Pregnancy brain turns into mommy brain. I actually found out that happens so mommies loose verbal communication skills because the brain needs to focus nonverbal communication. What a trip that is. I could not remember the world chandelier for the life of me for 2 years
THIS. when I was pregnant it was so hard to find anything! Towards the end, all I wore was cheapy maternity dresses because that’s all I could afford that fit! Universal standard also has a couple options. I would also 100% recommend a robe for labor and after birth and postpartum! I lived in my pink blush robe!!
I have had such a HARD TIME finding maternity and nursing clothes that were actually affordable to me as a plus sized, tight budgeted woman. With both pregnancies I just remember being brought to tears because I couldn't find anything that would fit let alone look cute and help me feel confident. Thank you for making this video

Thank you so much for including brands that are size inclusive on both sides of the spectrum. I find it so frustrating when I hear someone rave about a size inclusive brand that goes up to like a 4X, but also starts at a small. That's plus size-inclusive, not size-inclusive. If a brand can't so much as carry an XS I don't consider it truly size inclusive, so thank you for sharing brands that cater to smaller people as well.
Inclusivity is important for everyone. I cannot begin to even tell you the difficulty of shopping as plus size woman who wears a 4x. Most stores that do plus only go up to 2-3x. The ones that offer 4x like Maurices or JCPenney don't have much 4x in store because they sold already or they just never bothered to stock it in the first place. I've also found that these stores despite offering 4x in tops will only carry up to 2-3x for pants size which makes no sense. Basically if I want to shop in person, I have to drive an hour to get to Torrid and it is the only store that I could buy something from in the entire mall! Having just one place to shop is actually a step up too, because I've had many years where there was no where to shop. Generally I just stick to online shopping, so I can actually find something.

Personally, I also tend to stick to online shopping because it's incredibly difficult to find clothes in-store that are my size (I'm a 00, xxs/xs for context). and it's even more difficult being that size and also not being short, because finding pants is a living nightmare. I have about a 30/31 inch inseam, but the tall-cut pants almost always start at a 2 which I will never understand. I'm never gonna discredit that brands NEED to include more plus-size options, but I also feel like people act like being thin means that finding clothes is a breeze when it isn't.
I think because it's so difficult to find decent and decently priced plus size clothing I don't have an issue with it the same as I don't have an issue with brands who specialise in petite clothing.

Man, this struggle is real. Before pregnancy I was a 2xl and trying to find maternity clothes in my size is practically impossible. Especially without breaking the bank. Most maternity lines I find are in straight sizes like you mentioned. It’s almost like brands are saying “you already have a big stomach, just size up or something.” But I’m sure you can attest, that sizing up just doesn’t cut it. I’m only growing in my stomach area and breasts, boot really anywhere else. So sizing up would cause weird fit issues. Plus, I want cute outfits that actually accentuate my bump. For once in my life I don’t feel ashamed of my stomach. It took a while for me to show, but now that I am, I am proud of my mama belly and I want to wear clothes that make me feel confident and cute. Not like a potato in a sack. Thank you so much for making this video. Even if I can’t afford any of this, I’m glad someone is finally talking about this issue. Us big mamas are STILL MAMAS.

When I was pregnant with my now 10 year old, Old Navy had a surprisingly amazing selection of plus size maternity clothes. I was so disappointed to find out they discontinued the plus size maternity line when I was pregnant with my youngest a few years ago. So glad to see there are more choices now!

Would be great if after baby has arrived you re-do the try on of the before/during/after items. Along with clips of you wearing them at 37-40 weeks. A real review of do they live up to their claims.
Honestly, as a girl that has a naturally round belly with a smaller chest I've had quite a few pieces from the maternity section. They typically give room for the belly without expecting you to have a very large chest. Clothes that are meant to hide a bump are honestly great for me.
Am I pregnant? No. Am I even over 20? No. Do me and Sierra share the same style? Not really. Am I still gonna watch every single video for Sierra's personality and the creativity involved? YOU BETCHA
Give yourself a few more weeks and the blue dress will be the perfect length as your bump grows! I’m 36 weeks right now and the maternity clothes definitely started fitting better around week 30! 🥰

When I was pregnant and looking for maternity wear, I also looked for tops/dresses I could nurse in. Several items were culled before purchase because they didn't meet that criteria. For me pregnancy is too short a time to buy only for that purpose.
That blue dress is PERFECT for a photoshoot or baby shower. I actually like photoshoot dresses to be a little long, because they look more whimsical and romantic in pictures.

We actually used those pink blush lace dresses in mauve and burgundy as our bridesmaids dresses and loved them!

Honestly, as a girl that has a naturally round belly with a smaller chest I've had quite a few pieces from the maternity section. They typically give room for the belly without expecting you to have a very large chest. Clothes that are meant to hide a bump are honestly great for me.

When I was pregnant and looking for maternity wear, I also looked for tops/dresses I could nurse in. Several items were culled before purchase because they didn't meet that criteria. For me pregnancy is too short a time to buy only for that purpose.
That blue dress is PERFECT for a photoshoot or baby shower. I actually like photoshoot dresses to be a little long, because they look more whimsical and romantic in pictures.
