In retrospect, VEX kinda screwed up the value of the mobile goals in proportion to the rings, it caused so many teams to just build simple lifter bots that are way more OP than in previous years
I would like to thank RECF for sticking to their posted schedule, and for keeping the match cycle times in the overall finals bracket as low as possible. I would also like to thank RECF for making sure that no teams cheated during the championship, even though there was a VF thread discussing ways to do it. I would finally like to thank RECF for making the online worlds such an amazing experience even though the Asia-Pacific divisions were not live-streamed and it was hard to find some of the divisional match streams.
Pretty cool, just makes me wish covid wouldn't have stopped my team from going to words back with Tower Takeover. And now Change Up was a scratch too because of covid. Good luck to all the teams this year, hopefully everything can go back to normal soon and everyone can get to compete.
in the zone style robots maybe? change cone stacking to a hook or scoopy thing, and maybe some focus on a lighter robot to more easily balance on the seesaw
I am excited. I just hope I do it. My team is 3547 R. When covid came our team broke up. Also, we didn't go to World's. But i hope i can convince my friends to come back. To play the 2021/2022 game. Wish me luck.
Imagine not making it to worlds because your teammates shoves a goal under the platform WHERE YOU'RE BALANCED WITH A GOAL MAKING YOU LOOSE THE QUARTERFINALS
The rules are wayy over complicated. The idea and initiative are really cool, but i'd like do see something that values fine control even more, and somehow fight for a goal. Everybody knows humanoid fist fighting mechs will be the ultimate sport :B
Ok let's be honest, this is In the zone with extra steps Still looking forward to how the tournaments go, should be interesting seeing them balance and reach those ring posts
tipping point is actually the first game to have 2 alain aces fight for objects other games like tower takeover and in the zone all all about getting to the top or the most things or objects faster than the opposing allaince
I love this and have a rly good idea of what to make, but my school stopped supporting vex this year, so, can’t participate. I can still build with the things at home, just can’t go to league nights and tournaments with a full team
I’m actually disappointed the balance bridges aren’t the auto bonus point condition like it was in FTC back in 2011 Get Over It autonomous balancing was a fun challenge
other game like this are like put as many balls as you can in 1 min games like tipping point is better becuase you have bots that fight over the object not race to get the most or the tallest
When VEX actually makes a good game right after Change Up, even though half of us are going to graduate this year.
Ikr I'm on the side of graduation 😭
and also does it the year where many are doing remote schooling and cant do robotics (me)
same with iq bro rise above was 🗑
Last year's wasn't bad
what good game?
The community asked for a more complicated game, they got it.
Why did this have to be my first year
This seems much more overly complicated then last years, I like it
that title is stolen by spin up lmao
@@cedricthinakaran914 fr
I definitely think that getting the scoring things, where you put the rings, is the most important part. Those things score crazy amounts of points
Umm I disagree I think winning the game is more important! But respect your opinion
@@cloud-rl9cc "the object of the game is to get more points than the opponent"
You would be correct about that. Comment aged pretty well
i feel like the mobile goals are most important, having both neutral goals gives you a huge advantage
Still no water game? Real unfortunate.
Been hoping for a water game since I was a senior in 2012, don’t think John Vex is gonna deliver:(
On the bright side parts are less liley to get damaged. Unfortunate for them win for my team who is broke asf
First year of robotics, 6th grade and I got to states sooooooo happy! Having lost of fun with spin up. Continue the good work!
2 years in a row the game has been leaked beforehand lol
I love how they memed water game and fire game on the livestream
In retrospect, VEX kinda screwed up the value of the mobile goals in proportion to the rings, it caused so many teams to just build simple lifter bots that are way more OP than in previous years
I agree
The current meta is holding 2 goals the whole game while getting rings in your alliance goal.
@@chad7917 which is exactly what we built. and so did 70% of other teams

This competition gives me so much In The Zone vibes
This is so much more complicated than last year.
I feel bad for all of the teams just starting out this year.
@@tkjk0481 was thinking the exact same thing
@@tkjk0481 this will be my second time!
A couple of my friends had their first year during this game. They got to worlds lmao
Pretty cool, just makes me wish covid wouldn't have stopped my team from going to words back with Tower Takeover. And now Change Up was a scratch too because of covid. Good luck to all the teams this year, hopefully everything can go back to normal soon and everyone can get to compete.
This actually looks like a really fun game to play. Well done vex!
in the zone style robots maybe? change cone stacking to a hook or scoopy thing, and maybe some focus on a lighter robot to more easily balance on the seesaw
This whole mode took inspiration from in the zone
So excited, this is going to be super fun! Good luck to everyone!
Man this video was so helpful!!!! My kid is in robotics and he is very exited for this years competition. Let’s go tigers!!!

Greatest 2 min in robotics
First! So excited for this challenge
anyone else love how scuffed the example bots are lmao
Thts how i love my bots all beat up and scratched lol
Wow nice game Vex Robotics it would be exciting to see what people come up with this year👍😁
I bet some team is gonna use their tipping point robot for high stakes
I want to grab all the bins and just run onto the platform with them and stay there
This seems super fun! The robot designs are gonna be so creative
Damn I wish I could still do VEX cuz this looks so cool....
SHEEEEEEEEEEEESH NEW GAME🥶🥶🥶
I've always liked fruit loops
I just made the team in my school... what should I expect
Lots of problems don’t expect anything to work the first time u do it ideas that sound dumb actually works
This looks really cool, 1460K approves!
When a 4 motor drive alone can score around 60 points...
Because 60 points is so much in this game lol
The rules are wayy over complicated. The idea and initiative are really cool, but i'd like do see something that values fine control even more, and somehow fight for a goal. Everybody knows humanoid fist fighting mechs will be the ultimate sport :B
Good luck everybody!
High stakes uncooked ☠
Are the rings made of plastic or foam?
Honestly the best game and I love the complexity
nice!
Edit:Do you know specific date for iq coming out?
best game so far good job rec foundation
Our teams are already meeting and planning! It's awesome!
How long does your team usually meet?
Ok let's be honest, this is In the zone with extra steps
Still looking forward to how the tournaments go, should be interesting seeing them balance and reach those ring posts

I'm hyped lets go

This year I joined robotics class and my first comp is gonna be on the 29th 😃
Update, my robot is messed up so I cannot compete 😔
Ayy, new game. Also first here 36 minutes after it came out :).
is there any discord yall want to talk about the game in
Better than last year for sure
im the driver for my teams robot, and it cant even put rings on the goals. It barely can lift a mobile goal. I dont know if this is good.
Should I be scared or excited?
Yo this is actually pretty cool, better than change up
In the zone + Ringmaster = Tipping point
Hyped!
Bruh my competition is tommorrow and I don't even know if my team finished putting the arms on (I wasnt there today)
Does it have to fit in 18 by 18?
Hi my lavonte golston iam 27 years old complete in the vex robotics tournament
Wall bots are going to be cracked this year
omg this looks so amazing
This year I will hopefully win in the state of Mississippi
first year and im very scared to do this but oh well :___:
This is going to be so much better than Change Up
Nice mix of Round Up and Rebound Rumble.
Is the comments section broken? How is there no comments?
I’m actually disappointed the balance bridges aren’t the auto bonus point condition like it was in FTC back in 2011 Get Over It autonomous balancing was a fun challenge
Awesome looking game. Bring on the new season!
Looks fun!
I'm so hyped

This game is gonna be amazing
So what are all of you guys planning on making this year
Can’t wait!!!
so how many points would having one robot and one mobile goal on the balance
This looks fun!
hey does anyone know the height of the upper branch
Best of luck to my fellow Montanans, all but one from the same school. Go Wolfpack!
not water polo :(
I saw this happening 2 weeks ago
I’m so excited
What happens is a goal is on its side and there are rings on the hooks. Will they get counted or not counted???
If it does count, that might make a good strategy!
Edit: it does not count if it is touching the floor
2:41 how you wear a mask
good luck teams
Who else misses this easy game where you could just build a lift bot?
My worst nightmare. A dr4br game
No comments?
What about water game?
Isn't this just In The Zone 2?
why is it just ultimate goal tho
Anyone else watching this at 12am?
I love rowbops!
Me too! We have so much in common.
If the goal falls down in your zone, do you still get the points?
If the base is yes
As long as any part of the base is within the home zone
why do you do us like this again i didnt like ringmaster now this😭😭😭
I can tell a lot of people are going to make wheels out of the rings as a joke
This is so cool
Good luck
Turing point + in the zone
This is gonna be interesting....
I’ll take anything but change up
Last competition I built my first robot off scematic
