I have the same speakers but in the dash speakers I put blockers on them I have the base and trouble on default, but I heard them crackling cutting out so I added the bass blockers for the dash speakers fixed issue
I did the same setup Only difference is I bought the component 6x9 and used that woofer in the front door as to not have so many tweeters. In the rear I used the 2 way 6x9s they sale
How hard was it to connect the Xover to the tweeter? Was it as simple as finding the dash wire in the door, or did you run a new wire to the dash from the xover? Like this idea as thinking it would be really bright with so many tweeters.
@abelscaliber7969 did you use the tweeters with the components? I considered putting the tweeters in the dash. I just put the same infinity 3ch speakers from this video and don’t love them. The sound sounds a little funky to me
nice set up i just up graded my 3500 ram with jbl 9637f in the front and jbl 9637gx in the rear, and they thump pretty good. haven't given them much juice yet as they are still breaking in. i couldn't do the fronts because i ordered the same infinity tweets for the front, but some pecker head bought them previously and swapped their shitty stock ones in the box and did a return on them and they werent checked. so i just ordered jbl club 34 for the fronts, gotta say for a stock head unit the 8.4 uconnect actually power's them half decently
Did you door speaker screws pinch the outer rubber of the speaker when you put them back? I saw a different video where the guy grinding down the screws so that it would touch the rubber
The biggest thing I’ve noticed is that they are incredibly clear. Everything seems better compared to stock, but I’m a completely novice with audio stuff so beyond that I couldn’t tell you, haha. Happy with them though!!
I have the headliner speakers and I’ve yet talked to someone who has done it or been able to find a video of someone replacing theirs before I do mine… have you ??
I have droning when I drive, how do I stop that? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I bought all the same stuff and I don't know why I have the droning.
I didn’t have the alpines beforehand to compare it with so I honestly can’t say. My primary reason for replacement was a door speaker blowout, and it’s a brand I trust.

Thanks for sharing! Luckily didn’t have that issue (or at least didn’t notice it), haha.
Omg thank you I have the same issue too !

That makes sense, I was surprised at how straightforward the install was!

That sounds like a great setup!

Not that I remember, I didn’t grind any screws, just reassembled it the way I took it off
Thanks man...
Glad I could help!
The old speaker have some silicone or glue to the door do you apply silicone to the new ones?
I did not directly to the speaker, but did put a few dabs on the plastic sheet on the door to seal it better
How do they sound? You get decent bass/ lows from them?

this is what/how me and my brother did ours....ua-cam.com/video/2JjNkmyQdew/v-deo.html&ab_channel=donearl
You forgot the ones on the headliner in the back
Higher trim model might have them, but my truck only has the 6 speaker system. Thanks for the feedback though!

I thought the dash speaker is tweeter only. Your new speaker has small woofer as well. Did the tweeter still sound alright?
Yup sounded great. Just went with the recommendation online through crutchfield.
Do you have an ANC module in your truck? Do you get any droning?
That’s the silver box under the drivers seat if you have it
Just did the speakers, no droning. Not sure about the box, sold the truck a few months ago so I can’t check it now unfortunately

@@bjiuce1ANC bypass. I googled it and you can find them pretty much anywhere online
Hey bud, from what you can remember. Did you have the stock alpines or no alpine?
No alpine, just the base level 6 speaker system
Would you say these are even better than the alpines? I’m looking to get more clear/louder speakers.
I didn’t have the alpines beforehand to compare it with so I honestly can’t say. My primary reason for replacement was a door speaker blowout, and it’s a brand I trust.
How is the sound with the upgrade? Good bass and highs for what it is? Better than stock? Thank you
I thought it was an improvement. Just seemed more “clear” to me, honestly
