That’s why they have to wait until there’s no one around to do a pit maneuver, pull back when a suspect starts to engage unless they have permission to engage back, and even in other chases where suspects crash and DONT get out of the car, they can’t rush the car and immediately get the suspect out. They have to take cover, hold the suspect at gunpoint as they repeatedly yell at them to get out of the car on their own. Then after like 5-10 minutes they shoot out the window to get better eyes in the vehicle/get suspects attention/clearer communication. THEN they slowly approach the vehicle with the lead officer carrying armor and then get the suspect out of the vehicle. They absolutely cannot do whatever they want. Especially while the news helicopter is literally capturing their every move. Obviously if the helicopter wasn’t there and they didn’t have body cameras it would be a different story. But that’s clearly not the case here.

I live with disability and chronic pain because another car T-boned me. My T7 was shattered. In that one moment, my entire life changed. My ability to be an involved mother, to run our family business, to do anything but have surgery after surgery as things went from bad to worse. As I watched this, I was holding my breath and when she hit that car at the end, I was praying they were ok. 😢 I don't know what was wrong with that crazy driver, but the police sure had plenty of time to stop her before she got to the neighborhood streets.

I live with disability and chronic pain because another car T-boned me. My T7 was shattered. In that one moment, my entire life changed. My ability to be an involved mother, to run our family business, to do anything but have surgery after surgery as things went from bad to worse. As I watched this, I was holding my breath and when she hit that car at the end, I was praying they were ok. 😢 I don't know what was wrong with that crazy driver, but the police sure had plenty of time to stop her before she got to the neighborhood streets.

One maniac, driving the way she was, had a hell of a lot more potential to maim and kill someone by being let free to do as she wanted. If the cops took her out at the beginning of the chase instead of dodging her and letting her chase them, many fewer people would have been impacted. Disgusting!

I feel like the police could have stopped the suspect sooner. They knew this person was beyond dangerous with no regard for anyone's life ,yet the suspect got away countless times putting innocent civilians in the path of a deadly weapon in the hands of a deadly person.

This is literally some of the worst police work I've ever seen.. They could have EASILY boxed her in LONG before she went onto the 405! Just appalling! They even had SEVERAL LEOS facing her on the 405 and they let her pass and go into civilian traffic! Protect the innocent at all costs. The speed wasnt even at a speed that could have severely injured the LEOS on the 405. C'mon officers, you are waaayyyy BETTER THAN THIS! 😤😤
