Definitely some of them seemed very disingenuous, but Jaxson is always passing the vibe check. He's one of the few on GenZ reacts that is always into the good shit.
@okumabear, if you haven't seen it yet, Tank the Tech did a podcast with Jaxon a couple weeks ago. Worth a watch, IMO, they covered a lot and he seems like a really fascinating kid.
These bands and many earlier era bands were about the experience. Im talking vinyl albums, they offerd up amazing artwork that you would entertain you while you listened to the music. Many had lyrics, pictures of the band etc. One of the many things I miss from my youth.
@@jamezxhclosest thing I can think of in pop nowadays was that whole The Weeknd album with the videoclips telling his supposed story as an artist, selling his soul to the “devil” and all. But it’s not common at all
Alice Cooper and his wife Sheryl are incredibly sweet in real life. I always question the younger generations watching the videos, but not processing the lyrics and music. Most videos have nothing to do with the songs, they're just a flashy medium to sell the music.
In the case of Slipknot's The Devil In I, the visuals do have a connection to the lyrics. The song is about the band members leaving their past selves behind, and the band members being killed/committing suicide in the music video is suppose to echo that sentiment to an extreme.
@@snazzyjovialwyrm3314 yes, some do tie in directly. There's a lot of comments from reactors that say they don't know what the song is about because the video doesn't match. That's the part I'm talking about. Just want them to listen to what they're saying and disconnect it from the images because it rarely has significance beyond art and marketing.

Seeing this video mention Kiss made me think of the movie about guys who are Kiss fans going to their concert and all the shenanigans that happen to them, Detroit Rock City. You should definitely react to it if you haven't seen it, it's hilarious and a classic!
I get why Powerman 5000 would get labeled shock rock but to me they’re skater music. I associate When Worlds Collide with doing kick flips and grinding rails in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2.
No we don't. Rob Zombie's brother is everything wrong with industrial music. The phrase riding coattails comes to mind. If you want good industrial, Ministry.
I remember watching the rob zombie and white zombie music videos on the bonus DVD when I was a teenager and it is so nostalgic for me. His live performances are amazing too!
I honestly think that you should be more forgiving and tolerant towards them. They react from what they know and their point of view. I remember that your first reaction videos on metal were also quite different than the last ones you did. And when you talk about a KISS song making you nostalgic because you remember it from Guitar Hero I should probably feel the same about you as you feel about Gen Z because I grew up with KISS in the 70s and I feel nostalgic out of completely different reasons. But since I know that you first experienced KISS through Guitar Hero I do understand your feeling from your point of view. See what I did there ? Send greetings to your mom, she might be my generation, haven't seen her in a while in your videos.
I was just watching this video on the react channel lol, then i looked over to my right and saw your reaction video! I immediately clicked off their video mid video to watch yours lol.
Love GWAR!!!! Saw them on Halloween and it was awesome. For "shock rock" how about some black metal like Emperor, Mayhem, Mercyful Fate early 80's, Venom and Slayer.
The original video has a lot of issues, but Rammstein is not shock rock, at all. That bothered me more than anything else, also secondarily, I'm really surprised noone said anything about Manson's legal drama going on
Neither are Rob Zombie, Powerman 5000, or Slipknot. RZ and PM5K are industrial metal, while Slipknot is Nu-Metal. These react company channels never do their research on the stuff that's being reacted to.

Alex.. c’mon now! There’s one band from long ago, that made it a little hard for you to listen to just the music. And fully pay attention. lol Skid Row! And that darn Mr. Sebastian BACH! That lioness being.. with the impeccable blonde mane! 😝🥵 He does do that something to so many reactors. This was a fun/different reaction vid. 👍 Have a great weekend!
I live in Richmond Va the hometown of GWAR. After the passing of founder/ lead vocalist Dave Brockie its hard for me to see them continue on. Its like Led Zep without Robert Plant or Aerosmith without Steven Tyler. For me its just not the same.
You say they’re more tolerable now but wait til you see the pop punk or blink 182 videos. But also that nature valley bar comment had me dying. I wonder if they would even appreciate that one 🤣🤣🤣
Hey man... Joe Bereta, the guy talking, is a genuinely awesome stuff. I am certain he is part of the reason some of these kids are liking rock more. He did a lot for UA-cam in its early days.
"Not thrilled for this. Really not." HaHa Gwar are very talented musicians. The lineup may have changed a lot over the years but a band doesn't still go strong after 40 years if they suck. PM5K lead singer "Spider One" is Rob Zombie's younger brother.
Can I make a request, please? Gen-Z reacts to Black Metal? Heres a few: All Shall Fall - Immortal Souls For Belial - Marduk Transilvanian Hunger - Darkthrone Freezing Moon - Mayhem

I think they are growing older and really enjoying some real rock. You could tell if they knew it. But i didn't see anybody mad about banging some head.
Fun fact the lead singer of Powerman 5000 is Rob Zombie's brother
I saw them live a couple years ago. Great show! I forgot how good they are live.
