- How to install a carbon fiber front lip. It was super easy but I could of used an extra person throughout the whole installation process. This is a universal install.

Wow . You did it the hard way but best way. I crawled under the front bumper , lined it up., marked it , drilled and screwd it in with non - corossive screws ..and it came out perfectly. But that was with a bit of luck .
Lucky. Yeah I would have done it that way... the only issue I had with that was... the car was way to low
I have the same lip for my Jetta. I glued my 3-pieces together with a good clear dry adhesive and did not use the standard screws it came with. Used nuts and bolts so I know 100% that the lip isn’t going to fly off my bumper. But I didn’t have to take off my whole bumper, I just jacked it up all the way, and used Jack stands. 🤙
Thank you for that. I will probably do that next time. I know for sure, this wont be the last time I install this lip.... I'm sure I'll destroy it driving and get another one. I'll probably glue it all together then install it
How did you add the nuts on the inside of the bumper without taking it off? Did you have to remove the splash shield or just get your arm in above it? I’m thinking of using nuts and bolts when I install mine I just didn’t know if you could get behind or not without taking the bumper off
@@drewwilliams4730 Hey what you saw in the video is exactly what I did . I did not use bolts and I did not reach behind the "splash shield". That thing is extremely difficult to reach behind to begin with. Bolts are a good idea. Whenever I break this lip I might use bolts but the screws work just as good if you do it right. If you do not want to take the bumper off, jack up the car and use screws to screw the lip on. Even easier than what I did. Removing the bumper is easy for me because I have done it many times in many different videos . ( fog light install, fog light leds, front grill, head lights, etc)

Where did you get your fog lights? I also have the 2016 vw base model & it’s completely stock & I want to add a few things, let me know.
I got them online from ecstuning. Installed myself , wired by a shop.

Ebay doesn't have this particular type of carbon lip for the jetta acctually I do have a 2014 MK6 GLI maybe it'll not fit
