Hey everyone! Thanks for having me guest judge on this episode - it was so cool to be a part of what you've built here and I loved meeting all the contestants!
What I loved about season 1 is the spirit of cooperation, instead of the hate and backbiting of other reality shows. It appears that they're continuing with the positive, kind culture, and I'm very happy to be watching! I'd rather they not use the highly processed meats, though. I LOVE imagining the flavors of all the creative vegan dishes!!
Season 2 of Top Vegan is back bigger and better! Wow!! Loved the personalities, food, and diverse backgrounds of this new batch of contestants. Chad is charming and funny as ever; I enjoyed the guest judge's energy, too. The background music has been toned down...the production quality is great. Just a wonderful show!! Looking forward to the rest of the season!
I'm very excited to see this come back. Sarah looks like a very strong pick for a possible winner, but the competition appears very solid as well. I'm also stoked about the international representation.

I'm just the runner-up, but as the result of of Top Vegan, I did launch my business "Sumac and Sage" specializing in vegan cooking instruction (including virtual) and personal chef services. I also do occasional pop-ups, and will be taking over the kitchen at Mazu in Yellow Springs, Ohio in November, preparing an all-from-scratch, elevated New Orleans-inspired dinner! Top Vegan changed my life, and I will be forever indebted to Chad Goodwin!
I feel like the tasting phase should be a bit slower and we should get a better see of the judges initial reactions to the taste but other than that love the show
Just recently found this, and just finished watching the first season. I'm very glad this competition exists! Though it's much smaller scale, this series has a similar vibe to Masterchef Australia, which stands out in how wholesome and supportive the interactions between all involved are. Not creating drama for drama's sake, like I see from most reality shows. Good stuff! In an ideal world, I'd like to see this grow to become a vegan version of Masterchef Australia, as big and expansive, putting other cooking competitions to shame!
Chad coming through with another banger. Keep making Columbus vegans proud! Excellent line up once again. Excited for these chefs and their journey 🎉. And kudos for giving the governor's mansion a spotlight.
This is just such a joy to watch! cruelty-free recipes, real skills, so much culinary creativity and the overall amazing atmosphere. Top Vegan really proves that cooking contests don't have to be the redundant tv format. And the production quality and directing is top-notch
These episodes should be way longer! Everything felt so rushed once the finished cooking. I wanna hear more about the food and what you guys think about it!
Yay! “Top Vegan” is finally back! I’d been refreshing all day! It’s great to have a nice show to watch while eating an excellent homemade vegan meal. Good luck to this new season of chefs. 🙌🏾🫶🏾🤎🔥🔥🔥
this looks to be a very strong field of chefs. I so wish they spent more time in the edit showing us each dish with close ups at the final tasting. And that there was less time spent with drama in the kitchen and instead focused on the actual taste, flavor combinations, spices used. Generic comments like "well balanced" or "spicy" do not go a long way to explaining taste. I've never had Jamacian jerk sauce for example (but would like to try it!) so the judges or chef explaining what spices go into a typical jerk would be helpful.
