Plus when you have to focus so much because the audience knows every note, that concentration causes sweating. The Human Brain requires a lot of physical energy to perform at the level of these performances. It's exhilarating while playing, but later very exhausting. ✌️🫴....🍁

@@secondchance6603 Indeed. I work with a Floyd tribute band and they sometimes perform the title song. My favourite line is 'What is the half life of a colour TV' and also 'what is the shelf life of a teenage queen'. Absolute genius.
The perfect end to a mind blowing experience. First they took everyone astro travelling with Comfortably Numb then brought them back to earth with a slap in the face called Run Like Hell.....just so they could find the exit. lol
The chant was "RUN" with the track being taken from the album. The Wall where Pink is running from his own imagined Fascists out to get him for the crime of having feelings.
Nice to see you back at this great Pulse concert, Ms. Shockwave. The sounds David was creating with his guitar at the opening of this fantastic song are effects only he can magically create on his instrument. He is truly a legend! When you have some time, check out Keep Talking (from this Pulse concert, of course). David plays a new instrument in this piece that will blow your mind....

Four of the six strings have very slight grooves or rings. When you run down a string with a guitar pick, it makes a sound, and if you are actually holding a note with the left hand actually kinda makes it sound like that.
This is one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs, and my favorite performance of it. I like the way the music and lighting build up from beginning to end. The running on stage, vocals, instrumentation were great too. Pink Floyd was always at the forefront of sound and lighting since they started in the 1960's. The lyrics are good too, but can be difficult to understand out of context. Some of them refer to some of the former band members, but mostly are part of the story in Pink Floyds concept album and movie called The Wall. Again great choice of song, and great reaction and commentary.
I must say, this song was really different from the ones I have heard so far and i really like it too. I always enjoy the instrumental intros in their musics they are so captivating. I really don’t k know the band members much just David Gilmore and the guy on the Piano 😊, lightings are always incredible too. Glad you like it.

Absolutely love too. 😊 While all songs on their solo albums I highly recommend, here are a few I suggest… David Gilmour: 1) “So far away” from the 1978 album David Gilmour 2) “Short and Sweet” from the 1978 album David Gilmour 3) “Until we sleep” from the 1984 album About Face Roger Waters: 1) “Radio Waves” from the 1987 album Radio K.A.O.S 2) “The Tide is turning (after live aid)” from the 1987 album Radio K.A.O.S Nick Mason: 1) “Lie for a lie” from the 1985 album Profiles 2) “Rhoda” from the 1985 album Profiles. Note- the song is all instrumental, so not sure if you want to react to it live, but it is definitely worth listening to as it is a very relaxing song. Hopefully this helps some.
