The few minutes in the hot water is enough to make the mushrooms you use in your coffee safe to consume? Ive always heard and been told they should be cooked well. I usualy put mine in a pot with water and hold at 80 degrees for about 3 hours to thouraly heat and get all the benefits of the chaga and reishi. That's just my way I do it though.
