I just made this! No lie, this is hands down the BEST rice pudding I’ve ever eaten. My mom in law loves rice pudding more than her children and she said this is the best she’s eaten, as well. She’s 85. Thank you so much for this!

@@ICookAndPaint I've made your cinnamon roll recipe, as well. Absolutely excellent! Your instructions are so good on the video itself I don't even need to get the full recipe via a link. Amazing stuff! Please do more because whatever you cook, I'm making it!

Oh my Gosh- I love your videos (& voice). I’ve never been courageous enough to try making my own rice pudding. Years back, working as a nanny, the children’s grandmother ate this every single morning for breakfast. Of course, she made her own! 💞 I appreciate that you show the difference in the rice, too. Thank you 🎨

My 4yr old son is sick with the flu and hasn't had much of an appetite, but he absolutely demolished 2 bowls of this rice pudding! Thanks for sharing!

Yes yes yes!!!! I made rice pudding last week which was not creamy at all. Didnt know about the Italian style, shorter rice. I can't wait to try this. Thank you.

Thanks, always enjoy Rice Pudding so glad for this recipe. Before you add the egg yokes how long should you wait after taking it off the stove to slowly add it to the eggs? Wouldn't want to ruin it after all the time to cook on the stove.
Like the addition of the 2 egg yokes and also the butter. I haven't seen this on any other recipes I followed in the past. Like the old saying goes, you should learn something new everyday.
I always struggled separating eggs using the 2 half shells. I once saw on a video, an easier way for me, to put the whole egg in a small bowl and put a tablespoon in an just scoop out to yoke. Thought I would mention this, if it could help others.
Thanks for all of the recipes you share and your calm and reassuring delivery method.

Thank you so much for these nice comments. I love learning new things every day too! As for adding the egg yolks, you can temper them in immediately after taking it off the heat. The only reason I turn it off while tempering is so the pudding doesn’t burn while separating the eggs :)

this comes at a perfect time! i haven't had rice pudding in years, and for some reason it caught my eye at the store on the weekend.... but the price and bad ingredients weren't worth it for me. I'm going to try this for sure!!.. I might add the cinnamon right in to the whole batch, and maybe some raisins ! Thanks as always paul!

Thanks so much! That sounds so good! Yes I can’t believe how much they charge in the store for just a small amount and it’s so easy to make. Enjoy, Emily!

This recipe is foolproof and I have made it four times since this video, so I know. The type of rice is key. Do not use long grain. That said, the ARBORIO rice I bought was very expensive (it came with a fancy brand name in a clear plastic container) so I looked for a similar looking rice in a bag. Bingo...for 1/3 the price i found medium grain in a bag and worked just as well.

I said I was going to try this and I made it last night. My husband, son and very finicky 13 year old grandson gobbled up half the double batch before it could cool and then took some home. Please everyone , trust this recipe. I'll never try another recipe.
IMPORTANT: the ITALIAN STYLE / ARBORIO is key.
