- Two young children, siblings, are dead after being pulled from the fast-moving waters of a creek in San Bernardino County Tuesday, authorities announced. Mary Beth McDade reports for KTLA 5 News at 10, May 7, 2024.

Have you ever lost a child momentarily, the worst feeling ever because you don't know where to go? It's probably what happened to this lady and lost track of the other one while the 2 year old wandered into the water. Truly heartbreaking.
@@DixiecratDemocrat losing your child at a store or something is totally diff than taking your 2 and 4 year old next to a raging river and turning your back on them they dont kno the dangers of fast moving water and rocks in that water they can bump their head into moving downstream fast. Ok 4 yr old fall in river. Mom is with 2 yr old. Why not think to hold on to the 2 yr old while looking. It's a baby, there is no excuse she can't hold the kid while looking for the 4 yr old. Seem fishy she leaves a 2 yr old alone and he suddenly fall into the same river lmao. She is guilty.
The four year old falls into the water is swept away so she turns away from the two year old? Very suspicious. Watching your child get swept away is extremely traumatic so the last thing you would do is take your eyes off the surviving toddler. I hope this get thoroughly investigated.

I'm very familiar with that area and the river, and even though it is called "Mill Creek" make no mistake, it is a raging river especially at this time of year with the snow melt. Everyone who lives in the area knows this and knows to stay away from it. It is NOT the type of place to take any children regardless of age to wade or play in the water. Even adults are at risk of being swept away. I don't understand what this mother was thinking.

Crazy I was there with my wife and 4 year old son, but we would never go into the fast moving flow or even take our eyes away from them. This definitely feels very suspicious there's now way. RIP to those kids 🕊️🕊️
Hopefully good interviewers are assigned to the case, because there is no way in h*ll a responsible and caring mother would think it was a good idea to take two toddlers to raging river in the mountains alone.

Not likely most people would NOT take the time to "secure" the toddler while your other child was being washed away. Like get real your suffering from delusions of grandure there. You gonna tie um to a rock? Take them back to the car? While the other is drowning? Most would just be chasing with the toddler in arm. I agree it's suspicious. It doesn't sound like she entered the water. Fot the 4 year old or the toddler that would have likely washed by behind her.

The reporter said they "somehow got swept down the rapidly moving water" i cringed... just look how fast the rapids were, a 2 and 4 year old stood no chance. This horrible accident should've been prevented 😢 Mother nature does not play and this mother learned the hard way. RIP youngins

There are too many lapses in her story not question. This is fundamental reality and parenting. She could do just as well not keeping her eyes on her kids at home with more distractions.

Someone's not telling the entire story. I am a mother of five but four is still living. Never would i leave my 2 year old to loook for my drowning 4 year old a mother wouldn't have left her toddler in by its self to look for another toddler and let's be real why where these young babies near this dangerous creek bed anyway something isn't adding up 😡

When we lived in Tennessee and Virginia Beach, I used to take my 4-year-old son and our dog to the river and beach by myself because my husband was working. Sometimes, we faced heavy rainstorms, even at the park, but I always kept a tight grip on both of them. Children can be curious, but I can't understand how the mom in the news allowed her 4-year-old to get swept away. I know she must have been frantic, but losing one child and letting another one slip away... I can't imagine. RIP little ones, and prayers to the family during this unimaginably difficult time.

That's really sad, we have a creek behind our house and today (same day this was posted) we had hard rain that caused our creek to rise around 4' and it was flowing very fast, if an adult had gotten into it the likelihood of serious/lethal injury would be great with the rocks to hit a persons head on. This is so terrible and sad. Lord Jesus Christ please comfort the family.
And ppl complain that all parents today keep their kids inside and shove an ipad in their face. You can never win. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy. RIP little ones ♥♥
