Frontier OS27 sawmill ~ problems and issues that need to be sorted ASAP !

- Hi everyone and welcome back. Thank you to everyone who has returned to watch another video of mine.
On this one, i have issues with the OS27 sawmill and some that ive managed to figure out and some that Andy Dudley from Global Recycling Solutions helped me out big time. If you are in the UK then please go check their website out and see what they can offer you.

It blows all the time down range of these fields. Need a fence up ASAP to reduce that wind down. Thanks for your comment as always 👍
G'day Nick. You will get it sorted. My substantive job is a sign maker and digital printer and when I started out I wasted many metres of material because of problems I could not sort out. Eventually as you work with it you can spot problems quicker and the mistakes will be eliminated. Keep at it mate.
Howdy bud, hope you are well buddy. I feel you there. Generally I'm a guy who tries to do maximum research before diving into anything, but like always, real life is different and once your living the moment you quickly learn.

You should build a drip rack/shelf on top of the soak tank. That way you can soak and drip dry more boards at a time and you don't have to tip the boards up which will help you with not bumping it into things while you move it around.

So inside the tank now I have 2 pieces of hard wood inside the tank to rest the dipped boards on. I can get about 28 boards on whilst they drip dry for a little while. I don't want to build anything too much externally of the tank as I may get drips outside the tank. I'll show you what it's like on the next video. But I appreciate your ideas though. Nothing is ever dismissed and put in my thought bank in the ord brain 😄
Glad you were able to get your mill sorted out. I've only had wavey cuts when my blade was dull. I've never checked for level in that direction. I'm going to tomorrow. Your dip tank, sorry if I missed it, what are you dipping your boards in and what purpose will those boards be used for. Did you say you used a circular saw to cut the tank? If so what kind of blade/cutoff wheel? I've cut several 100 pound tanks and used a sawzall. Nothing looked as good or straight as yours. Cheers from a fellow mechanical engineer. Love your videos.

I just can't believe the red tension knob lost tension. The tarp I was using must have pushed down on it.
I'd be interested in seeing your mill with the level across it to see if mines wrong or right or I don't know 😆
I never took any footage of the tank, like a fool I am. I set the camera up and thought I pressed record and I never. I will do a follow up video and show everyone what I used and what I use the tank for. The boards are used for fencing so they got to be treated to allow them to last longer than green cut boards. I'll do a video and it will show what I did 😄

Nick, I checked my mail. Mine is exactly like yours. It is unlevel as well in that direction. By a lot.
I put a magnetic level on my blade and it's perfectly level.
@@BigelowWoodcraft very weird to think the cutting head is that far out of level and then the blade is bang on level. I can't figure it out to be fair. I'm glad I've not got a dud 😆
Nick - what's happening with the mini digger? How you getting on with the factory regarding the broken chassis?
Hi Mark and welcome aboard 😄
So the digger just hasn't had any work recently, I'm just waiting for the next job to start which is in April. I have some jobs to do myself on the land with it and I'll give an update of what's what with it then.
Regarding the factory, they sent me a part out but its not ideal. The steel plate it's welded to is thinner than the steel I put on mine. Again I'll show this very soon. Ideally a new chassis would sort it but that ain't going to happen I'm afraid. The shipping alone would be crazy money 😆
