    I would personally be wary of a stack that high falling over. even with the twine/rope, I feel like that design might go bad really quick with a push

    I feel like
    1. The stack is too heavy to lift/move.
    2. The blocks would somehow squeeze out through the middle when moved.

    Why not create some tension between the top double extender arms and the rope dispenser to move the center of mass back into/towards the center. (Rubber bands maybe.) therefore, the largest the stack gets, the more tension is created.

    You would need a massive weight in the base of the robot for that to work but great idea with the ropes!, I’d also think a simple claw wouldn’t be able to hold it and you would need something to support the cubes under

  • @wentinnliao5393
    @wentinnliao5393 5 років тому

    I think the tilt can be fixed with an internal reverse 4 bar, keep the entire structure, but remove the bar on the connecting the two opposite sides of the 4 bar. Then connect the claw on the inside of the robot, at the center, so its like the cubes are going inside. Its probably going to be really tight spacing, but it can work

    Few issues- any type of band or tubing that you use for the stacker would most likely snap when picking up that amount of blocks, and if you have one large enough, it will sag when not being stretched.
    - The weight would be very extreme and may cause the robot to tip. Will need a very strong chassis with lots of weight towards the back end, which could be an issue when not carrying stacks.
    - the vrc game has lots of ruled allowing people to 'ram' into your robot, causing the robot to tip or lose all of the stack. Any simple bump can cause the band to snap
    - all that weight can cause the motors for the lift to over-heat (I have had that problem with the edr 393 motors)
