A veteran of the 101st asked Sabaton to play this song at a concert and they actually changed the setlist for that show to include it
Thanks I didnt know that, when was that?
Yeah is There a Video of that ?
Nice way to honor him
They do that often. More often if a Veteran is the one requesting but these guys are super flexable with their set lists
@@Coramelimane yeah , literally every single performance ends uf featuring Swedish Pagans xD
this is the story about the "Nuts" that can be seen in the begining of the video:
The germans were trying to get the 101 to surrender and wrote a message to General McAuliffe
According to those present when McAuliffe received the German message, he read it, crumpled it into a ball, threw it in a wastepaper basket, and muttered, "Aw, nuts". The officers in McAuliffe's command post were trying to find suitable language for an official reply when Lt. Col. Harry Kinnard suggested that McAuliffe's first response summed up the situation pretty well, and the others agreed. The official reply was typed and delivered by Colonel Joseph Harper, commanding the 327th Glider Infantry, to the German delegation. It was as follows:
To the German Commander.
NUTS!
The American Commander.
The German major appeared confused and asked Harper what the message meant. Harper said, "In plain English? Go to hell."[3] The choice of "Nuts!" rather than something earthier was typical for McAuliffe. Vincent Vicari, his personal aide at the time, recalled that "General Mac was the only general I ever knew who did not use profane language. 'Nuts' was part of his normal vocabulary.
copied from Wikipedia.
Awesome reaction as always
Finally, a honest person
Nuts
You should react to:
- Lion From The North
- Night Witches
and "Wolfpack" and "Uprising" and "Thje Last Stand" and "Resist and Bite"
NUTS! - Not Understanding Terms of Surrender :D
If only those are the actual acronym. wwwww
NUTS, NOT UNDER THE SUN.
Love the acronym.
I recommend "Sabaton - Resist and bite" In the battle of the ardennes, a small unit from Belgium were holding the borders from Rommel's "Ghost Division". Due to Radio problems they never got the order to retreat so they held on for 8 hours!!! til they got surrounded and captured and as the germans asked "where are the others?" since they thought they had a huge army up the hill, they replied as they laughed "There are no others, we are all".. Gives me goosebumps everytime.
Smoking Snakes has a similar story that gets ya in the feels as well.
Cobras fumantes, eterna é sua vitória.
@@99Knytes Rise from the blood of your heroes!
You are the onces who refused to surrender!
Resit and bite 👍
They held out for 18 days, not 8 hours. Massive difference, they only stopped when the ran out of ammunition.
@@jacobpaulson23 nope belgium surrendert in 18 days but the story of resist and bite is about a small group of chasseurs ardennais who defended the border in the little city of bodange for 8 hours not 18 days
Since you loved "Screaming Eagles" so much, you will love "Devil Dogs" just as much. It's also by Sabaton and it's about the U.S. marines.
1918 USA intervene, until now they were mainly observing
There in a wheat field in a small piece of land there's a battle that will write history!
Five times attacked and 5 times repelled, on the sixth time they managed to break the lines!
Heart of the Corps and part of their lore, the deadliest weapon on earth!
Kill, fight, die, that's what a soldier should do
Top of their game, earning their name they were the Devil dogs!
In a war machine they were the USA Marines!
Finally. I knew you'd love it 😂
Next recommendations:
Angels Calling (feat. Apocalyptica)
Wolfpack
Night Witches
White Death
The Final Solution
Uprising
Oh and I forgot - their Rammstein cover. Feuer frei 😁
I second White Death and Wolfpack
I think he'd love Attero Dominatus
Not the final solution. It will be awkward
@@carolusgustav4649 I actually would like to see more reactions to this particular song, because I think it's absolutely beautiful, even if it was and still is such a sensitive topic. When I first heard that song, I got goosebumps all over and actually started to cry.
Yes - it is a sensitive topic and I can't imagine the things people had to go through, but in my opinion this must never be forgotten so that history won't repeat itself.
Start with a song to get you into the mood. Uprising official video. Then I know you will love Night witches and Lion from the north. Then you should relax to a Cliffs of Gallipoli or the final solution
David Henriksson winged hussars would be a great warmup as well
Some historical info: It was the 101st Airborne at the Siege of Bastogne -- hence the "Nuts!" response to the German Commander, who had asked for the 101st to surrender Bastogne in 1944.
And this, to spite being low on ammo and food -- they STILL won the day!
My brother was stationed at Ft. Campbell. He was 101 then 82nd. You do know that Jimi Hendrix was stationed there when he was in the Army?
Anything off of the Sabaton Woodstock 2012 concert is gold! However "Uprising" is insanely good at this show since it's about the Warsaw Uprising of 1944 which started on August 1st, 1944 at 5:00 PM when the good brave people of Poland rose up against their Nazi occupiers and said NO MORE!
Lion from the north! You will LOVE this song by Sabaton.....
Lion from the North, check that one out with Sabaton. Greetings from Sweden :)
Battle for the bulge... Bastogne
They also liberated my home town Eindhoven on 18 september 1944.
The screaming Eagles, 101, are he best!!!!
Man, I love it when the music is fast! The faster the better! One of Sabaton's best songs...Screaming Eagles!!!
Hey man! You got to react to the song "TO HELL AND BACK" BY SABATON.
I spent two years as a member of the 101st Airborne when I was on Army active duty, and I just listened to this song for the first time… Awesome! Thank you for sharing it! 🇺🇸
You should check out Sabatons song called White death.. it's about Simo Häyhä who still is the most kills ever as a sniper during wartime. 505 comfirmed kills in ~100 days. Russians feared him and named him "White Death"
Fun fact: those are not scenes from a movie. They're a (sweedish?) reenactment group. Also, night witches next!
Hoping for some more Sabaton, and I got my wish! I would also recommend two more of their songs. Night Witches, about the Russian all-female bomber squadron, and Coat of Arms, about the Greek defence of their homeland from the invasion by Italy.
"Sir we're surrounded!" "We're airborne, we're meant to be surrounded!"
Ok so I just found your channel while looking at sabaton stuff and you are my spirit animal... also check out the red baron by sabaton it's a little different to the rest of their songs but it's so good
That fucking "incoming!" At the start gives me chills every time
Mr. Rock and Roll -- this made my day!
These videos brings so much joy during quarantine, Def my favorite reaction channel! Keep it up 😎
"Not understanding terms of surrender" That's what NUTS means.
Night witches, cliffs of galippoli, a lifetime at war
Youll love Night Witches and Lion from the north
This song and Bismarck is so fucking awesome! Pure energy flows through my body! Both songs were played numerous times the last weeks throgh my speakers, speechless!
Anathema universal live
1. Flying
2. One last goodbye
3. Fragile dream (both versions in this show)
Yaass, that's the Sabaton I was talking about! 🤘🏻 Do Night Witches next please!
♥Mr. Rock N Roll
This song got me into them. Bam, right in the face. Another favorite is Saboteurs.
Uprising at Woodstock 2012 and Swedish Pagans Wacken 2019...
You won't regret it!!!!
Thanks for showing my comment! 🤘😁🍺
It's funny, I've become a fan of these guys and I barely know their music yet. I started watching their tour Vlogs, and they are one hilarious bunch of dudes.
The story about that is, The germans sent a message to the 101:st telling them to surrender and the only thing the commander wrote back was "nuts". Legend
My next recommendations from Sabaton
To hell and back
Soldier of 3 armies
Talvisota
White death
And thanks for awesomes reaction videos! :)
love this song! great reaction. definitely check out Night Witches, Swedish Pagans, Lion from the North, Uprising, and Panzerkampf by them!
Devil Dogs , The Attack of the Dead Men, To Hell and Back, The Lost Battalion and my favorite Aces in Exile
you should definitely try Aces in exile or Far from the fame :)
Ah, another czech fan :-)
actually czech citizen :D
Dude. Can you react to Civil War?
Most of the members are ex-sabaton guys.
Recommend Tombstone and Bay of Pigs.
Greetings from Mexico!!
Polish groups took part in working on the music video. Greetings from Poland. Or maybe the next Uprising?
You have the same name as my brother
Lion From The North
Still don’t know which drummer I like more: Daniel (the beast (in the video)) or Hannes (how toke Floor from the single market 🤪 (current drummer))
Myeah, they're both awesome
Wijnand Wetsteijn true, both I’m leaning more to Daniel, bc his passion for drumming is more intense
Pretty epic reaction :D For most WWII was just a one fight.. Finland did fight 3 times.
From the quick ones, I would recommend the classics (regardless of the order):
Night Witches
The Lion from the North
Resist and Bite
Talvisota
1648 (so underrated song)
Metal crue
From slow:
A lifetime of war (many people say that swedish version is better, but I think they simply cannot understand the size of the tragedy of the english version)
Masters of the world
The final solution
The price of a mile
Kingdom come (Manowar cover)
Hearts of Iron
From something inbetween:
Shiroyama
And just for fun:
The attack of the dead men with Radio Tapok ( ua-cam.com/video/kChcPVOvLSk/v-deo.html )
definitely gotta listen to The Red Baron
this is the third video of sabaton I watched you reacting and its also the third time i ear you say this one is your favorite sabaton song 😂
Next one is Live or Die by Apocalyptica feat. Joakim Broden (sabaton signer)
The Battle of the Bulge 101st were cut off from the allied troops and held the city of Bastogne until General Pattons 3rd army could come 'rescue' them. to this day no one in the battle ever said they needed rescuing. (this is a very paraphrased version as i understand it, please correct any inaccuracy)
I’m going to keep recommending Majestica - Above the Sky, whose singer/guitar player currently plays guitar in Sabaton and the dude can sing
The drummer is Floor’s husband and father to their child
Nope, that would be the current drummer Hannes van Dahl. In this video it's the former drummer Daniel Mullback playing.
Saya Phantom yes of cores it is
Next one, Sabaton - Firestorm, Wolfpack, Unbreakable
I also recommend Sabatons "Metal Crue", it's a great song made by combining names from all the great metal-bands out there!
Please do Long live the king, white death, attack of the dead men or final solution. Your vids always make my day!
Do Night Witches by Sabaton. Its fast as hell! So much power in it! You will love it!
Resist and Bite has a similar, high-energy to it. You definitely need to check it out at some point.
React to Sabaton - Blood of Bannockburn
thank you
One of the best part of the song,is in the opening. When you hear the guy screaming Incoooming
Still would really like to see your reaction to Night Witches. It is about the russian 558th night bombing regiment in about WWII using inter-war planes to terrorize the German divisions that were invading.
"588th"
"Night Witches" (German: die Nachthexen; Russian: Nochnye Vedmy) was a World War II German nickname for the all female military aviators of the 588th Night Bomber Regiment, known later as the 46th "Taman" Guards Night Bomber Aviation Regiment, of the Soviet Air Forces.
@@andrewludwig9251 ok learn something new everyday, it has been a while since I heard the song or looked at the regiment number so I forgot if it was 558 or 588. My bad.
@@hughmann6108 I meant no disrespect. I had to check myself!
@@andrewludwig9251 And I didn't feel like you were being disrespectful, I made a mistake, and you pointed it out, and I did learn something new with the alternative name that they were given, I had never heard of it before, so thank you.
@@hughmann6108 Me too! I never knew of the second unit either. I guess Sabaton used 588 because of how it rhymed with "fate"?
Your chair won a metal during reactions like this one... "Heavy Duty Approved" !!!!
nice done!
'Attack of the Dead Men' please
You always love the fast stuff and there are three very underrated Sabaton songs that are fairly quick off of their Primo Victoria album
"Counterstrike" - the 1967 six day war between Jerusalem, Israel, Jorden, and Egypt.
"Into the Fire" (I haven't looked up the history but it is mostly about napalm in Vietnam)
And last (but definitely not least)
"Reign of Terror" - gulf war 1991
(there isn't a official music video for these but there are pretty good fan made videos for them. Ghostdog780 has a amazing video for reign of terror)
4th attempt
There’s also Future of Warfare
niiice man, you should react to Sabaton - night witches, lion from the north, red baron and Hammerfall - Renegade

Hey buddy, why not try something a little different, like "In Flames - When The World Explodes"? An absolute masterpiece!! 🤯
Or... if you dare... "Cradle Of Filth - Nymphetamine Fix"? 😎🧐
dazlak69 people trash on siren charms as an album but I loved every single song, that one particularly. Dead Eyes, and Rusted Nail are great options too.
Please react to Epica - Kingdom of Heaven (Live video) (Lyrics - English / Español | Subtitulado)! Great song and great performance.
