I was at that show in the fifth row. That was '94 when I was a freshman in college. I'm a retired Grandpa by now and I've still never seen a better musical performance. Not a single wasted note.
Show me a production today that can match this from 25+ years ago. When you have real talent with real musicians it doesn't matter if you show up and perform in blue jeans and a plain ol' black T-shirt. Outstanding!
Great reaction!
@Wilmer Waarbroek
Right. Everybody wants to deify Gilmour.... and I get it, but your right. David doesn't believe he's a god.... and I'm gad for that.
Any Live Pulse song is amazing, so whichever you decide to react to, you won't go wrong.
My employer (Labatt Breweries of Canada) was the sponsor for the three shows in Montreal, they were offering employees discounted tickets, in addition to a draw of a few dozen tickets I bought mine for May 23 and I won those (a pair) for May 24. So I saw this concert twice, and some people have asked me, "Why are you going to see this show twice?" When they finally saw the video of this show a few years later, they understood why I was there twice.
No one did concerts like PF. They had more equipment when on the road than any band in history.
And technicians- more like mission control! Lol!
They had to have two stages so one was getting put up in one place, and the other was getting stripped down somewhere else.
That Comfortably Numb live version been in my head for 27 years! And no cell phones then. When you were out for the night, nobody could call you or text you or email you or Facebook BS. Everybody there was into the show
Indianapolis 94. I'll never EVER forget it! No band has even come close since then!!!
Shine on You Crazy Diamond next please
Guy Pratt, the bass player and co-lead vocalist on this song was the son-in-law to Richard Wright, the keyboardist.
next one from Pulse --> Coming back to life = 3 guitar solo .. or High hopes ..
shine on you crazy diamond pulse concert
Richard Wright's Keyboards send absolute chills through me everytime I see this.
the last three songs of the Pulse concert are "Wish you were here", Comfortably numb" and then "Run like hell" by the end i get so emotional that i cry every time.
It just makes me feel so happy that i was able to see them live on this tour.
I'd like to see someone do all 3 at one setting, and get THAT reaction. 😉
I was very lucky to be at the concert in Earl's court a unbelievable experience .
I was there! 1994 September Minneapolis Minnesota
It was the greatest concert I've ever been to!
Pink Floyd is awesome! So is Rush!
Being a bit older and living in London, I was privileged to be in attendance at the Pulse gig at Earls Court. It was so good that we followed them on tour to Paris and Frankfurt. The atmosphere was truly special, and I'm happy it's being shared with a new generation.
To experience a live set that's almost as good, if Brit Floyd ever play near you, go see them. Outstanding in every respect.
It literally took me 3 weeks to get down from that high I got from attending this concert in New Orleans in May 1994. This concert was literally my 27th birthday present to myself, and I must say, it was one of the best I've ever had!!
That’s the way you end a concert! 🎸💥🎶🔥👍🏼
High Hopes is fantastic from this concert, too.
I was at this concert in London, this was the closing number, the third of 3 encores and the perfect way to close the perfect show.
You could say i grew up with pink floyd music i n my teens.. and they where phenomenal then this was way back in the day when they knew how to put on a concert, but the pulse concert the cherry on the top of all concerts,, which doupt if i will ever see again or anybody else for that matter...
I saw them twice during this epic Tour . I knew where my money went: this is honest and pure show.
The PULSE concert is a 2 DVD event. You've only scratched the surface there my friend. They did the entire Dark Side of the Moon album at this concert.
The 3 backup singers each took a turn doing The Great Gig in the Sky, whereas in the studio version it was just one (Claire Torrey (not in this concert tho)).
I would strongly encourage you to do the studio versions before returning to PULSE to watch any more. Like you did with Comfortably Numb.
May I suggest doing either the Wish You Were Here album or the Animals album next? Been a fun ride watching you so far!! Great job!!
This was the last encore of a 2+ hour concert filled with presentations just like this. They turned the lighting volume all the way up for this song. Imagine walking out of the arena after seeing this song to close out the night.
It was so good had to go twice! Doesn't get any better than Pink Floyd! Been listening to them since they started. One of the few perks of being older! We got to experience true talent and the best music ever!
In the 80s I remember smoking 2 or 3 bongs and listening to them with very expensive head phones!
Saw them in 94 Tampa Florida
Iwas ther in 1994 you are right i still have not seen anything like it since now you are part of the Floyd family you should listen to High Hopes from the pulse concert i think you will love it Regards
This song reminds me of my days experimenting with psychedelics. And the paranoia that goes with that lifestyle. I never wanted to be judged so I kept it moving .Thier voices in the song is what my thoughts sounded like .You better RUN! 😆
I love jamming to the bass on this song. That drop D tuning!
I play bass but love Gilmour's guitar playing.
One of these Days is one of my favorites bass songs, it's in the concert video.
I was fortunate to see this tour May 1995 at Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville Tn. One of the Top Ten show I've ever seen.
I caught this tour when they stopped in Denver back in 1994. Such an incredible night.
This performance is in the Guinness book of records .... Can ya guess why ?
I was fortunate to have seen this performed live
Shine on you crazy diamond & coming back to life.
After doing dark side of you moon, It would be great if you also did Animals - what an album!
Great reaction man, thank you!
200 ton stage, 200,000 watts of power, 4 sets of 32 wireless speakers, 53 semi's. fireworks at the end. outside was even better they could use high power gold lasers. had to get FAA clearance
FYI...AT LIVE SHOWS THEY ALSO HAD A BLIMP FLYING OVER THE VENUE...SAW IT LIVE 1994 PONTIAC SILVERDOME 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Some groups still have two drummers, same as this line-up here had with Nick Mason and Gary Wallis. 🙂
Love your reaction to my favorite band! Please react to High Hopes from Pulse concert.
You should check out Roger Water's The Wall tour film. I caught that tour a few years ago, and that too was an incredible night of music and visual epicness.
Run Like Hell PULSE
Run like hell is originally off "The Wall" album. Saw PF 3x thru the 70s & 80's Including "The Wall tour- In concert during this song a large pig dove into the audience with its eyes lit up along with the visual tech witnessed here. Sadly, the Wall concert was never Professionally recorded.
Not every concert ends like that. They change it up. Sometimes encore us comfortably numb long version.
Last song
The last one of the show.
Back to The Wall. 25 more songs to go.
Try do see High Hopes
All PF songs are brilliant the Pulse concert is spectacular but try to play something from David Gilmour live concert in Pompaii 2016 you won’t be disappointed.
esto es Pink Floyd ¿que mas quereis?
I wonder how many people walked out of that concert saying. .
"Well, that was a bit boring and amateurish"
Probably less than zero
Please, react to Great Gig in the Sky - PULSE.
fyi; 14 days sold out at Earl's court. saw 7 times
3 hours and 10 minutes
Anything which one is pink is a masterpiece...David Gilmour the best of all time
NINGUNA BANDA SE COMPARA A PINK FLOYD.
NOBODY CAN BE COMPARED TO PINK FLOYD.
React to ROSALÍA song _ Me Quedo contigo, 🤚🇪🇸
