All bakers need recipes that are easy to make and enjoyed by everyone. Although there are times when nothing gives me more pleasure than spending a morning in the kitchen making a layer cake with swirls of frosting, there are also times when I need something that's quick and easy to make. That is when I turn to Rice Krispies Treats® (Squares). It is the busy mother's dream; ten minutes and you are done. Just mix together rice cereal with melted marshmallows and butter (or margarine). And the best part is that both kids and adults love this candy-like square, with its sweet flavor and crispy texture.

I love adding dried cranberries. So good.
Thank you so much! this was the most clear recipe I could find, really quick and easy and helpful too!
Love this desert kindda treat since my childhood. Thanks for sharing the recipe & made us recall our golden memories related to them.
Muchas gracias😍😍👍🏻👍🏻 por enseñar👍🏻👍🏻 Rice Krispies😃 (arroz crujiente) excelente 👌🏻👌🏻
My mom trust you on your recipes you help us bake treats your they best
I agree Stephanie, if it ain't broke don't fix it. The original recipe is still the best.
Very crunchy recipe. So good for children and for adults 😆😛
Bravissima Stephanie 👄👄👄Wish you a nice day😍
Such a classic. Thank you for sharing.
These are delicious! I've also used Fruity Pebbles for this recipe, but that was WAY too sweet! As always, thank you for your weekly video!
I make the Fruity pebbles bars for Christmas every year. I have one niece that loves them! I even gave them as a gift to her one Christmas!
Try cutting it with regular rice crispy cereal. Like, 1 part rice crispy cereal and 2 parts fruity pebbles.
Great presentation! Gotta do with the vanilla too. Nice! Thank you!
I made them so delicious 😋!
Thank u for sharing this sweet recipe Steph gonna try at home for my grand daughter ❤️🤙😘😋yummy
This is a good recipe! Thanks for sharing! To the 1% of the people who will see this... A philosopher once said: Believe and you will achieve!
(Small UA-camr Here) 😊
If you believe, anything is possible, I agree!
@@ParnellTheChef thank you!
These are the best
Thank You ~Joy:)
Delicious recipe, I will try it! Thanks .🇻🇪💝
Great, thanks a lot.
Any thing besides marshmallow I can use
I've only made these with marshmallows so I don't know of a substitute.
I am impressed
Can I use vegetable oil??
Fun as always!
U can also use Karo syrup... Or honey or ... especially if u don't like marshmallows...don't forget to heat...no butter nisasary....up too up...🐝
how long did they cook for? omg
😘👍🏼I like it
Didn’t you already make a video on these?
Nice
👍🏻👍🏻
Commenting for referral back. Thank you. Thank you 🙏🏻
Is it me, or is Stephanie the Bob Ross of baking? :)
Yesss that's who she reminds me of! Lol
😄😄😄😄😄 👍👍👍👍👍 😁😁😁😁😁
Rev Gina Pond awww....that’s so wonderful to say...and I’ll have to agree with you.
She does call it “Joy of Baking”.
CERTAINLY!!!! 🍞🍩🍪😋
This is a good recipe to have on-hand and the tip to oil or spray everything is essential. Thanks, Stephanie ☆
Instablaster.
Years ago (70s?) I realized recipe said 1 bag of large marshmallows or 4 cups miniature. Doesn’t equate. Large marshmallows is more marshmallows in the recipe. FYI. Just made some last night with granddaughter. Timeless goodness. 🐾🐾❤️
I add peanut butter sometimes. Yum
U'r the~>BEST! Do you make TIRAMISU!!!! 🍩👌😜
Sorry Stephanie, I'm gonna try Cocoa Krispies!!!!😜
Am making them now I have all the ingredients by the way thank you for sharing this recipe happy cooking 😁😁😁🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👍
Rice crispies, In Pakistan it's called murmure.
I see that she doesn't have to do dishes or otherwise he would have found a bigger kennel and only put the marshmallows in one instead of two. Now you have to Sticky pans that clean
Unfortunately I do have to wash my own dishes. :)
Joy I have followed you for a long time, you make cooking fun, I have a channel, I hope you will check it out😊😊😊
My grandson will love this tfs💕
Woh very very vvvvverryyyyy nice recipe dear friend 👌👌👌👌please stay cannected always dear
Tip: Be careful when using cooking spray. Inhaling the oil can irritate the lungs. My Mom taught me to either hold my breath or spray out the door.
Alicia Haley I always inhale it because it smells good
Watching videos from 5 years ago. Can we have some things other than desserts AGAIN? Don't know your audience now but we are all here. Congrats on the new company. I subscribed. This happens to be my favorite guilty present. All my girls know my soft spot. Mom used to make it too. There are breakfast, lunch, and dinner. "just use my hands" ... The Hash brown egg and veggie cups were genius. I will probably try this (with the wife's help) for my family thanksgiving breakfast! Would love to have more ideas for Christmas or what ever. Breakfast or Brunch ideas. Cute ideas.
I’ve made these a thousand times, but I still enjoy watching your videos and leaving a like!👌
That’s really nice how you throw in a really simple classic, that anyone can make,
but also helpful videos for many other generations of new bakers. :) Take care!!
Tasty one..... In India We made it with jaggery syrup. Kids love it.
A Mom's Life
What is jaggery syrup? What if we don’t want to use marshmallows?
It takes from sugarcane juice.
Looks so yummy 😋 😋 tasty 👍 😋 thanks for sharing
I have used this recipe a million times as my children were growing up. I had to tweek it a little to keep me interested in making them. I put peanut butter in with the marshmallows as I was melting it, and made a whole different taste to them. They loved both. I've even sprinkled melted chocolate over the peanut butter ones to make another different taste. All are delicious and never got a veto on any one I made. Thanks for posting Joy. Such a great teacher!
How much PNB do you add? A 1/2 cup? Thank you.
@@paulinehyder4728 Yes, maybe a little more than 1/2 cup. I just use a spoon and get a big scoop. They are delicious like that.
Your peanut butter recipe was absolutely delicious.
Delicious
OMG this brings back memories as a favorite treat as a child
You can add jaggery instead of marshmallow
Thanks for sharing Ms. Stephanie. I don't do gelatin marshmallow so I use the marshmallow fluff. INDEED A CLASSIC FAMILY TREAT 🥰
Does anyone know the tool she’s using to stir is called??
We don’t have Rice Krispies where I live 😭😭
Awwwh maybe you can travel to find them but at this time its better to wait before traveling you know
It is pity there is no "deliver done cookie to viewers" button :) - I would have pressed it every time she makes one of these videos :)
I am one of the few people in the world that didn't like these as a kid. Don't like them as an adult either because I am not a fan of marshmallows.
Like Stephanie said, check the date of the marshmallows package. My dislike of marshmallows comes from people making treats like this to use up old marshmallows. Horrible taste and texture for a "treat" or dessert. And old marshmallows very nasty in hot chocolate.
It's always a treat watching Stephanie make something even if I don't want to make it for myself.
How's Baxter? Will he get a li'l Rice Krispie treat? Does he look for treats?😍
Kellogg's Rice Crispy Treats are fantastic anytime. A definite recommend! 😁😁😁😁😁
Love all your recipes ♥️ thanks for sharing
Sorry Stephanie, I'm gonna try Cocoa Krispies!!!!😜
Sounds good friend
Thanks for making and sharing this wonderful recipe
I'm so glad you cut them on this video because that's what I've been struggling with.... I finally figured out that I haven't been letting them cool down before I cut them
This looks so delicious but i do have a question, i just want to make a few rice krispie treats so is it fine if i cut the recipe in half? So instead of 6 cups i put 3 cups, instead of 3 tsp of butter i put 1 and 1/2 tsp.
Yes you could do that. Just half all the ingredients.
@@joyofbaking thank you so much! For sure going to make this for my brother tonight, he’s been upset lately and i think its cause he’s worried about moving away for college. Im gonna use fondant to make little one piece themed toppers for the rice krispies, hope this cheers him up and gets him to eat something
🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
this was a great recipie it is a must
I love your videos, been watching since your previous kitchen. But, gotta ask, do you ever get worried youre simply going to run out of recipes??
No there are still lots of recipes to do.
I just made these the day after Thanksgiving for my family. My 7year old helped me with cooking them. 💖 Waiting in them to cool! Thank you Stephanie!
I make my Treats with either Rice Krispies or Golden Grahams cereal. Cheerios work well too.
Not only did I use... microwave for butter 1st then marshmallows....and froze my metal pan...n put in frig....or fast frezzer ...and added nuts ..yum...done in mins..🙋💅stay safe😷. And bless u all💓
Thank you Stephanie!! My daughter's and i made rice krispy treats for the first time ever today!! Made our day!! 😀
Or for people who are scared of the stove, just get a bowl and melt the butter and marshmallows in the microwave and then mix in the cereal then put it into the pan and let it cook 🤷🏾♂️
Brings out the kid in me, a recipe for all! It's a snap, crackle and pop. Thanks Stephanie. : )
This is the first thing I learned how to bake and started my love for baking. I always loved how creative you can get with Rice Krispie Treats! I loved mixing in dried fruits and melted chocolate on top. :)
I've made this also by dipping the final cut squares in melted chocolate on one side but you are right the original plain recipe is best.
Best one yet
I love the crunch... and they are good.... thanks for sharing.
They are called kellogs. Rice bubbles. In Australia
I have made these so many times. I put about a tablespoon of vanilla and or use vanilla milk chips or white almond bark (melted into) about 4 ozs per recipe but what i do is not needed to make them good . i just have to change all recipes to make them my own, lol ( not always better) still they taste good. plus i make them thick....almost cube like....
I have made these...yet...I freeze my bowl that mixes marshmallows...and add nuts..any kind...and refrigerate...the pan. Ready in ten mins...fast and yummy👍
Stephanie I agree with you that homemade rice krispies treats are so much better to make at home instead of the box rice krispies treats that tastes like a cardboard box
I just copied down your rice krispies treat recipe and I am going to make it at home soon in 2024
Thank you so much for sharing. When I saw your video of these bars right away add in my grocery list marshmallows and cereal 😊
Rice Krispie treats taste great with dried apricot bits, raisin pieces and a few nuts.
[I stopped eating margarine soon after it came out when I learned it is so close to plastic in its molecular make up! Use butter or oil. ( Processed cheese is only a few molecules away from plastic BTW). We can't kid ourselves that any of these man-made processed homogenized dairy products are in the least bit healthful.]
These are also great if you substitute Fruity Pebbles for 1/3 to 1/2 of the Rice Krispies!
If you are adding butter to your pot. Why do you spray the pot?
The butter doesn’t cover the sides.
wow nice video
Thank you i 👍 the way you make them.
mine came out awesome dont think i had these homemade since my mother made for me and she probably used your book lol ! ty Stephanie
Thanks! I just made it in a big wok, lol. Worked out and thanks for the spray tip.
i love all you recipes!! can you please make a moist pistaccio cake? thank you
I like to add a little vanilla to my melted marshmallows, and ALWAYS real butter😊
Let msg. Taste supe good...frozen with ice cream....or...hot ....and yum...frozen plain or ice cream 🥪. Or just r treat...u can add anything in top...hot or Cold...eat up🍦!!!!! Lol. Edit..msg I sent 🙄. Didn't have my glasses on..🤓....sry bout my mis spelling....oyyyy...stay safe...😷
Yum
Lucky dog, always has something delicious to eat.
hey how are you?
And there's..many flavored marshmallows out there....😁
Stephanie, I love the little dance you do as you sample the rice crispy treat! Lol!! Great tips and demo, bravo!!!
This homemade version tastes so much better than anythin in a box.
Iconic recipe growing up and with my kids as well. 🤗
Love your videos they've really helped me get into baking 😁😁
This was my favourite video! Loved how engaging you were in the video 😘
There are two people I wish were my neighbors. 🙏 Stephanie Jaworski and Martha Stewart. Oh, and a few of my immediate family members. 🙏 I just 💜LOVE💜 everything about Stephanie's personality. 🥰 Thank you Rick for all your time and dedication in showcasing Stephanie's talents in the kitchen. 👏😘
