This guy needs more publicity! Excellent technical explanation, good pacing, nice camera work (knowing where to put the camera isn't that trivial)... that's the type of video I love watching early in the morning. Great job buddy!
That's a unicorn wheel bearing the way it came out. Must have used fairy dust first to loosen it. Nice video. I might have relubed the brake parts on reassembly while you had it apart.
I wonder how flat rate guys deal with the enormous increase in work required for Subarus that live in the salt belt. That wiggle out with fingers is not going to work anywhere I know.
As a Subaru tech in Canada, you can screw right off. I was too lazy once to pound on the bearing, so I removed the knuckle, (it was getting an alignment anyway), and took it to the press. It took 10 tons of force before the bearing released. These electric parking brakes models are the worst.
The feared subaru wheel bearing! wonder how he's gonna get that loose, ohh he just wiggles it up and down a few times with his fingers LOL that's not how I remember it at all

Thank you. Best to the point video on replacing Subaru rear wheel bearing. My go to video.

Finally one with no rust.

This is no way that came out that easy, it took me almost an hour to knock the hub out today
Don't worry, the one I posted yesterday (in a short) took me 2 hours to beat out, I yanked the hub off the bearing beating it so hard.
Very strange that the hub wasn't rust welded to the housing.
That car never saw salt I guess.
The joys of living in the south.
May be subaru xv wheel bearing same as subaru forester or impreza wheel bearing
Yeah right; no corrosion.
Did you say 265 N/m for the four nuts holding the wheel bearing assembly? That’s 195 ft/lb of torque, way too high.
I agree two duga dugas is sufficient.
omg so rust free thats amazing lol
First, hey Deamon o/
