Dedication to your craft. But more importantly you adapted and overcame the situation and are stronger for it. Valuable life lessons to all. Thanks again for another great video. Looking forward to the next.
Gordon Bennet, Gould Blimey I think stem from the letters of GB, God Bless, from Dieu Beni , or Blessed by God, so its actually lovely your mother uses this for you.... as you are then indeed Blessed by her and God@@AugustRadioProject
This is SO true! It was supposedly the wettest February on record or something, it definitely felt that way anyway! Heres to some dry, slightly warmer weather! 😃 🙌
Have you tried contacting shopping centres on rainy days? I was busking in Bridgwater, Somerset a few weeks ago and played outside their centre with an umbrella. They invited me inside and have now booked me for this weekend too! 😁
This is amazing! What a great shout and I love that you've been booked to play in one now too! 😃 I will most certainly give this a go, why not! Could make a good video idea too 🙌
Fantastic and well done for sticking it out. I always think if you don’t do these things then you might miss out on something, you might get a gig offer or wedding gig offer or just something random happens that would nt of happened if you didn’t do it. Inspiring as always …thanks 😊
This is exactly it! You never know what might come of it if you fo head out there... another one of the many magic things about busking eh! 😃 🙌 thank you for the kind words!
Say break even well yes.If you make a profit it's a bonus. Its about adventure and I can see you love it.Many moons ago I use to go out touring in this punk band mainly around eastern Europe.Never made anything, use to contribute towards petrol and ferry fare getting there. Then the tour agent use to put us up in small hotels and the gig income paid for expenses from there.Either way I loved it .Yes as a young bloke I can see your living the dream.
Love this video Ben..so great you went for it and made it work - massive positive energy - such an inspiration, from now on rainy busking is on the menu and weather apps will be ignored!! 😂 Weirdly I'm in the Hereford area at the moment - it's one of my favourite places to busk and yep it's awesome in nice weather!!! Lovely to see it so beautifully showcased even in the rain - thankyou!!! ❤ "Street furniture" 😂🤣😂🤣 So fab to meet you in Littlehampton btw and thankyou for willingly sharing the space with a fellow busker - top chap!! 😁🤘🎶
Epic! Great to meet you Kate and love to see the comment 😃and thank you for the kind words! That's awesome you're up by Hereford, a very pretty area, even in torrential rain...! 🤣I'll definitely have to return on a sunnier time because I can imagine its an incredible place on a bright day! Maybe see you again on the travels some time soon! Enjoy! 🙌✌
Ah thankyou too! Hehe yeah it's been chukkiin' it down nicely!! 😂👍 See you next time, that'll be fab - and happy sunny busking to youuuu (whatever the weather, we don't mind...! 😳😂🤘🎶)
Bravo! Well done. The only time I’ve been to Hereford was to perform in the cathedral. I think it was cold and miserable weather that day too. I’m sure it’s sunny sometimes. At least you weren’t flooded out …
A local told me that it's stunning inside the cathedral, I felt a little bad that I didn't step inside but everything was so wet that I just hurried back! I love that you've been though! 😃 🙌 Whilst editing this video I googled "Hereford in the rain" and it came up with some pretty disastrous looking flood photos - now that really would be hardcore busking! Thank you as always Marshlander!
I was in Abergavenny the day before I was in Hereford (check out the video before this one!) - what a lovely place!! I had a great time busking there and will most certainly be back one day! 😃 🙌
You need some 'rain' themed songs for next time dude....Eurythmics - Here comes the rain again...Travis - Why does it always rain on me...Supertamp - it's raining again ha ha
This is such a good shout! 😃 🙌 I do like that Travis song too. Playing "When it Rains it Pours" by Luke Combs on a day like this always works but I also worry that maybe I'm somehow summoning the rain through the music... 🤣 I don't wanna be accidentally manifesting a bunch of rain 🤣
Whistle. ..totally waterproof.. Carbon guitar.. waterproof. Carbon fiddle water proofexcept......the strings. Thèy stretch and so go flat..all the time..yaaaargh!
@AugustRadioProject you inspired me from last year. I was down and lonely. Went out busking. I didn't know there was student accommodation near. A young woman came to me and complimented my performance. Suddenly the world seemed brighter. Doing it does help me feel...more....significant.
Great Video. Thought the camera was going to be bobbing about at the end. Gordon Bennet used to be a term for exaperation back in the 80's. I'm sure that not why you mum uses it. :) Never understood why but.. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_Bennett_(phrase)
Thank you! I absolutely LOVE that there's a wikipedia page dedicated to the expression "Gordon Bennet", that's brilliant! 🤣🤣 and yes, luckily I had the GoPro with me which is waterproof... 😃 🙌

This is exactly the sentiment I was trying to get across, you've put it in such good words here! Thank you John! 😃 🙌
Rainy Days are Like water off a Buskers back, it all drops into the guitar case along with the coin ! Bravo and well played Sir Ben of Buskingdom !
I absolutely love the title "Ben of Buskingdom" - definitely beats being refered to as Gordon Bennett 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you as always! 😃 🙌

Great video! Way to take the challenge head on…man! :) Are there any restrictions for busking at train stations?
Thank you dude! 😃 🙌 most train stations in the UK are considered private land. There are a few where you can busk the shelters outside though!
