I remember that I heavily abused this rule. In my local area, people just copied the designs from the top Chinese teams and EVERYONE’s robot was the same. It made the matches so boring, so I decided to shake things up… with a wall bot. Everyone’s autonomous would leave them sitting in their corners, so I would quickly run over and deploy my wall around them. I used a scissor lift type of design with hundreds of rubber bands and the only thing that would keep the thing from expanding naturally was if it was held parallel to the ground and its own weight (steel) was able to hold it. But I had it on an axel and if the wall turned even slightly, it would come shooting out with a massive thud as it hit the wall. It was so strong that I had hurt myself multiple times during practice when I was in its way. I would position myself so that I was on the inside of the towers around the opponents’s score zone and one of the robots. The towers made sure that they could not push me out of the way no matter what they did. No matter how hard they pushed, they could never escape, unless their teammate helped push in the opposite direction further up the wall, but at that point they had no body scoring for a good chunk of time, so it was still worth it even if he escaped. In some incredible moments, I could even trap both of the opponents robots or block them from the corners and it would allow for an extremely easy win. Now before something says, “You can’t trap, it’s against the rules.”, I didn’t actually break the rule because “trapping” technically only counts if the robots area is 1 tile or less and the opponent had roughly 1 1/2 tile square area.
This will be my first year in robotics and I am really excited, my brother was in it so I know kinda the basics but I am so eager to learn and start a new journey
Do you think you'll ref? I graduated last year and reffed a couple events this year, it's great to be able to see all the cool designs and gameplay without having to stress over whether the lift can actually lift things or if there's really time to swap out that motor before the next match.
RIP me. My final for this semester will be winning a competition against 17 other teams by doing this competition but the cubes assigned colors to teams, balls are the only things that can go into towers. And the 2 towers and cube areas across from the spawns are in an autonomous zone where we cant cross that line unless the robot is in autonomous mode
So, does that mean if you stack cubes in a single tower that the point keeps increasing? So if we put 2 green cubes in 1 tower the green cubes are now worth 3 points each?
I don't know about the app, but Vex U is for students that graduated from high school, and VRC is for current middle and high school, I'm pretty sure. Hope this helps.
You can take opponents blocks out of their goal, right? Or are they finalized when they're in the goal, also I can only imagine that 1 annoying team that is going to make a robot specifically to de-basket cubes
New colours!? But my brain is hardwired to only see red and blue, this is to overwhelming.

FIRST: Am I a joke to you?

My thing is if it ah to be played on the new system

This is gonna give me flashbacks to In The Zone when the towers accidentally fall over
Honestly!
Luckily they screw the towers this season lmaoooo
@@samsara2194 Not according to my team ;)
The amount of clawbots that will be in this though
Good luck
ours is gonna be a big cube XD
I've only seen a couple clawbots. This competition seems to have favored stackers with rolling intakes.
After actually watching the competition live, the pointing makes more sense. It definitely helps to see it in action. Thanks Vex!
This is going to be an insane game. Good luck everyone!
This game is going to be played underwater, right?
You now it is.
water game confirmed
Yes they had that every where at world's
No. I'm doing this in middle school
No it's not
Finally, we have been waiting for this!
welp, 4bar/reverse 4bar lifts are coming back hard this year.
Yeet
Yous wos wrong s
Alright I've only been counting every second, it's finally here
This year is going to be interesting. Good luck everyone!!
Skyrise round 2: Electric Boogaloo
2025B - Fun isn't something one considers when balancing these Minecraft cubes. But this... does put a smile on my face.
I'm just an frc kid, but this seems pretty neat
Same here
Me too
This will be my first year in robotics and I am really excited, my brother was in it so I know kinda the basics but I am so eager to learn and start a new journey
Props to you guys
SAME
The announcement for this at world's was AWESOME!!
That's crazy! I wish I wasn't graduating this year so I could do this one! That looks so fun!

This looks LIT!
I can’t wait, this is going to be so cool
YES! LOOKS AMAZING
Can't wait to begin
There's a DRow for GDC sticker on the brain! just noticed this at the end of my rookie season...
this was a good one.
Thanos Cubes
bruh
Exciting Season!
thank you vex very cool
Who's hyped for next year tournament?
This is going to be my first year and I’m already freaking out
It's alright, mine too, and we have had to squish in extra build days.
lol me too
Wishing everyone good luck this year from team 10622D
I just did this competition and we got second, were going.to regionals
yeah we are going to the regionals in our country in 15. We got third
thank you, very cool
This is so great.
Yaaa im so excited
Good luck people it looks interesting
This reminds me of the year with the cones a little bit. Also it’s weird seeing other colors besides the red and blue
Water games looking great!
When the game was announced live I thought the towers were filled with water.
I saw this live last night at worlds
So cool
do you guys think turning point is more easy to win the match or this year game?
LET'S GO!!!!
Elegant!
1:59 - 2:04 thats one epic auto
RIP me. This looks cool. Best of luck from 54744A.
Good Luck Teams :D
woah this actually looks like a really good, indepth game... I see a ton of de scoring in the future
Letssss gooooo!!!!!
Let’s go Bois !
I see DRow for GDC
Agreed
Pretty neat
This looks interesting
At 2:23 it shows DRow for DGC on the v5 screen
Cool
Yay
why is this game so colorful
Great
Awesome but way more difficult than next level
EPIC
이거 멋지다!
i hope theres more games like this on hudgames
Every year it just gets more interesting... too bad I down do VEX anymore :(
ITS OUT BOIIIIS
What are the sizes requirement in each robots for tower takeover?
Not a fan of claw bots really...but this is gonna be a good game👍 good luck coming from 99208 (broken bow)
Greatest 2 minutes in robotics because if it was 2.5 minutes it would be a lie
How is everyone disposing the cubes? Can we send them back somehow?
Yessss
AAAAAAA YEEEESSSSS
lets do this
Interesting. Changing point values?
So, does that mean if you stack cubes in a single tower that the point keeps increasing? So if we put 2 green cubes in 1 tower the green cubes are now worth 3 points each?
Heh. The cubes have to be INSIDE the tower. This means the 2nd green cube will do nothing.
What model is the robot used in this video called?
oh yes
So where do you put the water?
Do u know how different between vex u and skill in VRC hub app? And why are they separate in the app?
I don't know about the app, but Vex U is for students that graduated from high school, and VRC is for current middle and high school, I'm pretty sure. Hope this helps.
The robot at 2:22 says "D ROW" drow for GDC? lol
Where’s all the water? Good luck to all from 11691A
There goes my sanity...
What is the limit to cubes allowed to be picked up, or is there not one?
I'm pretty sure there is no limit, but you don't want to be picking up any more than 8 (for balance)
When will the iq one come out
You can take opponents blocks out of their goal, right? Or are they finalized when they're in the goal, also I can only imagine that 1 annoying team that is going to make a robot specifically to de-basket cubes
well, the main goals have a protected area, so I don't think so(but you could always take cubes out of neutral towers >:D)
MAXIMUM SHOOK
Ohhhh... I was unimpressed, until you twisted it. This will be very interesting.
I’m participating in this
Same
Purple Cubes OP
Sicko
Wow
Is VRC different from EDR or are they the same thing?
VRC is also only for Middle and High School, I'm pretty sure.
Ooo my god why no water game
wow...
Hope to see you at world's. -6024D, The InCOGnitos.

What about SeaPerch?
But is DRow on GDC now?
What's the background music
