- In honor of Over the Garden Wall's 3 year anniversary, here's my piano medley of its beautiful soundtrack! It contains songs such as "Into The Unknown", "Potatoes and Molasses", "Patient is the Night" and more. Full tracklist is below. Enjoy!

Over the Garden Wall was something really, really special. Arguably one of the best productions ever on Cartoon Network, with its intriguing atmosphere and fascinating characters. Then there's the music, of course! I covered the main theme a while back, but I've wanted to do a piano medley for a while now. Originally I was going to post it on Halloween, but I wasn't able to make that deadline. Oh well, I hope you like it anyway! Let me know what you think.

SHEETS: I did this by ear, so I don't have the sheets for the whole medley. However, I've already transcribed my arrangement of "Into The Unknown" a while ago, you can download that on my website!

Also, thanks to the local school for letting me play on their grand piano. I just knew that for this one, recording on a grand was absolutely necessary!

over the garden wall perfectly captures That Fall and October/Halloween feeling We Get That we Cannot Describe but we know it so vivedly
It literally welcomes the fall for me. Like if it feels right to be watching it then it's officially fall.
@Auggie Ciorra Fall is my favorite season. It's crisp with a musty undertone, golden brown precursor to the stark winter to come... It's heavy and cheerful, delightful and frightening, adventurous and homely, cold yet warm.

I love over the garden wall. Even though it was only a mini-series, it still was magical.
That's the quality of a great series, it leaves you wanting more while still giving closure. I'm glad it never risked overstaying its welcome.

I can only share your feeling. There was just... Something with it.
honestly i think mini series's impress me more than long runners. Typically all the episodes combined run the time of a short movie- its awesome how much they fit into a ten minute episode! Instead of watching a new episode just because you enjoy the series, you watch the next knowing youll actually learn something new. Mini series's cant really afford fillers, and i like that.

I loved the part where Greg and Wirt are on the wooden boat, sailing through the foggy pond. It’s a really calming moment. It’s beautiful and eerily but compellingly quiet. All there is the forest and them, nothing else. No worries about grades, or work, or living. It’s just them.
My favorite moment in the whole series and probably ever 🥺 like a brief moment of happines and calm before facing the unknown and all it's nightmares once again

Note: Ok so potatoes & molasses is copy & pasted because its just way too long and so was patient is the night but I did all the rest by myself. Timestamps obviously came from description.
The soundtrack whisks you away to a faraway land where pumpkin patches grow and blue birds fly. Whimsical and wanderlust-inducing, this series takes your hand as you follow it into the Unknown. So much *love* for it.

The main song always makes me want to cry. Just the uncertainty of the futures of characters we fell in love with in such a short amount of time. How it's over and we will never know anything more. How times were different when we first watched this masterpiece of a show.
Over The Garden Wall was such a cute mini series it reminds of Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, and a old fashioned nursery rhyme book put into a short animated series... The ending of the series scared me. One, the bad guy was literally a Wendigo... Basically a Wendigo is a supernatural monster that eats human flesh, two, both of the main characters almost died... Good Piano play though
The Otome Otaku Horror Fan but the beast didnt eat human flesh technically it was human souls that was required for burning the lantern. The beast didnt eat anyone just devoured souls of the lost

I'm sorry... ; _ ; even if you know everything it's still a good series to watch...
Lol, the beast was supposed to represent the devil since the Unknown was meant to mimic Dante’s Inferno, but now that I think of it, he did have an uncanny resemblance to a Wendigo... only, he devoured souls instead of flesh and was smarter than your average Forest Demon.

in the last little part of into the unknown, the Bb7 chord just hammers home the feeling of fall

this was so beautifully done, and I'm really happy because I've been listening to the soundtrack on repeat for weeks now, and recently rewatched the whole series. I'm glad it's still relevant even though it came out a few years ago. Thanks for the music from my favorite animated series ever!
Finally made the time to watch this last year, and loved it. I'm so glad I have a new tradition each autumn. I've been waiting for the first day that "feels like fall", then I'll be watching it over and over until December lol. The music in particular is perfect, and this medley was great!
