@@TheBelrick I Highly doubt that you quit Cs. Maybe 1.6 but you probably still played Css. Or CZ. Which in everyones mind is the same as Cs. Only difference back then... Admins actually knew about cheating. In CS go now a days. Cheaters can run around blatantly showing wallhacks n shit on custom servers and on VAC MM servers, And maybe one or two gets banned a day.
@@inceneration I played in beta 4 before valve bought the mod. I was there for the birth of esports by travelling to local lan's to compete in games for prizes that had spectator streaming. I initially played on a 56k modem (hence why lan meetups were vital for competitive) and when i got the first ADSL modem i was destroyed people with there 200 ping vs. my 30ping.
Good memories but to be among the best even then was way to much time in darkened rooms and i had just started a family.
ps: we had cheaters back in 2000 too. I remember a competitive game where a famous pro player was recorded and his weird actions shown to all. Then the recording was played back with the cheat invisible walls enabled and suddenly that pros actions made sense. He was reacting to players behind walls. yeah i remember your protests of innocence you pos.

Watched this back in high-school like 9 or 10 years ago my friends showed me this video and we laughed together. Now we're grown ups, some have families and one friend died due to motorcycle accident.
For anyone wondering what happened to the author and whether he died. No he didn't, he is in-fact still an animator and works for CubicMotion.
