this album singlehandedly has changed my whole outlook on life and got me out from so much bad shit
All these years later and this live version of sunbather is still the closest sounding to the original record out of any of their other live performances of this song
deafheaven is one of the most emotionally sincere bands out there. this IS what music is about

It’s not as good though. Why is everyone lying? in all of his old live shows, like this beautiful live one, he would actually use like a screamo type scream for songs off their sunbather album, now he uses that gutteral squelching he used in new Bermuda for all his vocals. It’s lame but what can you do?

How do people not cry anytime they hear Deafheaven? They give me the same reaction i first had when listening to Tool, Puscifer, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Opeth & Sikth. Nothing short of pure, visceral emotion.

Idk if you've heard their newest album but he has a lot more range to his vocals on it. Still rips some terrifyingly good highs, though.

Kane Recardo hiphopfuhrer Blackgaze has been a thing for a while...mix of Black Metal and Shoegaze rock. Liturgy, Alcest, Lantlôs, etc...Deafheaven weren't the first band to do this combo by any means.

***** Yep I liked that about joy division, their sound and aesthetic such a thing is very appealing because it gives you a sense of completeness like they're putting a lot of effort into what they do, not just doing music but interpreting it the way they want.
