- About time I got around to this one - here's my PIANO MEDLEY of the soundtrack to HOLLOW KNIGHT! I really love this game and its music. This medley contains songs like "Greenpath", "City of Tears", "Mantis Lords", "Hornet" and others. Full tracklist below!

When I started playing Hollow Knight a few months ago, Christopher Larkin's music has quickly become one of my favorite game soundtracks. With Silksong coming out soon-ish, hopefully, I thought this soundtrack would lend itself very well to a medley! I had a lot of fun making it, let me know what you think.

The Greenpath is absolutely fantastic. Especially the part when it becomes intense, in piano version you can really feel it

A week from my music practical exam I realized I needed one more song to play. I don't think there's any song I could learn better than one of the one's I've heard time and time again, so Queen's gardens has always carried a special weight for me. If I hadn't wandered around the hidden grove between the fog canyon and greenpath, I very likely would have failed my music exam, so thanks Christopher Larkin

We have a music department where you can take music and you have to perform a minimum of I think 2 songs on 2 instruments that add up to about 7 minutes
Our school has a piano, so I chose to go for that, and me being a dumbass didn’t time my pieces and found out the week before my exam I had to learn another song to make it 7 minutes so I learned queens gardens

@@incineration-henry4560 Im a little late but whatever. In my country everyone in the junior grades had to take music class, and every semester we would have music theory exam and practical exam. For practical exam you can choose to sing or play an instrument. This is in Malaysia btw.
I Remember the first time I entered greenpath, the overall level design, and the song, makes me feel like a child exploring some forest

You play that piano so wonderfully fluidly. The Mantis Lords is my favorite boss fight in the whole game, it's only competitor is Nightmare King Grimm

Not a hard one, but so great. The music, the fight itself feels harder than it is, so when you complete it it feels so good...
@@Igneusflama Yeah. Even if they aren't extremely fast, just the atmosphere makes it seem super fast and intense and you feel like a beast.
... I loved Mantis Lords but hated NKG. Hornet is my favorite fight by far though
The Mantis Lords was the first boss that made me feel like I could kick ass. NKG had the opposite effect haha. Both great

Yeah, I was really trying to include "White Palace" as well (it's one of my favorites on the OST) but in the end some songs just don't fit anywhere in a medley. But thanks, glad you liked it!

I love how in mantis lords you play this fast and sharp notes that sound like a dragonfly's wings buzzing
this is one of the strongest games i have ever played. The music, the atmosphere and the lore is close to perfection

Through that whole fight, mostly towards the end, I felt horrible.
I have never played the game, nor heard the music. However, this was beautiful. It makes me want to play the game. I also play the piano (videogame music as well hehe) and I know the effort it takes. Congrats for making such an awesome performance!!!

I always go to the godhome to fight the mantis lords because they're just that good. I've gotten so used to beating them, I can do it without even really focusing. I..... congradulate you on the Mantis lords and It's amazing and you're amazing and I wish I had your skill

Those transitions were seamless! You’re an awesome piano player, and some of those faster songs like Mantis Lords were seriously impressive. You deserve all the recognition you get!

this was absolutely incredible. I especially love how you put the theme of the City of Tears after Sealed Vessel- I kept waiting for the Sealed Vessel theme for the chord to finally resolve, for a finality of the notes, but it just kept climbing and climbing and I forgot how to breathe but then you smoothly flowed into the city of tears theme and I felt this wave of- of relief wash over me. Well done. Absolutely well done.
When I played Hollow Knight and listened to specific pieces of music, I instantly wanted to play it on piano. It brought me back to playing piano. Your video also inspires me because I am still a beginner and I want to be able to play a song from my favorite game with the confidence and excellence you show. Amazing work as well!

I'm so close to the ending and I didn't expect such NEW fan material of this stuff especially from one of my fav piano youtubers. I absolutely love the game and this is a great melody. (Mantis Lords had the best fight and best music)

I just got Hollow Knight a week or so ago after hearing so many good things and getting a switch that I can play on and I’m so glad I did! I was worried if I was gonna like it cause I haven’t played a video game (excluding animal crossing) in 5 years but I’m so happy to be proved wrong!
