Busking and gigs are my main source of income at this current moment. 😃 daily averages from busking vary but it’s typically between £60-150 for a day of playing 4/5 hours. There are buskers out there who get a lot more and there are those who get less. Lots of variables to consider but I have a few videos with some guidance on that (ua-cam.com/video/c1qjgu_Mpbk/v-deo.htmlsi=ROGaBuAt-73sI2t-). As for the videos, at the moment UA-cam pays me about a days worth of busking per month but it continues to grow as the channel does 🙌🏻😊

Any more thoughts on a night time busk yet? I'm dying to see how it goes, or even what the 'rules' are, I know certain councils have a cut off time, I think a night time bush could break all £££ records for you, and you'll have people dancing, all that kind of stuff, it'd make a good vid as well

Hi, how long does your council permit last for (does it have an expiry date)?
Have you ever been asked to produce your permit in any town that you've played in that requires one?
I thought the same as you about little kids and their first experience with live music. I was playing a blues song once, and there was a little girl who started to dance to it. I asked her dad did she like blues music (as I was pretty sure she would have never heard any blues before unless she had heard it at home) and he said 'nah, she just likes anything with a beat'.
Made me think I should include some numbers that kids would like as they are often the ones reacting/putting the donations in, but what songs would they be?
Yes it lasts 6 months and then you have to renew it...! I should have included that really😂
I've only ever been asked to produce a permit once, and that was last week when I visited Horsham for a second time (this video was filmed on the first time). To my knowing, I've never busked somewhere that requires a license without having one! But maybe that's a experiment for a future video...
That's awesome about the blues. I always think it when I see them staring in amazement. I was once asked by a parent if I'd play "twinkle twinkle little star" but to maintain integrity I added it on to the end of Summer of 69 😅 seemed to do the trick...!
