Unfortunately, episode 5 was affected by data corruption, so we lost the footage of the tasting section. However, we're happy that we can still showcase these chefs amazing dishes!
Bah, I was curious of that section feeling so different; all good though, I still got to get a good feel of each dish through all the close ups and descriptions, another awesome 'sode, Chad and gang!!
So sad to see Sarah go; she’s clearly such a sweet and beautiful human - and I thought her dish looked fantastic! 😞 Really glad you had a vegan athlete as a guest judge. 💪
Love all these guys but Sarah, actually bringing the protein to this "protein" challenge, and nothing but class on the way out. Can't wait to see what this amazing vegan chef brings to the world
Sad to see Sarah go! I wish we could have seen what she would have made for the dessert episode. I loved Matteo's dish - could almost taste it from the screen. Imagine if all the contestants had a grand potluck together. Pure vegan bliss.
A few of the chefs just held a fine dining pop - up dinner in Columbus, OH - it was amazing! Check out some pictures on our instagram (@topvegantv) or our UA-cam shorts!
Syonara, Sarah! Man that's too bad she didn't grill those soy curls, then rejuice them up after maybe. Another Titan gone, but the 4 left all do deserve it; this episode had me just imagining what a treat it must be to eat all these labors of love and GRIT! ❤🎉🤤 GOODLUCK TOP 4!!
I just love Jani!!! I want to try all her food. Growing up, I used to scoop the meat out of the menudo and only eat the hominy. I’m still thinking about those jackfruit empanadas she made 🤤
The chefs are all so talented and at this point, any of them could end up being Top Vegan! I would like to see Lester do something with his hair so it's not hanging over the food as he works on his dishes
I was wondering why we couldn’t see the judges eating the food, what a bummer! Next time you should show cutting into the dishes as well if you can. Thank you for this!
You gotta put soy curls in the oven! I knew that was going to be underwhelming as soon as Sarah took them out the pot. Sucks shes gone because of one dish that still looked good, she was doing amazing the rest of the series.
I thought yani's was the least relevant to the episode, but actually her recipe is coming in handy for many who are looking for a menudo like this, so maybe it is getting people in a plant-based direction for protein after all!
I was surprised too, but they were splitting hairs as Chad said. Plus as much as it comes down to each individual round, they also must make these tough calls based on all the cooks thus far. Jani and Lester leaving would've been crazy as they both won twice, and with Logan winning, they had to pick between Matteo and Sarah, and I can see how her dish was less favored as something slightly less unique, and how they mentioned the lack of wow factor in the soy curls.
Ya, actually brought the protein to this "protein" challenge. Tastes are subjective though. She had a really classy attitude about it and I firmly believe that she's right when she said this is just going to lead to something bigger
you'd think she'd be #1 with the most protein, but then was the bottom. It's like ANTM over here lol. Yani wasn't even sticking to the theme, but in the end - it doesn't matter where people start with concepts, but how they end.
@@extropiantranshumanhi there Jani here 😁 the reason I did menudo is because I did so much frying on the show that this soup was all the healthy and protein punch any vegan can get. It had two forms of tofu which they didn’t show but one was a “Chicharon” and the other was a “tripa.” Then it had garbanzo beans and the avocado to top it off brings that great fat that those body builders need. Event though it was a “hangover” remedy, I feel like the amount of pure protein was up to par. Also that hot sauce will Make you sweat like you just ran a marathon 😏
Although Sarah’s dish did look great and she does seem like an awesome person, at 5:11 she puts a bowl onto the floor to put food into it. Where did that bowl go next? Hopefully not to a prep area where it can contaminate food.
The guest judge is in fact vegan as I gathered, everyone is vegan on this show except most of the guest judges, which is actually a cool move to not just exlude non vegans outright if you think about it, lol. But yea people use plant based and vegan interchangeably even tho we shouldn't, and idk if that was done here, but yea pretty sure bro was all vegan.
the first judge wasn't even vegan at all, but for those who aren't to be a part of the process of seeing what veganism is about compared to animal products is a part of building better vegan products for everyone to be able to come into.
As a vegan for over sixty years (!), I definitely get where you're at. But I've learned that ours is not a space for purists. Don't stress over the terminology, VV...just be thankful that many who wouldn't otherwise are giving it [albeit their own bespoke version] a go. Certainly, the animals appreciate it!
Pretty sure my shirt says VEGAN Meathead throughout the whole episode, and that is the title of my book. I had nothing to do with the use of the term "plant-based" for this episode anyhow, but I am not mad about it. It was an awesome experience, and the dishes were all amazing.

I am so sorry that happened. It must have been so frustrating and disappointing for you all.

Sarah, you are amazing!
@@WatchDoggyDog lol right, I was like "that felt short"
@@juanmacias5922Yea, it happens. Next time we hopefully get to see them scarf those desserts :)
This show fills my heart! Good job everyone! Can I get a KALE YEAH?!
Kaaaaaaaaaaale YEEEEEAAHHHHHHH
So sad to see Sarah go; she’s clearly such a sweet and beautiful human - and I thought her dish looked fantastic! 😞

Her dish was incredible - such unique uses for protein additions. Hard to eliminate anyone at this point 💔

She’s already making moves! Class act, great chef, better human ❤️ check her out on instagram @chefsarahmartin
No way! Sarah, that was a creative meal.

And Sarah's dish was so inspiring, I plan to cook it on my own next time! 58 grams of protein, wow. Thank you for this great recipe!

I would love to try panelle! It sounds and looks soooooo good! Another great episode! 🌹💐
Aww. I'm sorry Sara! Nice job.
really love the energy of today's guest judge! can't wait for next episode!
They ara all great chefs. Watching from Brazil.

Great episode! Love this show! Sarah-s dishes have been so consistly good and she's such a light!

Love these cant wait for more, makes columbus ohio look great 🎆🥪.
I want Sarah's recipe it sounds so good!!
was waiting for this OAT (of all time) question!
Great episode
All look sooo good.

Love it. Keep it up!

the 2nd placer got a winning medal written all over him!
Maaaan, rough elimination!! So gnarly, but that’s how it goes down..
Gets harder to eliminate someone every episode! Top notch chefs and amazing dishes, we really have to nit pick to come to a decision !
who can breathe without seeing this?

Definitely felt like Sarah should’ve won here… 😢 or at least in the top 2

Can anyone explain why "75 minutes" instead of 90 minutes?
an hour with an extra 1/4 hour to spare for plating

Not trying to sound creepy but I can't have a cooking show not show the judges eating the food and giving reactions on camera 🤣🤣🤣.
So he’s plant-based not vegan? Why are there non-vegan people on this show?

@ so you actually don’t know at all. Plant based is not a synonym for Vegan.
