Amazingly done! You jusst saved me, I live in the middle of nowhere and. I already starting pull it apart before your video. The entire hub fell out. So i didn't know what to do. Then isaw you saying to leave the axle nut on. So i put the broken hub on and put the axle nut back on and did your method. You a genius 👏 Thank you!!
Cutting the slot is a good tip, maybe weld a nut to the flange if it is really stubborn. Great tip, thanks for sharing. Every trick to getting these out is helpful, sometimes it takes a combination of all to get that buggers to break loose. Not sure where you are at, that rust doesn't seem that bad. Backing plate is still there, parking brake hardware still has it's galvy coating, abs sensor actually came out in 1 piece and the entire bottom of the car does not look like the deck of the Titanic.
Well, I didn't have too much trouble. Slacken the four hub retaining bolts half to 1 turn and put a spare wheel back on. Then you can apply all manner of brutality to it until the bearing starts to shift - if you have a farm yard that can include driving it 😊

I'm about ready to do this & I'm sure by the sound of it it'll fall apart when I take it apart

Awesome video and tip, thanks for sharing.
Your welcome! Thanks for enjoying, if there is anything you would like me to make a video of, I am open to ideas.
That is amazing. I wish I saw this before hammering for hours!

How to remove a wheel bearing in Florida^
Can you please share what size and kind of nut and bolt were used?
Is is possible to toll me what year and model is?
My favorite trick I use it on other cars too
Isnt it easier to use a hub puller for this?
Yeah, but not everyone has access to one.
Did that car hit an animal? It looked like tissue and hair along that front crossmember.
Old trick. But you could quickly just end up with splitting your bearing in two...
That's why I said to put the axle nut back on, it hold's the hub together..
Oof, Tuff to watch
Lol
He is doing a bad way, there is a better and safer way of doing that
Show us that better way. This is probably the least damaging and quickest method I have seen.
@@vikingdeity7562 it's called using the proper tools. Doing it his way, most of y'all will screw something up guaranteed.
Heat and a big fucki g hammee
Does not work like that. Not up north anyway.
Not in the rust belt. After a day with the sledge, I took it to the shop and they did the same damn thing.
