Also I will say this, if you fit everything you need in that one box, try a finsport 6x6 wallet. Has about 10 or so 6"x6" ziplock bags, clips right to your belt, it's nice having everything you need right there in one place on your hip.

Another good one Tom. I think the carp may have just finished their spawn here in SoCal. I had the first 3 fish day of my short carping career (fishing not griping) yesterday. Used Uncle Tom's Old Fashioned Oats and Sweet Feed pellets.

I love fishing when it rains. Nobody out on the water, lots of oxygenation. As long as it's not too cold or thundering I always go out when it's raining.

It's so frustrating when you miss pre-spawn. I was waiting and waiting for my local canal to be filled, tried in my river and was too early cause it was still cold, two weeks later right after the canal got filled and they were already spawning. Missed by like 2 days grrrr

Great video. I'm having trouble whenever my middle rod gets a bite....I end up tangling up in one of my other reels. How do you handle it? Do you step over or move the other rod?
I space my rods so there is a couple of feet between each to prevent that.
I love eating a tuna sandwich while fishing.
How much difference does the pack bait make vs. just hook bait? Have you done any comparisons?

What line are you using to tie your hair rigs? I've been using jigs, but now that the fish are tired from spawning I'm starting to miss a lot of subtle bites on the jig, so I'm going to switch to hair rigs. Also sorry to hear about the kayaker, I've recently changed to fishing in the thick weeds specifically to avoid them

“Sweet feed pellets”. Are these the things they sell for horses? All I can find is 50 pound bags… Nowhere to store such.
