Holy cow, I have binge watched your videos for 2 days now! You make me want to plant a garden, make my own ketchup, mustard and siracha, can goods and make freezer meals 😂WHERE do you get the energy to do all that you do?!? Girl, you do more before noon than I do in a day 😅
I know, been watching her since she started her videos. I still benge watch her at times. I love her techniques. I keep learning new things, I'm 76 yrs old. You go Becky, your the best-- God bless you from grandma Katie in Oregon
Congrats on the new knife. Just a tip from a professional, PLEASE DO NOT use your knife to open packages or scrape your cutting boards. You will ruin and dull the edge. Also most good knives should be hand washed.
Update: lemme tell y’all first hand Becky ain’t neva lied! made the sweet and sour chicken last night. At first I was skeptical of the tender juiciness of the chicken breasts tenders. Becky specified it would be unbelievably tender. Bay 👏🏾Bee👏🏾 🙌🏾😘🤌🏾 Best Sweet and Sour Chicken Recipe Ever! THANKS BECKY
It's something that happens in Chinese cookery. Even just soaking the meat briefly in a cornstarch slurry makes the meat silky if you're making stir fry.
This is your sign to try pumpkin pasta. When I tell you I was sup skeptical but it is now one of my favorite dinners…. Oh my gosh. Just do it gal pals.
Becky, When my 3 kids was young teenagers I was a single mother and I worked and went to college both, fulltime. We survived off of 30 day bulk freezer meals and crockpots. One of the request from my kids was chicken nuggets, so i would take one day on the weekend and made between 150-200 chicken nuggets. Cook them enough to lightly brown them but not fully cooked. Then froze them. The kids could pull out a few at a time and pop into the oven to cook at their leisure. There was no way i could go through the trouble of making them every time they wanted some! If i was goingbto make them, might as well make plenty to last several meals.
You know what might be good in your rice crispy treats for next time? How about some of your freeze dried strawberries & either some white chocolate chips or a white chocolate drizzle on top. I guess a brown chocolate of your choice would also work. I've never tried it, but in my head it sounds good. :)
Hi Becky. I wanted to answer a few questions you had for viewers in some of your episodes. 1) Use a magazine holder to store your silicone storage bags. 2) the fronts of your island drawers were a popular design trend in the 2000's for an "old fashioned general store" look. People filled the acrylic cabinet fronts with dried pasta noodles, dried beens, etc. I really enjoy your shows, thank you for sharing your talents with us!
Thank you 🙏 Your videos have helped and inspired me to feed my big family all home made breakfast lunch and dinner - while saving a looooot of money and running a business. My kids don’t eat that awful food at school anymore. I’m even making all home bread- I don’t recognize myself- for the better! 😂❤ It’s crazy though you’d think I’d have less energy but knowing I don’t have to worry about cooking much in the evening and feeding my family good food mostly preservative free gives me so much life!
Becky! This is my second batch of 6 assorted chicken marinades, I prepped, bagged and froze! Just pull out of the freezer thaw and airfry. 2 sides and Voila Dinner. Game Changer! Thank you so much you have changed my culinary life forever. Keep the videos coming. I ❤️U

I adopted your idea of marinating meat before freezing and it has been a game changer! I charcoal grill the meats once a week and use it to meal prep salads, lunches and dinners.
A kid I taught several years ago used to bring brown butter rice krispie treats for her birthday. She and my daughter were good friends so I asked for the recipe. Soo good! My favorite touch was that the recipe called for sprinkling some finishing salt over the top on the finished treats. I don't always have fancy salt to do it with, but it was a great finishing touch.
Great video! For the sweet and sour chicken, I think I would have put all the dry ingredients in a bag and added the chicken chunks then shook the bag to coat the chunks. Then dipped them in the egg mixture. Seems to me that would be easier.
We had a big family dinner yesterday for Mother’s Day. I decided to make your browned butter rice krispy bars to satisfy the grandkids. Not only did the grandkids love them but all the adults did too. We went through a whole pan of them. Delicious! Thank you for sharing the recipe. I’m adding it my family favorite recipes roll-a-dex. (Only the best recipes make it to that spot).
The rice crispy treats sound interesting. I’m a fan of peanut butter in them and chocolate on top. Regardless, a tip for smoothing out any variety of rice crispy treat is to run water on your palm and shake it off, then pat the crispy treat into the pan. Repeat if your hand gets sticky. This does not add additional butter or oil and does not make your treats soggy. The thin water barrier on your hand keeps it from sticking.
Girl your videos literally have me addicted! Today I'm making your breakfast sandwiches. I was gonna make teriyaki chicken for dinner but that sweet and sour chicken looked so good I'm making that now too! I'm also making your danishes from the other video for my mother's day brunch I'm hosting. I'm even gonna use homemade strawberry jam on mine that YOU taught me to make! I'm also growing sugar snap peas, carrots, radishes, kale, carrots out in my garden and started dozens of flower seeds yesterday. Thank you so much! Everything I make from your direction has been wonderful. You've really helped me so much!
Becky , if you save your egg shells, wash them and dry them in the oven you can crush them over your plants as a slug & snail repellant. It works really well.
My son who is a line cook at a country club bought me a set of knives for Christmas one year. They are German steel forged and sharpened with Japanese ingenuity. They are fantastic! I enjoy working in the kitchen so much more now. It will be fun to see if you enjoy food prep even more with the new knives.
Becky!!! I made the sweet and sour chicken last night and it was so incredibly good. I now have another family pleasing dinner in my toolbox. Thank you so much!
If you find an IceCube tray that the cubes will fit into your bottles you can freeze the juice into the ice cubes and put them into a ziplock like your garlic chunks. Just take out as many cubes as you need and put strait into the bottles. :)
Also, tape a piece of paper/grid paper and make up a map of your freezer with all it contents also so you know what you have in there. Another alternative is a dry erase marker for the top of the freezer.
I love that you mentioned making your own mustard! We just started making our own dijon mustard a few years ago and we will never go back! It's so much fun to make and tastes AMAZING.
I just want to thank you for your videos. :) I work from home and it's difficult not to get burnt out. But your videos keep me motivated to get things done, as well as get creative in the kitchen. You are so positive and motivated, and you explain things so well. I am so excited for your new mom life and your new house and your new new garden! I look forward to all the updates. I have never gardened in my life but planning to put in one raised bed every year so I can start slow lol.
Hello Becky, One thing my Mother in law taught me was to keep scissors handy to cut open packages rather than use the knife. Knives will dull quicker cutting plastics and cardboard. I adopted this, you can if you want or not. 🤗. We were so busy moving in and getting things unpacked and organized that when we purchased all of our meats prior to price raising more I just vacum packed the original meat and froze. Wish now I would have taken time to make into make ahead meals. Will start to do this when I can and don't have so much in my freezers. Your sweet & sour chicken looked delish!!! Had to finish this video this morning we got all of our raised beds filled and ready for planting so today is planting and babysitting my 2 year old granddaughter.
I've never seen or experienced a dredge that ends in egg instead of starts with egg. I would have assumed it would burn but your dinner looks so good. Now I have something new to try! Well also the brown butter treats. Gotta have some!
I have been making Rice Krispie treats for 50 years, my sons all loved them. We’ll just a few years ago my granddaughter and I were making some for Christmas, and I thought we should try melting the marshmallows in a very large bowl in the microwave! After marshmallows are melted I add the butter. It is so nice because at Christmas we like to make different kinds of shapes, so if the mixture starts to cool, we just zap it again and then is pliable again. Easier clean up too!
I must say watching you lick the bowl like that, was like going into your past and seeing 6 year old Becky in the kitchen helping mom. So adorable! Can’t wait to try that recipe with my granddaughter. ❤
When I make Rice Krispie squares, after pouring the mixture in the 9 x 13 pan, I butter my hands and press the bars into the pan. This recipe sounds amazing, I hope to try it soon!
That method of coating the chicken is also how I do zucchini when I make Hobak Jeon which is a Korean pan-fried fritter. Just slice up some zucchini into rounds about a 1/4 of an inch thick, sprinkle it with some salt and wait until it's pretty flexible. Coat in flour or cornstarch and then egg. Fry it up and serve with a dipping sauce of 2 parts soy sauce and 1 part rice vinegar. I'm growing gochugaru in my garden this year. I'm hoping to be able to make my own Korean chili flakes. Wish me luck!
We make those fried chicken nuggets about once a month. I just fry them until they're done in the pan and then whip up an array of sauces for dipping--usually honey mustard for my husband, ranch for our girls, and then bbq for me! We love it--and it's a nice alternative to fried chicken. I'll try your sweet and sour sauce next time. Looks delicious!
I have a master list for my basement pantry - but I keep it upstairs, so that I can look at it before I go to the grocery store! I basically made it in Excel and wrote my contents with a square in front so that I can write in pencil how much of each I have in the basement. IT IS AWESOME!
So many folks keep a shopping list on their phones...how about keeping a downstairs "needs to restock soon" list. That way, it's wherever the phone is.
The detergents in the dishwasher dull the sharp knife edge. I have to sharpen my knives half as often as I used to once I stopped putting them in the dishwasher. I also keep my utensils with handles and wooden spoons out of the DW and have found they last so much longer. My favorite "spoon" (it's more of a spatula) is 15 years old now and going strong!
Becky just made your sweet & sour chicken. It was a HUGE hit with my family. Prepping for the honey mustard chicken and the lemon chicken for this coming week. Thank you!! ❤
Becky, I don't know if you know this or not, but you CAN can the juice you bought instead of freezing it and save the freezer space. We do it all the time. It's great! ♥️
We use a white board to make our lists Becky then just take a picture on our cell of it when we shop. After we are home we wipe off the things that were purchased and the things we did not get stay on the list till next time. White boards are more eco friendly! 😉 Love your channel! Been watching for years! ❤
When you were making the honey mustard chicken marinade, I thought of this new honey I got called Mike's Hot Honey. It's infused with chilies, but it isn't too hot. I've actually used some on French toast & it was delicious. Maybe something you might like to try out.
Becky, I mix my egg with flour and a little water, put my chicken pieces in the "pancake like batter" and fry them. It doesn't require having to dip in flour and egg separately. You may want to try that to speed things up.
When making your Rice krispies treats and your pushing them down in the pan use wax paper spray it with pam and then use it to push your rice krispies down in your pan NO Sticking
Butter wrappers. That's how we did it a long, long time ago. No PAM horrible oil. Read the ingredients and research them. The worst oils are vegetable, soybean and corn including Crisco and seed oils. Beware... they are to blame for memory issues, organ failure and neurological pathway issues. Even in animals.
I agree about the silicone bags. Silicone has not been proven to be safe when heated. Some tests say a certain heat temp and others say another heat temp but the problem is no consensus thus problems in cleaning the bags except in cold water. Silicone seems to be just fine in the cold.
I was tasting them rice krispie squares along with you 😊 Also, I've added a sprinkle of granola, cornflakes, unsweetened shredded coconut & any cereals that were almost empty. Even bran flakes that no one in the house liked. 😂 Great way to use up undesirables, by slathering marshmallows on it, but the trick is just keep krispies to half of dry mixture. Enjoy & thank you for what you do.
I freeze juice too. I buy lemons, lime, and tangelo oranges when they're in season, juice them and put the lemon and lime in ice treys to freeze. Each pocket holds 2 TBLS of liquid. When frozen I put in a quart freezer bag. The tangelo juice also goes in quart freezer bags. It's portion sized. It's the only orange I'll eat. It's only available for a very short time. To I juice it and freeze it to have longer in the year.😊❤
I put my shopping list on the fridge. A dry erase board. Then i just erase what i pick up. Its great for keeping up with things i buy from seldom shopped places or for seasonal bulk orders. But it may bother your visual esthetics, you can put it inside a cabinet at your desk or kitchen cabinet. Love your organizing tips!
Oh my gosh, Becky! I made your sweet and sour chicken for dinner tonight with enough for leftovers for tomorrow and probably one more meal. It is so scrumptious! Amazing! I doubled the sauce recipe as you did and added sriracha. Best idea! Thank you for sharing your recipe and for showing us how to do it! Cheers from 🇨🇦Calgary, Alberta🇨🇦
For the sweet and sour, I cut sugar in half, omit catsup and add a pint jar of orange marmalade, plum or peach jam. Plum is my favorite. I also add sesame oil. As long as you have the vinegar, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and sesame oil almost any fruit jam is delicious. General Tso's is simple too.
Those garlic pucks have to the best invention of the year, very handy. I love the marinades and chicken ready in the freezer. I need to buy some chicken breasts again. A dry erase board would work for that, also to keep track of what's in the freezer too.
I just started watching your channel and I love it!!!! You are pretty darn amazing!! So organized! And I love your recipes~~ You have literally inspired me to organize my own kitchen and try new recipes! Thank you! You’re a joy to follow!!
I make a fantastic marinade that can be used for chicken or a roast. 2 cups red wine, 1 cup oil, lots of minced garlic, and 2f pound of sliced mushrooms. Mix it all up and pour over chicken or beef and freeze. This is a very popular marinade that we use in the oven or on the grill.
I simply love the energy you put forth on your videos. I love your recipes and your willingness to share this part of your life. I look forward to seeing you on my feed of recommended videos. Thank you for your positive attitude, even when you mess up (not that you do often).
I love watching you cool all of these fabulous recipes.... And canning..my mom use to can a lot of our food and it's was soooooooo delicious. Also, you don't have your hair hanging all around the food. You are a very clean cook.
If you spray waxed paper or parchment paper with non=stick spray and lay it on top of the rice krispie treats and press down on the treats they are so much more compact.
Hi Becky! You’re all about not wasting anything. I can recommend having an electronic citrus press (the kind that spins around and you press the orange or lemon on top and it removes all of the pulp and lets the juice seep through in a container below). I have tried these hand pressers and the amount of juice you gain more of the electric device is astonishing.
Made the rice krispy treats on Friday night, had no idea you had made these too! I added two things while they were still hot: sprinkles and flaky sea salt to the top. You are right, definitely want more!
I just discovered your channel yesterday and I have been binge watching. You’re amazing !! I wish I had your level of energy, but it is fun to dream. Thank you so much.
Becky Josh Sprout Fellow Commentators. I was just thinking your mom's master shopping list would be great for a basic list for your freezer controll/ shopping list. I keep my freezer list on top of the chest freezers and on the door of the fridge freezer. The actual shopping list could be on an inside cabinet door in the kitchen...whatever you open MOST. Watching you enjoy the fruits of your labor (brown butter krispie treats) was a vicarious delight. Hugs to all from Mexico Jim
I love watching your videos. Watching you I was encouraged to make my own whipped cream, buttermilk and butter. I used the buttermilk to make buttermilk ranch chicken for dinner tonight. So yummy
I found a rice Krispie treat recipe where you add a can of sweetened condensed milk and about 20 Werther's soft caramels to the marshmallow mixture. YUM!!
OMG, Becky! Just saw your magnificent pantry. Holy moly, girl... you are really organized. I am so envious. I am so enjoying your videos..not only do I love you and your approach to life, but I'm learning organizing tips along the way. Can't beat that! See you next time❤
Becky when your drying your reusable ziploc bags after washing them, use your bag holders and place the bag upside down on it. It let's the air flow through it. Hope that makes sense.
Hello Becky! So do love watching your channel. When i have extra lemons or limes, i juice them and freeze them in an ice cube tray. Pop them into freezer bag and voila, fresh juice whenever and no waste. Love to the whole family ❤️ jennie
I went to the store after watching your video making the Rice Krispies 😂And am going to be making them this afternoon they looked so delicious. Love watching your videos thank you for all you share with us I've learned a lot about starting a garden and canning and freezer meals. Thank you again for all you do 🎉
I have a touch kitchen faucet and it is one of the best kitchen upgrades we've made. It is so easy to wash your hands and keep the cooking process going without grunging out the handle on your faucet.
The recipes you have been making recently look SO GOOD. I've been in a bit of a recipe rut and you are inspiring me to get back into the kitchen! Thanks Becky!
Those marinated meat meals look delicious! Great idea to freeze the tortillas! Definitely need to make those browned butter Rice Krispie treats! Yum! That chicken looks delicious too, I’ll have to make that! Thanks for some more great meal ideas!
The brown butter RC treats. I got a little too worried about burning the butter so it wasn't as nutty as it should have been. Also, I had big marshmallows and they took longer to melt. I used a bunch more vanilla because I like it, and added another cup of RC. In future, I will cook the butter longer and add an additional 2 cups of RCs. Good recipe for butter lovers! Yum
When I saw you make the homemade nuggets, I realized that’s what I have been buying frozen when my family wants general tso chicken. So thought maybe why not meal prep a lot of that chicken then freeze just the nuggets, then add your general tso sauce when you are ready to cook. It is so expensive to buy this pre done so I’m gonna try to make it homemade. Awesome job Becky!

Seeing this video 4 months behind, but this comment about wanting more rice krispie treats in the bowl made me chuckle.
Me too!! I need to go make me some right now!
That was hilarious!
Congrats on the new knife. Just a tip from a professional, PLEASE DO NOT use your knife to open packages or scrape your cutting boards. You will ruin and dull the edge. Also most good knives should be hand washed.
The chicken is tender because of using the corn starch instead of flour. Asian restaurants use corn starch to tenderize their meat.

Strawberry and white chocolate are the perfect combination, try raspberries too.

Becky you should show us your recipe collection and how you keep them. You always have them printed out and i am always curious what you do with them.
Hi Becky. I wanted to answer a few questions you had for viewers in some of your episodes.

I have some squash that needs using so thank you! Absolutely making this today
@@pamelameyer5371 It would be a good idea, if I used my phone like that.
Thank you!! ❤
PS I was sick for 2 weeks. Found you on UA-cam and have been addicted to you channel ever since.
Becky, I don't know if you know this or not, but you CAN can the juice you bought instead of freezing it and save the freezer space. We do it all the time. It's great! ♥️
Orange juice, too?
@@mimiashford5544 yes, you can, can orange juice too!
Great idea! Just don’t do this if you prefer to keep the enzymes active ❤
I came here to say the same thing❤
@@tammyr2966 Does it get water bathed or pressure canned? Looking around on websites for more info...
I always butter clean hands to smoosh my rice crispies down so they’re nice and dense when they cool off.
I never thought to use cake pans for eggs/flour for chicken! Thanks for such a great idea!
I agree about the silicone bags. Silicone has not been proven to be safe when heated. Some tests say a certain heat temp and others say another heat temp but the problem is no consensus thus problems in cleaning the bags except in cold water. Silicone seems to be just fine in the cold.
I was tasting them rice krispie squares along with you 😊
Also, I've added a sprinkle of granola, cornflakes, unsweetened shredded coconut & any cereals that were almost empty. Even bran flakes that no one in the house liked. 😂 Great way to use up undesirables, by slathering marshmallows on it, but the trick is just keep krispies to half of dry mixture.
Enjoy & thank you for what you do.
I made the rice crispy treats tonight for my family. They are raving over them!!!😊❤ Thanks Becky.
To I juice it and freeze it to have longer in the year.😊❤
I’ve known about brown butter rice crispy treats for years, but the cutting up of the meat before freezing is brilliant!!❤
Becky I made the Rice Krispie and it was a hit with family! Thank you so much❤️🙏❤️
For the sweet and sour, I cut sugar in half, omit catsup and add a pint jar of orange marmalade, plum or peach jam. Plum is my favorite. I also add sesame oil. As long as you have the vinegar, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and sesame oil almost any fruit jam is delicious. General Tso's is simple too.
Cornstarch and egg is what makes the chicken tender.
A folded square of waxed paper does a great job of pressing krispy treats in the pan.
Becky, you could put your corn starch into a freezer bag, add your chicken, seal and shake. My husband does this when he fries fish.
If you spray waxed paper or parchment paper with non=stick spray and lay it on top of the rice krispie treats and press down on the treats they are so much more compact.
A suggestion, you can portion and wrap your tortillas, and put the wrapped tortillas in the bag they came in?
So yummy
I like a whiteboard for that type of list...super helpful.
Mind like a steel trap! You remember a recipe from 😊6 years ago! Thanks for sharing your recipes and videos!
I found a rice Krispie treat recipe where you add a can of sweetened condensed milk and about 20 Werther's soft caramels to the marshmallow mixture. YUM!!
Please Post the Recipe!!🙌🙌👍👍😋😍
OMG, Becky! Just saw your magnificent pantry. Holy moly, girl... you are really organized. I am so envious. I am so enjoying your videos..not only do I love you and your approach to life, but I'm learning organizing tips along the way. Can't beat that! See you next time❤
I've never been a Rice Krispy Treat fan. However, watching Becky polish off that prep pot makes me want to make a batch.
Becky when your drying your reusable ziploc bags after washing them, use your bag holders and place the bag upside down on it. It let's the air flow through it. Hope that makes sense.
Loving all these uploads. Those rice crispy treats sound amazing.
I could watch you all day i absolutely love learning from you your my favorite on you tube❤❤❤
Hello Becky! So do love watching your channel. When i have extra lemons or limes, i juice them and freeze them in an ice cube tray. Pop them into freezer bag and voila, fresh juice whenever and no waste. Love to the whole family ❤️ jennie
When my kids were young they loved rice crispy treats, but instead of rice crispy I used "fruit loops ". Lots of fun color and flavor.
Hello friend!! Blessings to the Acre family!
I love you, I love you, I love watching you and learning from you thank you so much
Backy for being on here and teaching all of us new stuff.
She's in Her Apron has a food storage inventory notebook that she sells. It's very organized.
I made the rice crispy treats today and they are so good. I am preparing my chicken to make the sweet and sour chicken. Can't wait. Thank you.
Put the item on your shopping list when you have one left. That way you never run out and you don’t need to buy restock immediately.
I love your pantry! That is huge! All those filled shelves are beautiful!
The recipes you have been making recently look SO GOOD. I've been in a bit of a recipe rut and you are inspiring me to get back into the kitchen! Thanks Becky!
Becky, did you know that they are upgrading the Harvest freezers. You call them and they will send you the info on the extra Tray and app upgrade.
