I just played there on Saturday. Me and my bassist amplified for around 2hr 40mins in 1 spot and we did alright tbh. Nice vibe and people were nice and friendly.
Great video mate 😃 very helpful, about the donations I might be wrong but you did OK, competition in big cities is fierce However the moment with the group dancing is priceless, Thank You so much I'm going to Birmingham somepoint
Oh Man I cant tell you what I think on that, does not surprise me at all !!! But well dont on documenting this sad reality ! Why I ran away myself ! Im first in here, your Biggest fan ! Your vidoes always make me smile in a nice way ! Keep on telling the Truth through Music !
I think why you think small towns are better is because the foot traffic is generally slower there, which is easier to connect with acoustic music. I have been busking in Hong Kong, one of the most crowded cities in the world and I find myself doing fine, probably because I usually wait until the weekends when everyone is more relaxed to perform in the streets. So I suggest that you try Birmingham again in the weekends or so when people slow down.
As a busker in Brum it was nice to see this. Its a good job I dont do it for the money though. Your comments on lack of attention are comforting to me. Average about £10 per 2 hours. D'oh! BTW it depends on the warden about whether you're moved.
I've always preferred busking in the smaller towns the music seems to be appreciated more. There's a good few seaside towns around where i live full of tourists in the summer. The vibe is awesome when the sun is shining.🎤🎸🎼🎶🎵🎶🎵
I haven't done Birmingham since 2015. Back then you had to pass auditions for cherry Street and that. But I never liked the noise levels in Birmingham so I don't play there anymore. Every place can be weird. But the big cities I haven't enjoyed so much. Edinburgh was pretty good tbf though.
That's wild!! Did you ever do the audition? I've got Edinburgh lined for this summer - excited to give it a go, I've been for a few visits and always enjoyed the vibe!! 😃🙌
@@AugustRadioProject yeah course I did lol. I became the busker I am now based on my learning in Birmingham. I'm in a documentary about it somewhere lmao.
You forgot Roy Wood? Its so unpredictable busking but its the only way to get noticed and get your music heard, its hard work trying to promote yourself on social media in fact I have come off facebook etc its that bad. Anyway keep rockin, spread the happiness, music keeps us all sane.
keep going mate your positivity is infectious!
Thank you my dude! I appreciate it 😃🙌
This video has been super helpful as a beginner busker in brum :) thanks mate
That’s so awesome to hear - exactly why I made it!! Hope the busking in Brum goes well 😃🙌🏻
It's awesome that you're living the dream! Let me know when you're coming to Barcelona!
Will do!! Long live the dream!! 😃🙌
