- My really quick and dirty video showing what I think of the new game, and trying to talk through some of the questions I had when the game came out. It looks pretty fun, and could be a really unique game.

Wait for both opponents to be on one side of field. WALL THEM OFF AND THEN THEY CANT DO ANYTHING
The two cubes in the alliance stations are preloads right?
Yup
yes. but unlike turning point you don’t have to put them in at the beginning.
I’m thinking a robot that has an intake similar to robots from relic recovery, or maybe one of the older vex games
@Mark Finley U could use that or use internal stackers like FRC Recycle Rush where u can stack many cubes inside your robot and them deposit them into the scoring goals.
Also I think a square cupo mod bot will work. Especially since it makes it less likely that stacks u control fall.
how many cubes can be manipulated at a time
Vortex5310 as many as you can
GaVIN??? IS THAT YOU???
And how big is the stacking area
Oluwamayowa Esan thanks so much
Who a 6 bar with an intake claw work good on this game
Dr4B with Conveyor Belt intake will be the meta
Okay so I just wanted to clarify because I have no idea how to work vex forums- when they say enemy robots can't interact with your goals, does that mean they can't steal cubes from them?
Yep.
Can you do a vex guide to cascade lift?
The problem with cascades is that they are 2 slow
Not with v5 TURBO CARTRIDGES
lol
In one word: dont. The reason vex doesn't is because u can't get good linear slides with good bearings and I'm not 100% sure but I think a lot of good slides string is illegal so u gotta use chains. I could be wrong on the last point tho.
My team is attempting this. Yes it is slow but it can be useful for scoring towers. Depending on your claw design that will dictate what you will be trying to do. A Cascade lift takes a lot of r&d so if you're on a time crunch I would suggest not to build it but if you have time go for it, prove it can be done.
There is an auton line
@Oluwamayowa Esan Yeah lol it is a good implementation for auton. It really made auton easy to mess up by just ramming
Yeah he says it's there
so....power up but smaller without a scale/switch. ok im in
How heavy are the cubes?
Hi. I just wanna ask that is there size for the robot
Oluwamayowa Esan so is it bigger than the turning point?
Sam Vu no
@Oluwamayowa Esan so how high for each pole( highest, the 4 polein the field and the color pole for each side)?
Oluwamayowa Esan thanks so much bro
Oluwamayowa Esan I can’t find how many motors can we use for the robot in the competition?
I’m expecting a lot of speedy claw bots
*quickly stuffs claw bot in corner
We had 0 autons at words. Sad times
We got to nationals, were in second, then THE OTHER TEAM PINNED US FOR FIFTEEN SECONDS and somehow got away with it
Are we allowed to remove the enemy blocks from the neutral towers?
Descoring is allowed for the neutral goals.
Thank you!
So what are the initial sizes of the robots in tower takeover?
The initial robots must fit within an 18x18x18 inch cube.
@@KeplerElectronics what about in colleges devision? Does it apply the same sizes?
The college division requires teams to build two robots, one must fit within a 24” cube, the other within a 15” cube.
For EDR, It's 18 x 18 x 18. Doesn't matter once you start driving, though. Don't know why you'd need to go bigger for autonomous. Not sure for other divisions, though.
@@pixels4331 A lot of tray stackers for this year have antitip bars that extend behind the bot during autonomous to prevent them from flipping over, along with a lot of teams having flip-out rollers that need to go beyond size to actually grab cubes.
Uh. Do u guys know how to make the cascade lift faster?
Break the rules and use drawer slides.
*BREAK THE RULESSSS*
Unless you're going to anything above state. Don't recommend that.
I wanted a water game
YES WATER ON THE V5SSSSSSSS
Is it legal to shoot a cube to knock over someone elses stack
Interesting... Interesting... But u may be disqualified for trying to remove game objects from the field
I asked about this and your not aloud to mess with the opponents tower in any way at all
Is there a hoarding rule, if not this game will be annoying
No there is not he even mentioned that the strat will probably be just getting as many cubes as possible into your protected zone and then doing cleanup. That combined with the wall bot potential is scary.
The best hoarding "rule", is just about no knocking over opposite alliance stacks. As well as no more than one cube per tower.
Breath’nt
Water game
oh you went to worlds? what division were you in?
I was in research, it was a bit of a rough tournament, but watching the finals and talking to teams was incredibly fun.
you we're in research!? aw you should have said something or came by our table, we were set up next to the queueing line for research. whats your team number?
Kepler Electronics I was in research too, I’m 2854B what was your record/rank
wait, you guys are the ones who entangled us in qual 48 research with exobytes and hopkinetics. lol
Cykaraptor 7701x yah we got disqualified for that because apparently if you have a rubber band intake you “take responsibility for entanglement”. It’s dumb though bc your team ran into us 😂
