Thanks for the video. I replaced all my door speakers in my 2019 Ram 2500 after watching your videos and what a difference it made. I have the stock 6 speaker system and I could not believe the sound difference. My 3 1/2" will be in next week. Thanks again.

i replaced all 6 speakers too. the front door speakers need to be shallow mount. after the install i was blown away by how much better the music sounded. i used all POWERBASS and have loved them.

11/10/21 i just finished installing my set of JBL GT& 6x9 speakers on all four doors, and i would like to think the poster of this video and his recommendation of the speaker adapter wires my installation went great, yet i was a little scared but i got the job done and very happy .

Just swapped all my speakers out with the same speakers you have. 4 door speakers and 2 dash speakers replaced all with infinity speakers. Sound difference is night and day. Significantly more bass and the clarity is much much better.

I'm barely getting around to upgrading my speakers and it sucks that I missed out on the $72/pair pricing. @@MotorHead18 damn bro. I just put the dash speakers in and they sound really good. So good that my door speakers now sound like shit and I have to drop another $250+ to catch them up!! Didn't think them little speakers would make a difference, but wow. Worth it.

I have an 08 ram 1500 with the infinity audio system. Do I have to bypass the factory amp to upgrade my factory speakers. I already have a double din pioneer running the factory amp.

Not yet! But I definitely want to. With the upgraded rears and dash infinity speakers, I have to finish the front to compliment the entire system!

Subscribed! Same truck almost. 14 ram 2500 long bed big horn. How’s the bass now? Seems like every time I replace factory speakers the bass is worse. But these stock speakers SUCK in rams

I wouldn't mind that!
I don't know much but I don't think the paper speakers could handle much amp. Also, from personal experience, great bass with crap mids and high's makes for an overall mediocre sound and system. If you're trying to have better sound on the cheap, I'd do the subs and then quickly save for good miss and high's. Happy bumping!

So I’m curious, is this speaker upgrade really so much better than stock? My stock system on my ‘09 1500 sounds fantastic (with the exception of the door panels rattling) so I’m wondering if it’s worth it to do this upgrade vs get some subs
Get the rear door speakers for mids and subs for some BASS!

Crazy crazy good review! I've tried to focus on suspension on my new (to me) truck and enjoy your truck videos and stumbled across this by accident after one of your truck vids and it brought back and reminded me of my love for quality sound! I ordered the dash speakers right after finishing your video. I am saving up for Fox 2.0s for the front and rear of my 15 Ram 2500 6.4L gas truck but plan to buy front and rear door speakers after my Fox's are paid for.
My question is this: you bought and highly recommend the 9623 IX 6x9's. What about the 9633 IX's? Do they need an amp or are they too big to fit in the Rams or what? ¹/¹⁶" difference in the 2 models. If they would provide a little better bass in the rear door speakers I'd rather get them but I don't have an amp and am using a touch screen head unit of some kind. I'm guessing the 9633's need an amp so that's why you went with the 23's? (Although crutchfield website didn't specify a minimum wattage for the 33's)

6x9s are good to go. Honestly, an amp will maximize your dollar for the speakers, but the upgraded speakers are a significant upgrade. I would run the new speakers first and see if they foot the bill without an amp.

I believe so, but I would double check. They should have very similar interiors.

Yes, your stock radio will still be compatible. You get more bang for your buck out of your new speakers if you upgrade your radio (head unit) though.
Did you order everything off Amazon and was the door panel going back on just as easy as it came off?
Yup everything from Amazon with the links provided in the description. Door panel slipped right on in with no issues
Any clearance issues as far as mounting depth, also any issues with reinstalling the door panel over the new speaker? I kno some of the newer speakers sit ah little higher over stock.
Didn't have any issues with these. Can't go wrong with them!

louder and deeper, yes! It went from a 4 to a 7 in quality

Just replacements! Much better quality though and pump better tubes out without installation of an amp.

I installed these the other day and they sound great. Only question is what direction did u have the tweeter facing? I noticed they are on a little slant so if you install with the wire connection facing down, the tweeter faces to the rear. Does this even make a difference?
David O I didn’t pay any attention to it but they didn’t look crazy when I installed them. So I guess it really doesn’t matter. I’m still loving mine!
Depends on if you want them facing the front stage or towards the backseat passengers.

@M2XTalks I eneded up putting two in. The infinitys made such a different. I replaced the back door speakers as well with infinitys.
Dude excellent review. I have the 2016 Chrysler 300. Same factory speakers. I was going to get the JBL gto even tho they are made by the same company I think the infinity reference 9632ix is clearer and less distortion and cheaper. They recommend infinity for my dash so imma do those In the door and rear deck. Appreciate it. May add a 4 channel amp later. Any ideas?
No ideas just yet, I would just match a quality amp with quality speakers bro.

Sounds more uniform. Still isn't the best due to the lacking head unit, but its definitely better.
I also upgraded my door speakers to my 2012 Ram 1500 but it still lacked louder volume due to the head unit not producing enough juice so I did some research and found the Alpine KTP-445U Power Pack. Its essentially a mini amp that installs behind the stereo and man... it greatly improved the sound on my door speakers. I recommend it.

Mike Leguate I installed these yesterday and I notice that my rears are louder than the rest of the vehicle. I’ll be replacing the front corners to compliments the sound. It’s worth mentioning that their is a DM button on these speakers so before you put the door back together makes sure u set it where u like it.
