They make an actual pregnancy inflatable thing. You should order it for the vlog! It has a more realistic hole size for the belly. Such a good video. Loved all the hacks 😍😂

There are extenders and other things for shaving, sponges, back cleaners, hair washing that have been designed for disabled people 😊 I have an illness that cause severe joint issues and can not have my arms up to wash my hair due to dislocations in my shoulders and while washing my hair I dislocate finger joints so for washing my hair I have a long stick that has a two attachments that are different sizes to wash my hair, one is made of silicone nubs taht mimic finger tips and maybe 2.5-3.5inches wide and 4-6inches long, the other is more like a wide denman wet brush type of attachment.. There are so many things disabled people use in everyday life that would help so much for pregnant people! My friends were shocked how much help things like razor extenders andsponges attached to curved long handles..

Yes! I am occupational therapist and we call this adapted equipment. We often recommend long handled grooming instruments to people post surgery or with mobility issues.

Re: the slip-on shoes hack, there are actually no-tie shoelace kits out there with elastic shoelaces that are pretty inexpensive. If anyone is thinking of trying out that hack, it’s probably a bit less hassle.

I've used those elastic shoelace kits and hated it. Almost none of the elastics fit right. I think elastic string like she did would be better

I’ve also tried elastic laces and they snapped on first wear! I, assuming you could just put the elastics through like a shoelace and tie a knot rather than each separate one though?
Love them!!! Have them on multiple shoes. One set I got is geared toward kids but work for adult shoes too.
That extra elastic band is an old school fix for your fav jeans that maybe you've just bloated or outgrown for a short bit. HOWEVER, most importantly, it can save women on a tighter budget for maternity clothing a great deal of cash by being able to use their per-pregnancy pants as long as possible. Be sure to get a snap on button (like the one shown here) or know how to sew a button. If you glue a button (like it appeared in 5 min crafts), you may have disastrous results at a very inconvenient time if you suddenly put too much pressure on the button point!
razor extenders have existed for a long time. They were nade for disabled folks but should help while pregnant.
I'm not even pregnant and I'm currently googling to see if I can buy a sponge and a razor on a stick 😂
They actually sell "razor extension handles" as well as "elastic shoe laces" so you don't have to tie any elastics or mutilate sponges! 😁 Amazon knows all 🧘🏾♀️

Honestly a shocking success rate for 5 minute crafts. I think I understand where they were going with the pool toy. If I remember right there are stomach sleeper pregnancy pillows and they were trying to make a cheap version. But they are shaped so you aren't mashing your face into plastic

I agree. I suppose some might be full retail prices, but how often do you pay full retail price? I basically never do. I don't think the markdown price is a deal unless it's AT LEAST 50% off. And then there's the fact that they pay people next to nothing for their clothes. I love Sierra, too, but I wish thredup was a little better deal for the sellers and buyers.

When I was pregnant I just wrapped a hair elastic around the button, through the button hole and back onto the button. It worked so well!
Same. A person could even buy the huge hair ties that are for extremely thick hair.
I feel like the bra could maybe work if you spritzed it all over with water and put it in the FREEZER for like 20 or so minutes...

I saw someone rockin that look at the grocery store. They were wearing pre-distressed jeans, so having one more hole exposing some skin wasn't too out of place.

The long handle, elastic laces and shoe horns are all things we use in occupational therapy with patients with limited mobility! they were actually on to something here
When I was pregnant with my son I couldn’t afford a whole lot so I used the first hack my whole pregnancy! You do what you gotta do! 😂
yes but I used an elastic ponytail holder and then an elastic headband
I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant and so badly wanted this to work, but, sadly, I can't stand ANY pressure on my lower tummy due to pains 😞 I also found that after a while, the jeans would shift and bunch weirdly in the front

First hack is something maturity stores carry called a belly band but comes with a piece of material that covers the belly.
Yes! I used these when I was pregnant. Loved it.
I used a hair tie and it worked plus no craft time.
It's extremely refreshing to see Sierra's fresh face, after seeing so many edited and full glam faces everywhere its really nice seeing a natural face comfortable in her own skin. It makes me want to go make up less a lot more :)

The only reason I can see for cutting up a t-shirt to "layer" it under a button-up would be to prevent overheating with multiple layers?

I think the whole point was that the button down didn't fit anymore, so they wanted to extend it a bit. I think it would have been more clear if it was the same fabric.

I think this is also for people who just have a bunch of clothes they don't fit in anymore and can't afford to buy new things so combining two items that don't fit alone they get at least one usable top.

The elastic is really good for earlier in pregnancy when you are nearly out of your pre pregnancy Jean's but still too small for preggie Jeans
I’d recommend getting elastic laces with a lock at the top. That way you don’t need to tie them at all
There are lots of options out there that doesn’t require this much effort.
The elastic hack would work post pregnancy....when you still have your baby weight but are tired of pregnancy clothes and want your old comfy things.
I use the hair band trick for when I'm bloated lol. Just double loop a hair band through button hole and then the other end around the button. Works a treat. Not sure about this far into pregnancy, but would def work early on. The elastic hack is just a sturdier version of this, for when you need more give.
As soon as I heard the words “sewing tape” I knew it was gonna be a mess 😂 if you put your trust in sewing tape or hot glue, you’re gonna have a bad time
yea sewing tape isnt meant to hold things together permanently. its meant to actually SEW with. it just provides a very temporary hold, so the person sewing can place things and have it hold while you then transfer it to a sewing machine or handstitch. and it doesnt even hold temporarily very well either lol.
I'm not pregnant, but not gonna lie, that elastic "laces" hack sounds pretty interesting
I had old vlogs running as background while I did some cleaning and the one where you pretend to be pregnant with Kenzie came up, and you said you were due in May. I'm just so happy for you!

You think the pool float one is a joke, but I had back to back pregnancies and with my second, my muscles were so loose that I would sit on a pile of pillows in that shape every few hours to rest the muscles in my back. It was the only way I could get some relief! If I had a floatie, I would have used it lol
They have an actual pregnancy mattress that does a much better job at being comfortable on your belly and relieving those aches. It's called the CozyBump. I got one with my last pregnancy and used it a few times for napping. They have since changed the design a bit and now I'm in the 3rd trimester with my next baby I'm seriously considering getting the new one because it looks even more comfortable. I've been using the one I have a lot though! Seriously a game changer if you're dealing with a lot of lower back, hips, and/or sciatica pain.

I loved my pregnancy pillow too. It was months post partum before I was ready to give it up. It was super helpful with my c-section recovery.
I am disabled due to chronic back and nerve pain and I do some of these accessibility modifications. Something to remember, that disabled folks, in some cases, have these mobility issues daily, forever!

I think the hack 5 was in the event that your T-shirts are too small. That said, there is no WAY the sewing tape was going to work. T-shirts are a stretchy knit. The surface area is constantly moving but the iron-on tape doesn't stretch. Not user error - that was a dud before you even started. Great job on all of these.
I know it is about the hacks, but for the shoelaces, they actually sell elastic no-tie laces, they are great for traveling and when you need to constantly take your shoes off.

Yeah, I was pregnant during a very hot summer, I wore the bare minimum. Though I still had to dress nice for work (and our AC went out that summer) and I had fans everywhere. You can only remove so many clothes before it's weird lol also being from CA myself, I have no idea what they're thinking. Never dressed like that when living there.

Im watching you with the shoe laces and im like "huh?". Im from the Netherlands and you can just by those elastic laces in different types here, its really normal haha. Even when youre not pregnant its really helpfull.
My daughter is ten, I still sleep with my pillow. Hubby gets too hot if I cuddle him when sleeping, and I have a bad back so having one leg up is comfy. I now have a permanent 12ft full body cuddle in my bed :D

The pants hack could also work if you’ve gained a little weight but don’t want to buy new pants just yet or even if you’re dieting or trying to lose weight and don’t want to keep buying new pants every time you go down a size. You could buy pants a few sizes smaller and use this hack until they actually fit properly.
That only works if you gain your weight on the belly though. I gain it in the thights and then the pants break anyways ^^'
5 minute crafts be like: if you need to tie your shoes when pregnant get a long stick then a shower curtain lather it in soap and poke it through your shoe holes!

This threadup haul is my favorite clothing haul yet! As an older woman who may or may not have serious hot flashes, I have started freezing plastic bottles of water (put less water because it will expand.) I wrap it in a towel and put it under my chin. LOVE THIS!

For the shoes they sell some laces that are primarily for kids who don't know how to tie their shoes yet that are curly and are pretty much the same as what 5 minute craft did except they can be laced up like regular shoes and you can make them tighter or looser. I lived in them when I was younger and still didn't really know how to tie my shoes
My mother used this first trick in the 1980s and 1990s, because there were no maternity clothes in Poland. She used a rubber band for this. I used it at the beginning of pregnancy, when maternity pants were too big for me, and usually too small 😊

I used the jeans elastic hack when I was barely pregnant, at like 7 weeks, probably just very bloated, and my pants were sliding sooo much. I was wearing a huge long coat so it kinda still worked but I can't imagine having just a tshirt over it 😆
