Watch a full tutorial as a 2007 Dodge Ram will have a new pair of 6x9" Alpine component speakers installed on the front doors. We will be replacing both the midrange as well as the tweeter for the best sound quality possible.
NOTE: Our Ram 1500 was not equipped with the Infinity factory audio sound system. If you have the infinity audio system, the door speaker only plays mid-bass (no tweeter frequencies), so any standard coaxial will not perform as it should - a component speaker set is what is needed (like in the video).
This video applies to Dodge Ram models for years 2006, 2007, and 2008. In addition, this install includes how to remove the factory door panel, wire and install the speakers, and testing.

I just learned that you can use the strippers mid wire without cutting the conductor. Thanks.
Looking forward to doing this in my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins 3rd generation
Thanks bro. Love your video.
Good video thanks ✌️
Thx.
If dash doesn't have speakers can't u use coaxial or triaxl in the door and rear
Hey does truck wiring harness that plugs into stock unit have additional wires for tweeters even though it doesn’t have infinity system. Thank you
Haven't seen bass blockers used in a long time. I luv them hard to find, though. Since every one uses DSP's now
Crossovers are still very common, and most speakers have passive crossovers already integrated into the speaker itself. Most component sets will still have crossovers. "Bass Blockers" are still around as well, but again, they are really frequency filters (to put it plainly).
Can I add tweeters even if I have coaxial in front and rear doors
Do you have a video to remove the speakers in the rear pillars on a regular cab?
Holdup.. provo, as in Utah? This was the first vid that popped up when I searched, but if you guys are in the same city as me I’ll just pay y’all to do it hahaha
Hello I have been Alpine fan from way back. I’m looking for A Alpine stereo unit that will go good with these speakers. They compliment each other. I would like one with CD player and blue tooth. I know Alpine doesn’t build ones with CD but maybe find a new old stock unit or a comparable unit from another brand. Thank you for any assistance.I have a 2004 Dodge 2500 crewcab pickup
hey Joseph, send us a message on facebook and we can help you with those suggestions.
What cords color cords are positive and negative on the stock door speakers for the viewers that tap them off and don’t use adapters
Passenger door blue stripe is positive and yellow stripe is negative
So no amp is needed correct?
An amp is always an added benefit. Not needed, but highly recommended.
@@ProvoBeastAudio can you do a video like the one before but adding the amp as well?
@@danielquiroz8294 I have a sub amp install video coming up soon. You can use the same technique for a 4 channel amp, the only difference would be the speaker amped output from your amplifier will go back up to your harness adapter in the dash
