Not sure tbh. I just know I have used it for a ton of stuff. Mostly my snowboard but also when moving. It has held many large pieces of furniture with ease.

I have no idea how roof racks work. Are they universal or do I need to buy one specific to my car? I have a 1995 accord and want a budget rack that still fits nice but I'm having little luck finding something of good value

There are many universal roof racks available but you want to make sure they’re not too wide. If you’re on a budget look on sights like Craig’s list and offer up. If you’re having no luck, do a general google search for universal roof racks that fit ‘95 accords. Good luck 👍🏼

Why u didnt just buy a inno fairing instead of cutting into a 300$ rack weakening it

I wanted OEM base carrier. I dont like Inno, i like Thule. The base carrier was not weakened because it has a center brace millimeters deeper than the channel. Plus, my base carrier will never be used for anything more than my snowboards. Lastly, I paid for the base carrier so its mine to do what I want. This is what I wanted.
