Slightly unrelated: When I was first learning about proving PSPACE-completeness, Sokoban and sliding block puzzles were some of the first examples we looked at. In this game, the shortest solution to a puzzle can be exponentially larger than the size of the puzzle, which is a somewhat unusual property among puzzle games. If you were able to find a fast general algorithm for determining whether a given Sokoban puzzle has a solution, that would be worth like a trillion dollars btw. You could use that algorithm to break any encryption and solve essentially every open problem in mathematics.
just had the mental image of a sketchy sokoban game that secretly converted encryption problems into sokoban levels in order to crowdsource picking through other people's encryption
I wasn't expecting to have much of a reaction to this to be fully honest, but I'm on like puzzle 8 right now and I was just immediately swept away by the sheer denseness of the learning process. Like once each puzzle clicks in your head it feels like the designer yourself is conjuring it in your mind and you just assemble everything like a sleepwalker. God it's satisfying.
I played your sokoban level pack (syanpsoil prelude), and thought it was real good! Playing through microban now, and it's the second game I've ever played where I go into a fugue state and my fingers do all the thinking (the first being frostpunk). Terrific. Thanks :3
as someone who has played the google snake sokoban mode for an extended period of time, it's nice to see a version of pushing little blocks around that isn't stressful or time restrained
its fun learning a game mechanic like this because you learn it intuitively, in such a way where its difficult to put into words exactly what you've learned
ok, I'm only through 4 of these, but wow each one of them is so tightly designed and clever, perfect use of limited space, it's such a good puzzle experience
i played sakoban inside of baba is you without realizing it. (Well in truth, my first exposure to it was in a spongebob tie in game for pc) Perhaps i should find the original name for all of those "1001 collection" type minigames. There's often a respectable core underneath. Also, if this would make the list of one of your favorite games i think a standalone sakoban levelpack can arguably make the list, and i think it's important to convey that it is in fact one of your favorite interactive digital "game, video" experiences. What offline sakoban engine do you use, by the way, and where do you find levels? This video also lead me down a rabbit hole and i found out Jonathan Blow's next game is going to be a sakoban clone, so that's cool.

Got to the 16th one and its nice picking up on these little movement patterns I can utilize to get thru certain "slices" of the puzzles
its fun learning a game mechanic like this because you learn it intuitively, in such a way where its difficult to put into words exactly what you've learned
since nobody has said it, shoutouts to baba is you, otherwise known as Programming Sokoban
Omg we got a full thanks for watching this time, though im sure on my second rewatch the youtube app will clip it for you haha!
sokoban is the best furry game ive ever played in my entire life
Sokoban is such an intriguing sub-genre of puzzle games. Truly something worth studying!!
ok, I'm only through 4 of these, but wow each one of them is so tightly designed and clever, perfect use of limited space, it's such a good puzzle experience

I recently moved apartments and I kept thinking about this game while trying to walk among all the boxes with stuff that I had laying around
I just finished puzzle 19, and wow. That had a superb aha moment.
For anyone looking for more sokoban, I recommend Patrick's Parabox and Jelly is Sticky, 2 of the best games of this year IMO

This game is similar to Chips Challenge, a 80s game.
