What a great video. Just installed the exact same speakers in my 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Big Horn. Took about an hour for all four doors and the dash speakers took about another 20 minutes. Your instructions were perfect. Thank you very much.

dude thx for the tutorial. I went with the Pioneer TS-A692F in my 2018 1500 and installed them today. Im glad you gave the tip on putting pressure on the torque screws with the trim removal tool to unbolt them. tbh I would have never guessed that. big thumbs up!

I was honestly wondering if it was just my warlock that had weak speakers glad to know now It wasn't. Going to be adding new speakers along to go with the 2 12s subs i just put in.
yea I want to add a sub soon but trying to keep as much room in my back seats a possible I use it a lot for storage
@@camwiththeram535 all the Rams with the 6 speaker package sound like shit. I have a 2019 with the new body style and you’d think it will have better sound system.. Nope.. still same basic shit. My wife’s Town and Country minivan had way better sound system than this . I’m almost at the end of my lease , but for sure I’m doing this upgrade next time .

Hey man, did the Pioneers add more bass or about the same? Reason I’m asking is I just installed Infinity Reference 3-1/2” in the dash and now it seems I lost a lot of overall bass from door speakers
You lost the bass ... could be because the infinities are so much more powerful then stock haha and they over power the doors , they have way more mid and treble so it’ drowned out the doors get you some door speakers any kind .. I went with the pioneers because they fit due to the smaller magnet but yea they hit .. made me not buy a sub because it rattles everything haha so make sure if you do that you buy some sound deadening material to line the outside of the door panels and you will be fine !!

Actually they’re not out of them but they are saying that they won’t fit in my 19 5th gen

@@camwiththeram535 actually it is not the magnet hitting the window it is the actual cut out size in the new Ram, I would have to dremel the opening out more so the speakers will sit flush in the opening
Just want to confirm . It look like the black wire from the adapter was on the left side connector and the white on the right ? Is that correct ? Don’t wanna get my wires crossed
Just want to point out, be careful what you buy for the front doors. A lot of 6x9s do not fit the front doors but do fit the back and Crutchfield's site can get a little wonky with helping you pick the right fit. There is a brace behind the 6x9s in the front doors that wont allow you to install speakers with huge magnets.
Exactly! I didn’t mention that I should have but these being like stock size they fit perfectly but if they didn’t you just get a spacer and all is good !
@@camwiththeram535 i was wondering whats the max depth in a 6x9 that will fit in front without using spacers? Also should I replace 3.5 in dash or does it rob sound\power from 6x9s?
@@aronbrtn so I’m not sure max depth but I went with these to add more sound since I was doing subs and dash speakers I swapped out for jbl speakers kicker where too tinty for me loud haha but tinty
Curious I own a 16 Ram 1500 with Alpine upgrade, with this setup should be a lot more power? Leaning towards all Infinity Reference for the 3.5 dash, 6x9 front and back, and rear ceiling. The Sub under rear seat I'm still researching. Thanks for showing how to remove door panels. Cruthfield rocks.
The amp would power these Easy just make sure to get some sound deadening

Thanks for posting this, it was a help. I put in the same 6x9 speakers but not sure on the dash. Did you need to use resistors on those? My stock dash speakers are 8ohm, was worried putting in 4ohm would be overpowering and take away some of the power from the front doors since they are wires together. Were you able to just play with the fade and eq to balance it out? I already have an aftermarket head unit, was considering the same kicker door speakers you have.
I changed my kickers for skar 3.5 speakers and they are wayyy better I would do those over the kickers and they are same price rn go to skars website

@@camwiththeram535 awesome, I was looking at those too but was going to check fit. So no bass blockers or anything, they are good as is? Anything is better than the green paper speakers I took out of the doors, guessing the dash are the same

I don’t remember I just recently swapped them out for the skar speakers

Didn't they trigger the ANC system!! I get horrible droning/huming put the speakers because the ANC goes crazy. Need to bypass it

The only problem with these speaker setups in the ram is the dash and front door is wired in parallel meaning your 4ohm aftermarket speakers will be @2ohm on the head unit and it will damage it

I changed my panel speakers to.i got some 3.5 kickers too.but when i turn all the volume up it sounds bad.did this happen on yours?

So I have mine almost all the way up all the time haha
Install bass blockers to 3.5 if your going from 8ohm speakers to 4ohm speakers. Because the bass will distort sound.You can get them pretty cheap on Crutchfield Plug & Play.
Make sure there they are the same ohm rating as the factory speakers. Also verify polarity is correct connecting to your new speakers..
Isnt the sound really bright tho. I tried 2 ways in my truck and the bass went away

I should’ve went with pioneer. I bought these stupid crappy 60 watt mtx 6x9’s. Honestly, my stock speakers sounded better
Mtx is just Ight to me I’ve always gone pioneer or kicker
