs. I was too nervous to go to a Dr because I knew my bp would be high. Finally after 2 months of IF and losing 25 pounds I went to the Dr. Where I found out I had non alcoholic fatty liver disease. My numbers slightly elevated and I am positive because of my weight and bad eating habits. My numbers last time they checked almost normal because I am doing IF and continuing to lose weight. I am like a different person. I look and feel different and I am not afraid to go to the Dr or step on a scale. It's not bad. Before all the junk food, and fast food places, overall people were healthier. We walked most places.. Sat down with our families for a quality balanced dinner. We didn't have cake, pie and or donuts every night. Now, you want something it is there, everywhere. Combine ease of getting food, coupled up with al the additives to keep you wanting more, it's now a recipe for disaster. Once I dove into keto and the benefits (Dr. Jason Fung). I knew that's what I needed. Got into the grove of it, I'm down 40 lbs and not going back to my SAD diet any time at all. Being happy not having serious carb cravings, never felt so good. Intermittent fasting, is definitely an excellent addition to the keto/low carb lifestyle. Once people are well positioned doing our lifestyle, then doing IF definitely is easier. I pushed my 1st meal, 1 hr at a time. Now most days it's 14-16 hrs past my last one. Funny how it all comes into place...

Dr. Berry, it's high time I thank you for the wonderful work you are doing helping the world to make sense of metabolic health. Three months ago, I was borderline morbidly obese, I took prescription drugs for acid reflux, cholesterol, high blood pressure, general pain, and for nerve pain. Some of these conditions "required" multiple drugs to meet the arbitrary target lab results. Being fat required that I sleep with a bipap machine to ensure that I kept breathing. In my case, I was not eating sugar or fast foods or processed foods at all. I was living on the prescribed "most healthy" diet that most doctors recommend. I ground my wheat berries into flour which I used to make my bread and my pasta, I ate lots of vegetables, "proper" portions of protein, and largely avoided "unhealthy" animal fats while consuming much more "sensible" options such as vegetable oil. When I talk about cutting out carbs, I mean vegetables and whole grains for the most part. Back in October I decided to switch my diet to a carnivore diet, eating one meal a day to take advantage of intermittent fasting, I quit all my medications (which were causing me to gain weight and not be able to lose it), I quit drinking alcohol, and I started to monitor my weight changes. I have now lost 42 pounds, my blood pressure is in the normal range, I don't need the bipap machine anymore, my arthritis is gone, I have reversed my pre-diabetes sporting an A1C of 5.3, my dandruff has cleared up, my heartburn is gone, I can walk MUCH more easily, and I have done this without undertaking any serious exercise. Mostly I sit at my computer. When I get a bit slimmer, I will start walking on a daily basis, but for now, I am still too heavy to safely walk in snowy and icy conditions. As you can tell, I have already achieved significant improvements in my quality of life and it appears that there is a lot more ahead. I feel certain that my length of life will be improved as well. I have you to thank for this and I thank you from the bottom of my (much healthier) heart.

Why is mainstream media so hostile to the fact that the body is a self regulating machine capable of repair and all you have to do is not eat to give your body a break from digestion. When you get ill your body automatically starts a self repair cycle by suppressing appetite to induce autophagy so that it can focus on repair and recovery. If skipping meals would shorten lifespan, then the human race would have gone extinct long ago. I guess there is no money to be made by not eating. 😄

Since doing this new fasting regimen I've already lost that and maybe 2 or 3 lbs more. Dr Berry is getting better and better at doing these video. I like how he hit the nail on the head without a lot of fluff. There are other UA-cam personalities who are giving similar advice as Dr Berry, but often the others have a lot of filler until they get to the point. These other personalities are good people and expressing themselves in their own way. Dr Berry's way fits with me.

Thanks to Dr. Berry and a select few channels, I finally won the weight battle, dropping from 297 in 2021 to 233lb. Most importantly, my A1C fell from 8.7 to 5.2. Severely reduced processed carb and sugar intake, water, ACV, min 16 hour fasting.

I fast for 23 hours every day. Eat one meal per day (dinner is all meat) work out 30 - 45 minutes mon-wed-fri and cheat a little bit on weekends. I’m alive, I don’t have acid reflux anymore, I don’t snore, blood pressure is normal, I don’t get random ringing in my ears, no more stomach cramps, I haven’t had a headache in years, I’m energized in the mornings, motivation is through the roof.

It's funny but I've never felt really hungry so early in the morning. I've always felt like eating at 11 am and dinner in the evening. So two meals a day is natural for me. Now I'm doing one meal a day which wasn't hard to change to coming from 2 meals a day. Intermittent fasting is a good way to maintain my weight. If I go back to 2 meals a day I will eat a very small 1st meal and large 2nd meal. I like the economics of it all. Saving lots of money by spending less on food because my food consumption has reduced. Also getting good health benefits since adopting these eating habits.

53♀️. I did water & dry fasting for 21 days and it's fixed all of my cravings and my gut microbiome is perfect! Evacuation is quick and not messy. Although I lost a lot of hair it's grown back stronger. Eyelashes and eyebrows were being lost years ago. My complete removal of processed refined industrial food (junk) has helped my brows and lashes to regrow. Refeeding took longer but was worth it.
If a perfect man(JC) can fast for 40 days and 40 nights then, I'm glad I gave it a good go. Tuning into your body, it's cycles is the best way to live life and enjoy it💗

🌈 Ken, I’m 47 and my first “deliberate” 24 hour fast was when I was 17. You’re a Dr. you do the math 💱 I haven’t died yet 👻 Probably because I was raised a good Irish Catholic, where, even as children, we HAD to eat only fish on Fridays and fast through Saturday night into Sunday morning….when we went to mass ⛪️ to pray for our souls 🙏🏻 Otherwise, we’d be smighted my the divil 👿🤣😂 I still fast most days. Still alive and thriving and boringly healthy 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️and strong as Hercules 🐏 😂 🤣😂💚🍀
