This video shows you how to replace the inner tie rods on your 2004-2010 BMW X3. The inner tie rod has a ball joint that can wear over time, causing a clunking noise, loose steering, and eventually, other problems with the wheel and suspension components. It’s a good idea to replace your inner tie rods as soon as you notice any of these symptoms.
This repair was done on a 2007 BMW X3 3.0si 3.0L Sport Utility 4-Door AWD and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
